    Full Text Available Puesto que el lago de Tola constituye hoy en día la única fuente de abastecimiento de agua para nuestra máxima industria nacional, como es Acerías de Paz del Río, porque esta industria depende en un ciento por ciento del lago de Tota para su desarrollo actual y ensanches futuros, según concepto de sus directivas además por ser este un lugar de incomparable belleza al cual debe dársele la importancia que merece, se ha resuelto escribir estas líneas, en las cuales el lector encontrará esbozados en la forma más sucinta posible una serie de hechos que a no dudar todos hemos observado al visitar el lago. No se pretende que este pequeño escrito abarque todo el problema que es de por sí muy vasto y que posiblemente ha sido tratado ya antes con mayor propiedad, pero sí se espera que produzca en cada uno de los lectores una reacción que sea lo suficientemente grande para que logre convertirlos en admiradores de Tota por consiguiente en sus perennes defensores. No tratamos tampoco de inculpar a nadie y menos a ninguna de las entidades nacionales responsables de la conservación de nuestros recursos naturales, sino simplemente de alertar a todos los directivos de esas entidades para que de común acuerdo logremos salvar el Lago de Tota.

  3. Assessing the deep drilling potential of Lago de Tota, Colombia, with a seismic survey

    Reconciling orbital-scale patterns of inter-hemispheric South American climate during the Quaternary requires continuous, high-resolution paleoclimate records that span multiple glacial cycles from both hemispheres. Southern Andean Quaternary climates are represented by multi-proxy results from Lake Titicaca (Peru-Bolivia) spanning the last 400 ka and by pending results from the Lago Junin Drilling Project (Peru). Although Northern Andean sediment records spanning the last few million years have been retrieved from the Bogota and Fúquene Basins in the Eastern Cordillera of the Colombian Andes, climatic reconstructions based on these cores have thus far been limited to pollen-based investigations. When viewed together with the Southern Hemisphere results, these records suggest an anti-phased hemispheric climatic response during glacial cycles. In order to better assess orbital-scale climate responses, however, independent temperature and hydroclimate proxies from the Northern Hemisphere are needed in addition to vegetation histories. As part of this objective, an effort is underway to develop a paleoclimate record from Lago de Tota (3030 m asl), the largest lake in Colombia and the third largest lake in the Andes. One of 17 highland tectonic basins in Eastern Cordillera, Lago de Tota formed during Tertiary uplift that deformed pre-foreland megasequences, synrift and back-arc megasequences. The precise age and thickness of sediments in the Lago de Tota basin has not previously been established. Here, we present results from a recent single-channel seismic reflection survey collected with a small (5 cubic inch) air gun and high-resolution CHIRP sub-bottom data. With these data, we examine the depositional history and sequence stratigraphy of Lago de Tota and assess its potential as a deep drilling target.

    The lapse from July to November of 2003 a study was made to determine the spatial and temporal concentration of phosphorus in the lake of Tota (Boyaca, Colombia). Samples were taken with a Van-Dorn bottle of the horizontal type of two-liter capacity in the superficial stratum up to 20 cm in the water column and at 10 m depth. The different forms of phosphorus studied, show that there are significant differences in their concentrations, the highest values being found in the sector known as Lago Chico and the lowest in the area of Lago Grande; this behavior is found to be closely related to the agricultural uses of the land in the littoral zone and additionally with the climatic factors especially the precipitation in the area investigated

    Full Text Available The Tota lake catchment is a major onion-producing area in Colombia. Conventional agricultural practices use pesticides to control diseases that attack the crop, and in onion- production in this area fungicides are most commonly used due to the Paramo weather conditions and its location, 3015 meters above sea level (masl. These factors are conducive to the proliferation of fungi in the soil and in crops. In order to evaluate the movement of pesticides to Lake Tota, water samples and suspended sediments were taken for seven months in several channels that traverse the area and flow into the lake. In surface waters, malathion, tebuconazole, difenoconazole and chlorothalonil were detected and even quantified in some samples. In suspended sediments, malathion was detected at concentrations between 1.90 mg/kg and 4.38 mg/kg, and chlorothalonil ranged from 0.27 mg/kg to 1.29 mg/kg. To determine concentrations of fungicides in surface water closer to the source water samples from a runoff plot located in the study area were monitored for tebuconazole and difenoconazole. In dissolved form, tebuconazole was found at a concentration of 4800 ng/L and difenoconazole at a concentration of 330 ng/L. The Pesticide Impact Rating Index (PIRI was used to assess the risk of surface water contamination by pesticides commonly used in onion production. Index values indicating high to very high risk of surface water contamination were found for tebuconazole, malathion and chlorothalonil. These results agree with the experimental evaluations.

    Full Text Available El objetivo de este estudio fue caracterizarfisicoquímicamente la corriente LasCintas, afluente al lago de Tota, ubicadoen el departamento de Boyacá. Se determinaronlos parámetros de temperatura,pH, conductividad, oxígeno disuelto,DQO, DBO5, concentración de especiesde nitrógeno (nitratos y nitritos y concentraciónde especies de fósforo (fósforototal, fósforo hidrolizable total, ortofosfatototal y fósforo orgánico total,para lo cual se efectuaron seis muestreosentre septiembre y noviembre del 2009,en cinco puntos seleccionados sobre lacorriente. Estos análisis se realizaron siguiendometodologías normalizadas parael análisis de aguas. En los resultadosse observan comportamientos de pocavariabilidad en los parámetros de temperatura,pH, conductividad y oxígenodisuelto; en cuanto al aporte de nitratos,se determinó que el desarrollo de cultivosen las proximidades de la corrienteaumenta la concentración de estos iones,que pueden ser arrastrados al lago. Respectoa las diferentes especies de fósforoevaluadas permiten establecer la escasacontribución de fósforo orgánico haciael cuerpo de agua, además del aportesignificativo de fósforo por detergentesvertidos en la corriente. Basándose en lacaracterización efectuada, se puede establecerque la actividad agrícola aportanutrientes que probablemente favorecenel desarrollo del proceso de eutrofizaciónen el lago de Tota.

    Full Text Available This paper will examine an anonymous ‘planh’, “Totas honor e tuig faig benestan”, for the death of Manfred of Swabia, illegitimate son of Frederick II, who was killed in the battle of Benevento in 1266. The text is copied in a section of the ‘twin’ chansonniers I and K which contains mainly lyric laments (an exception in the troubadour manuscript tradition and for this reason will serve as a basis for a discussion of the concept of ‘documentary series’. The paper will also consider the author’s origin, probably Italian on the basis of the linguistic and metrical evidence, and attempt to place the planh more precisely within the context of the struggle between Charles of Anjou and Manfred, as well as illustrate the role played by political troubadour poetry at the Italian court of the last Swabians.

  10. High-resolution paleoclimate records of Holocene hydroclimatic variability in the Eastern Colombian Andes from Lago de Tota

    The Northern Hemisphere (NH) South American Monsoon (SAM) is a significant source of precipitation for the North Andes (north of 0˚) and has major control over regional hydroclimate variability. Holocene-length histories of NH SAM variability are few compared to the Southern Hemisphere (SH), limiting understanding of how these systems are connected on orbital and shorter timescales. Here, we present multi-proxy lake-sediment-based paleoclimate and paleohydrologic reconstructions from Lago de Tota, Colombia, using sedimentological, geochemical and leaf-wax hydrogen isotopic indicators from radiometically dated cores. The results indicate periods of wet and dry climate phases during the past 9000 BP with an average Holocene sedimentation rate 33cm/kyr. An increase in total organic matter (TOM) content and finer grain-size distributions was observed from 8000 to 3200 BP, suggesting a period of high lake level. This was followed by lower TOM and coarser grain sizes, suggesting lower lake levels from 3200 BP to the present. Although Tota's lake level pattern is antiphased with other lake level reconstructions from the NH and SH Andes, it is consistent with hypothesized changes in atmospheric convection over the Andes during the Holocene and the way in which they would be modified by the so-called dry island effect in the Colombian Andes. This suggests that a common forcing mechanism can be invoked to explain differing millennial-scale Andean hydroclimate changes, namely atmospheric convection. Orbital and Pacific atmosphere-forcing are therefore likely to have played a significant role in driving pan-Andean hydroclimate variability based on their inter-hemispheric influence on Andean convection.

    Full Text Available In this study, the total waste from the production of rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss ( Wa l b a u m (Salmoniformes: Salmonidae in Lake Tota freshwater ecosystem, located in the Department of Boyacá, Colombia, and its potential impact on the lake was estimated. This economic activity has been carried out intensively since 2005 using submerged cages in the lake. With data obtained from the National Authority for Aquaculture and Fisheries (Aunap, the Autonomous Regional Corporation of Boyacá (Corpoboyacá, and the Chamber of Commerce of Sogamoso, fish farmers, their geographical location on the lake, production by these farms were identified, and with this information the amount of waste produced, including the amounts of nitrogen and phosphorus generated in this process was calculated. The results indicate that the lake is polluted due to intensive trout production. It is recommended to improve or modify trout production methods that will minimize water pollution.

    Full Text Available Durante los meses de julio a noviembre del año 2003 se llevó a cabo el estudio sobre la determinación espacio-temporal de la concentración de fósforo en el Lago de Tota (Boyacá, Colombia. Las muestras se tomaron con la botella Van-Dorn tipo horizontal de dos litros de capacidad en el estrato superficial hasta 20 cm en la columna de agua y a 10 m de profundidad. Las distintas formas de fósforo estudiadas demuestran que existen diferencias significativas en sus concentraciones; los mayores valores se encontraron en el sector denominado Lago Chico y los menores en el área de Lago Grande; este comportamiento se encuentra muy asociado con los usos agrícolas del suelo en la zona litoral y con los factores climáticos, especialmente la precipitación en el área de estudio.

    Full Text Available This paper presents the design for automating sprinkler irrigation system in a Welsh onion growing, which poses the required parameters, establishes the differences, advantages and results related to the traditional irrigation system used in this region (Tota, Boyacá. Starting from the resources owned by the farming unit, calculations of water requests of the plant, taking into account the crop evapotranspiration, the irrigation planning with certain factors on the basis of effective storage of soils. Two different technologies for the design are presented: hard-wired and programmable logic. The hard-wired logic system is developed as an automatic cyclical sequence with four work timed stages; on the other hand, the programmable logic controller PLC used, is the Easy-512-DC of Moller, which is provided with eight digital inputs and four relay outputs, programmed in Ladder according to the sequence of the process.

    Full Text Available Se realizó un seguimiento a la población de Boeckella gracilis Daday, 1902 en el lago de Tota, Boyacá, Colombia, durante seis meses con periodicidad quincenal a partir de mayo de 2004. La densidad poblacional fue de 11.968 Ind.m-3 en promedio y expresó un incremento progresivo hasta el final del estudio que corresponde a época de fuertes lluvias en la zona y aguas altas en el lago. Los machos adultos dominaron en densidad y biomasa, constituyendo el 32,5% y el 35,8% de la población, respectivamente. La fecundidad promedio se estimó en 0,32 huevos por hembra. En la época de aguas altas se presentó un aumento de la actividad reproductiva evidenciado por el incremento de la fecundidad y el mayor número de copepoditos. Con base en el análisis de componentes principales, la transparencia, el pH y el oxígeno disuelto fueron las variables determinantes de la expresión temporal del hábitat. El comportamiento de la biomasa de la población se asoció positivamente con la variación de la densidad de los adultos y copepoditos y negativamente con la concentración de oxígeno disuelto en el lago.

    Full Text Available In the river basin of the Tota lake (Boyacá there are two differents zones related to the geomorphology, soil and climate. In the noreast zone the ecological conditions allow that the vegetation shows a greater cover; in the norwest zone on the other hand these conditions are very drastic, the floristic composition of vegetation is poor and generally speaking the landscape is of "arid type".  The distribution of vegetation in the river basin is caused by topographic variations (altitude, reIief and by differences of climate (temperature and solar radiation. Around the lake, the soil-content of water and nutrients, the physiography and the wind-action in some cases determine of the arrangement of plants-associations. These units of vegetation (associations are described following the Zurich-Montpellier school and the rules and recomendations of the Code of Phytosociological Nomenclature (BARKMAN et at.. 1976.  Among these units are the: forest of Alnus acuminata subsp.  acuminata which grow on moist and marsh places around the lake and the sparse scrub with Hypericum ruscoides and Plantago monticola ond dry places.  In the "Páramo-región", the dense scrub with Brachyotum striqosum and Celamaqrostis effusa and the stemrosette communities with Espeletia lopezii were studied.  The "life-form" spectrum (RAUNKIAER, en BRAUN-BLANQUET, 1979 and the leaf characters (size, consistency, indumentation for each association also are provided. En la geomorfología y en el clima de la cuenca del lago de Tota, se diferencian dos regiones: nor-oriental y nor-occidental.     Full Text Available The mid XVI th century marian frescoes of the Franciscan convents of Huejotzingo, Puebla, are visual proves of the Immaculist devotion of the first missionaries. Amongst the numerous engravings from Northern Europe, which invaded New Spain via the Spanish port of Seville from the Conquest onwards, one image depicts the Virgin as the Tota Pulchra. Within the evangelisation of the New world and the intensive reproduction process it involved to impose Christian iconographies onto the American landscape, the type of the Tota pulchra was reinterpreted with an apocalyptic point of view. The Historia de los Indios de la Nueva España written by one of the first Franciscan friars who came to preach in New Spain, Toribio de Benavente, known as Motolinia, lays the principles of the Franciscan utopia derived from the millenarian theories of Joachim of Fiore, announcing the advent of the Age of the Holy Spirit and the reign of the New Eve. This particular context fostered new epiphanies around 1555, amongst which the image of the Mexican Guadalupe stands first. However it would not be until the publication, nearly a century later of Miguel Sánchez’s « Imagen de la Virgen María, Madre de Dios de Guadalupe…»(1648, whose text, largely inspired by the Augustinian exegesis identifies the Virgin of the Guadalupe with the Woman of the Revelation, that the image of the Tepeyac would acquire its canonical status of acheiropoieta and reveals itself as the living symbol of the New American Church.

The special character of the form and contents represents a basic trait of Kotor's religious painting corroborated by the preserved fragments of the wall paintings which emerged in the period from the beginning of the 13th to the end of the 15th century. The studiyng of Kotor`s pictura graeca in a historical context in which it emerged and endured inspires the contemplating of the course which Kotor took, from a distinctive cultural and diplomatic centre within the framework of the Serbian medieval state to a border town at the edge of the Venetian Republic. Lo scopo di questo saggio è quello di fornire una revisione generale delle circostanze della costituzione, del riconoscimento, della durata e della dissoluzione della pittura religiosa nella Cattaro tardo medievale, che in varie fonti e studi è chiamata pictura graeca. Questo comporta uno specifico metodo che può essere messo alla prova corrispondentemente nello stile così come nell’iconografia, consistente nel considerare e analizzare tale evento come un fenomeno complesso all’interno del contesto storico, sociale, economico, religioso e culturale. Così la nascita e la durata della pictura graeca di Cattaro possono essere esaminate dal punto di vista del pubblico, per il quale tale pittura è stata realizzata, cioè come espressione del gusto del milieu e dei committenti, costituitosi in un determinato contesto storico. Il carattere speciale della forma e del contenuto rappresenta un tratto fondamentale della pittura religiosa di Cattaro, corroborata da frammenti superstiti di dipinti murali realizzati nel periodo che va dall’inizio del XIII alla fine del XV secolo. Lo studio della pictura graeca di Cattaro, nel contesto storico in cui è emersa e perdurata, invita a considerare il ruolo che la stessa città di Cattaro ha avuto, da caratteristico centro culturale e diplomatico nel quadro dello stato medievale serbo a città di confine alla periferia della Repubblica di Venezia.

  14. Uranium Exploration in Paipa and Iza Area, Colombia: A Preliminary Report of New Contributions

    This paper shows the preliminary results from uranium exploration of the Boyacá Department, for the first survey conducted by the Colombian state after 26 years. The exploration was carried out this year and the zone covers an area of 460 square kilometers divided into three sectors, located in the municipalities of Sogamoso Paipa, Iza, Tota and Pesca, Chivata and Tuta. The area is dominated by Cretaceous-Tertiary sedimentary rocks Quaternary sediments. Paipa and Iza exposes outcrops volcanic and sedimentary rocks; and the major structural features are Arcabuco anticline, Los Medios syncline and Boyaca and Soapaga faults. The sedimentary formations from the oldest to most recent in the area are: Tibasosa Formation; Une Formation, Conejo Formation; Plaeners Formation; Los Pinos Formation; Labor y Tierna Formation, Guaduas Formation Socha Formation; Picacho Formation an Concentration Formation; in the area outcrops also, volcanic rocks (rhyolites porphyrites and andesites); and explosive (pumices). In the Paipa Area, three anomalous sites (Durazno, Quebrada Honda and Casa Blanca) were found with values ranging between 440 and 7 500 counts/s, the highest values were reported in the Durazno area. The host rocks are volcanic rocks (tophus) and tectonic breccias with thin strips of coal from the Guaduas Formation. In 1979 the studies by ENUSA (Spain) reported values up to 3 800 counts/s. In Iza, five anomalous zones (El Crucero, San Miguel, Cuitiva — Iza, Erika and Tota — Pesca) was found with values ranging between 480 and 4 480 counts/s. Host rocks are igneous rocks in Erika sector; and phosphates in El Crucero sector with a maximum value of 2 100 counts/s. In shot holes made in Iza the values went up from 1 200 counts/s in surface to 4 480 counts/s in depth (1.60 m). In Paipa, the values incerased from 4 500 in surface to 7 500 counts/s at 1.50 meters.     Climate change, global warming and the deterioration of related environmental conditions cause an important problem for forest tree species. For this reason, it is necessary to determine the response of trees to these conditions. The Objective of this study was to investigate the effects of water stress on seed germination of fifteen Pinus nigra Arnold. provenances in Turkey. For this purpose, the water stresses between 0 and -8.0 bars were obtained using polyethylene glycol-6000 (PEG) solutions. Seeds were kept for 35 days at 20 ± 0.5 degree C. In this study, significant variations between the provenances were found. Ankara Uluhan ( percent 95, 08) and Isparta Tota ( percent 85, 41) provenances at -8.0 bars having the highest cumulative germination percentages were the most resistant provenances against the water stress. This study has shown that the water stress reduced the germination speed, germination percentage and germination value. (author)

    An ab initio total energy calculation has been performed for electronic excited states in diamond and rhombohedral graphite by the full-potential linearized augmented plane wave method within the framework of the local density approximation (LDA). First, calculations for the core-excited state in diamond have been performed to show that the ab initio calculations based on the LDA describe the wavefunctions in the electronic excited states as well as in the ground state quite well. Fairly good coincidence with both experimental data and theoretical prediction has been obtained for the lattice relaxation of the core exciton state. The results of the core exciton state are compared with nitrogen-doped diamond. Next, the structural stability of rhombohedral graphite has been investigated to examine the possibility of the transition into the diamond structure through electronic excited states.     Phytoextraction with somaclonal variants of tobacco and sunflower mutant lines (non-GMs) with enhanced metal uptake and tolerance can be a sustainable alternative to conventional destructive decontamination methods, especially for stripping bioavailable zinc excess in topsoil. The overall results of a 5-year time series experiment at field scale in north-eastern Switzerland confirm that the labile Zn pool in soil can be lowered by 45-70%, whereas subplots without phytoextraction treatment maintained labile Zn concentrations. In 2011, the phytoextraction experiment site was enlarged by a factor of 3, and the labile 0.1 M NaNO3 extractable Zn concentration in the soil was reduced up to 58% one period after harvest. A Mass Balance Analysis confirmed soil Zn decontamination in line with plant Zn uptake. The plants partially take Zn from the non-labile pool of the totaL The sustainability of Zn phytoextraction in subplots that no longer exceed the Swiss trigger value is now assessed over time. In contrary to the phytoextraction of total soil Zn which needs a long cleaning up time, the bioavailable Zn stripping is feasible within a few years period.

    Full Text Available Foram avaliadas a composição, a dieta, as táticas alimentares e ocupação espacial da ictiofauna em um pequeno riacho dentro de um remanescente de Floresta com Araucária. Seis espécies de peixes foram coletadas, pertencentes a três ordens e quatro famílias, totalizando 110 exemplares. No ambiente de corredeira foram coletados e observados apenas Trichomycterus castroi Pinna, 1992 and Trichomycterus davisi Haseman, 1911, enquanto que no ambiente de remanso foram observados e capturados exemplares de Astyanax aff. scabripinnis (sensu Eigenmann, 1921, Astyanax totae Haluch & Abilhoa, 2005, Trichomycterus castroi Pinna, 1992, T. davisi, Phalloceros caudimaculatus (Hensel, 1868 e Jenynsia eigenmanni Haseman, 1911. Dezoito itens alimentares de origem autóctone, seis de alóctone e três de origem incerta foram identificados e tiveram sua freqüência de ocorrência calculada. Uma grande quantidade de itens exclusivos foi registrada, todavia os insetos constituíram a base alimentar mais importante, principalmente na forma de fragmentos e estágios imaturos (larvas e pupas, o que permitiu inferências a respeito de sobreposição alimentar. As espécies registradas no riacho foram classificadas em quatro guildas tróficas e quatro grupos funcionais. As espécies estudadas são capazes de utilizar diversos recursos alimentares e microambientes, o que é favorecido provavelmente pelo seu pequeno porte.     Full Text Available Kasutuspõhise keelekirjelduse väärtus grammatika jaoks seisneb võimaluses avada keelesüsteemi funktsionaalne potentsiaal, kirjeldades näiteks keelestruktuuride hierarhiat, võrreldes keelekasutusvariantide morfosüntaktilisi mustreid, keelesüsteemist ja keelekasutaja valikutest tulenevaid semantilisi ja grammatilisi kitsendusi, keelekasutuse leksikaalse ja grammatilise varieeruvuse piire. Nende esiletoomine vajab meetodeid, mis annaksid võimalikult usaldusväärseid tulemusi. Siinses uurimuses on kasutatud klasteranalüüsi. Võrreldud on eesti ilukirjandus- ja õppijakeele tekstide verbist vasakule jääva konteksti keelekasutust. Leitud on kõik kolmest üksusest koosnevad konstruktsioonid, rühmitatud need morfosüntaktilise samalaadsuse ja sageduse alusel ning kirjeldatud morfoloogiliste klastrite ja klasside hierarhiana. Klassid näitavad keelekasutuse üldiseid morfoloogilisi mustreid, klastrite alusel saab kirjeldada klasside morfoloogilise varieeruvuse piire. Konkreetsed konstruktsioonid toovad esile piiranguid klastrite leksikaalgrammatilisele varieeruvusele. Eesti ilukirjandustekstide ja keeleõppija loomingulist laadi esseede võrdlusest peaks selguma, kuidas kasutavad keelesüsteemi funktsionaalset potentsiaali emakeelekõneleja ja õppija. Analüüsi tulemused näitavad, et emakeelekõnelejad teevad optimaalseid valikuid, mis hõlmavad nii morfosüntaktilist lihtsust kui ka keerukust, nii sõnavara rikkust kui ka kinnistunud korduvkasutust. Selles osas on õppija keelekasutus nihkes, emakeelekõneleja keeletunnetuse põhjal kuidagi ebaharilik. Samas ei tähenda see, et tegu oleks vigadega. Ühelt poolt näitavad õppija kasutatud keelestruktuurid ilukirjanduskeelest avaramat varieeruvust. Teisalt tuleb selgelt esile stereotüüpsetele keelestruktuuridele tuginev lihtsustamine, morfoloogiliste klasside ja klastrite üle- ning alakasutus, sõnavara kesisus.

Em um caprino e um ovino foram realizados os testes que causa anemia hemolítica com hemoglobinúria em bo-de fragilidade osmótica, determinação de hemoglobina e vinos e, experimentalmente, anemia sem hemoglobinúria metemoglobina e pesquisa de corpúsculos de Heinz. Foi em cobaios. O objetivo deste trabalho foi determinar a comprovado que em caprinos e ovinos, I. suffruticosa cautoxicidade de I. suffruticosa para caprinos e ovinos. Par-sa anemia hemolítica sem hemoglobinúria com formação tes aéreas da planta foram administradas a seis caprinos de corpúsculos de Heinz. Os animais recuperaram-se da e quatro ovinos em doses diárias de 10, 20 e 40g por kg anemia, total ou parcialmente, mesmo com a continuidade de peso vivo, durante períodos de 2 a 24 dias. Foram ava-da administração da planta. Oito a 12 horas após a coleliados os parâmetros hematológicos (hematócrito, níveis ta observa-se pigmento azulado na urina. Sugere-se que o de hemoglobina e contagem de hemácias e foi coletada pigmento seja anilina ou algum metabolito dessa substânurina para urinálise e observação de variações na coloracia e que a anilina seja o princípio ativo responsável pela hemólise causada por I. suffruticosa.

  2. Experimental and numerical investigation of contact-area-limited doping for top-contact pentacene thin-film transistors with Schottky contact.

    Effects of contact-area-limited doping for pentacene thin-film transistors with a bottom-gate, top-contact configuration were investigated. The increase in the drain current and the effective field-effect mobility was achieved by preparing hole-doped layers underneath the gold contact electrodes by coevaporation of pentacene and 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (F4TCNQ), confirmed by using a thin-film organic transistor advanced simulator (TOTAS) incorporating Schottky contact with a thermionic field emission (TFE) model. Although the simulated electrical characteristics fit the experimental results well only in the linear regime of the transistor operation, the barrier height for hole injection and the gate-voltage-dependent hole mobility in the pentacene transistors were evaluated with the aid of the device simulation. This experimental data analysis with the simulation indicates that the highly-doped semiconducting layers prepared in the contact regions can enhance the charge carrier injection into the active semiconductor layer and concurrent trap filling in the transistor channel, caused by the mitigation of a Schottky energy barrier. This study suggests that both the contact-area-limited doping and the device simulation dealing with Schottky contact are indispensable in designing and developing high-performance organic thin-film transistors.

    Full Text Available Bunching onion (Allium fistulosum L. is a strategic crop for Colombia due to its economic relevance within fresh and processed food markets, and therefore, there is a demand for high yielding genotypes adapted to specific regions. For this reason, after carrying out a clonal selection process including 62 genotypes, ten of these, including a regional control, were evaluated for six different traits in Boyacá (Colombia during 2012 and 2013. These traits were grouped into agronomic, yield, and processing categories. In general, these showed significant differences (p≤0.01 for genotypes, location, and genotypes × location interaction. Compared with the regional control and based on the multienvironmental analysis the genotypes Clone 30 and Clone 38 were the most promising new cultivars identified in this study. These two clones showed comparative advantages on earliness and yield, and they moreover showed some level of resistance to downy mildew and root rot, the most limiting diseases for Boyacá’s bunch onion farmers. Therefore, Clone 30 and Clone 38 were registered as new bunching onion cultivars for the Cundiboyacense High Plateau region under the names Corpoica Aquitania-1 and Corpoica Tota-1, respectively. Finally, further approaches and initiatives on bunching onion breeding are discussed.

    Full Text Available Pesticides used in crop production are the most important source of diffuse pollution to groundwater, and their discharge into surface water may be a contributing factor towards the decline of living resources and the deterioration of ecosystems. In this work, we studied the movement of oxadixyl through soil columns (30 cm length and 14 cm diameter in laboratory conditions using onion soil from Lake Tota (Boyacá, Colombia. A solution of 0.01 M CaCl2, containing a tracer (bromide and oxadixyl was sprayed onto the surface of the soil column, and then simulated rainfall was applied at an intensity of 0.034 cm h-1. After 30 days, and 2.13 relative pore volumes, oxadixyl percentages recovered at the bottom of the column were 92.1%. The oxadixyl experimental elution curve was analyzed using the Stanmod program (inverse problem to obtain transport parameters. The non-equilibrium chemical model described the experimental elution curve well. The tail of the elution curve was particularly well captured. The retardation factor calculated for the fungicide was 3.94 and the partition coefficient, kd, was close to 1 kg L-1, indicating low adsorption in this soil. Under the experimental conditions, it could be concluded that oxadixyl is mobile in this soil, and therefore presents a risk of potential groundwater contamination.

  6. Leaching of oxadyxil and tebuconazole in Colombian soil.

    Lake Tota (Boyaca, Colombia) supplies water for human consumption, agriculture and industry for more than 500.000 people. Oxadixyl and Tebuconazole are fungicides used in onion crops in the lake catchment area. The mobility of pesticides in soil, bioavailability and transfer to other environmental compartments depend on sorption and desorption kinetics and mechanisms. An understanding of these processes is essential for transport modeling and the rational design of corrective measures against pollution. A displacement study was performed on a hand packed soil column in laboratory conditions. A pulse of 0,01 M CaCl2 solution, containing a tracer (Bromide) and the fungicides Oxadixyl y Tebuconazole, was injected. Column experiment was performed at 0.078 cmh(-1) flow rate under unsaturated conditions. Eluates were collected in flasks at constant intervals and the volumes of eluate were recorded. After rainfall simulation, the soil from the column was sliced into six successive sections (5 cm). Methanol extraction was used to determine the fungicide in each soil section. Samples were measured by HPLC. Only Oxadixyl was recovered in leachates. Unlike bromide breakthrough curve, Oxadixyl was asymmetrical, with early breakthrough and increased tailing. The percentage eluted was 96.7% after ten pore volumes. Tebuconazole showed the highest retention in the first five cm of soil layer. The results suggest that oxadyxil presents highs risk to leachate through the soil profile and that Tebuconazole is strongly absorbed in Colombian soil.

    Bone characteristics of the humeral shaft and distal radius were measured from 64 female tennis and squash players and their 27 age-, height-, and weight-matched controls with peripheral quantitative tomography (pQCT) and dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA). The players were divided into two groups according to the starting age of their tennis or squash training (either before or after menarche) to examine the possible differences in the loading-induced changes in bone structure and volumetric density. The following pQCT variables were used: bone mineral content, total cross-sectional area of bone (TotA), cross-sectional area of the marrow cavity (CavA) and that of the cortical bone (CoA), cortical wall thickness (CWT), volumetric density of the cortical bone (CoD) and trabecular bone (TrD), and torsional bone strength index for the shaft (BSIt) and compressional bone strength index for the bone end (BSIc). These bone strength indices were compared with the DXA-derived areal bone mineral density (aBMD) to assess how well the latter represents the effect of mechanical loading on apparent bone strength. At the humeral shaft, the loaded arm's greater bone mineral content (an average 19% side-to-side difference in young starters and 9% in old starters), was caused by an enlarged cortex (CoA; side-to-side differences 20% and 9%, respectively). The loaded humerus seemed to have grown periosteally (the CavA did not differ between the sites), leading to 26% and 11% side-to-side BSIt differences in the young and old starters, respectively. CoD was equal between the arms (-1% difference in both player groups). The side-to-side differences in the young starters' bone mineral content, CoA, TotA, CWT, and BSIt were 8-22% higher than those of the controls and 8-14% higher than those of the old starters.     Full Text Available Calvin did not start his famous vocation as an interpreter of Scripture with Scripture itself. After a thorough training in interpreting classical literature as a philologist, he made his debut before turning 23, with a highly respected commentary on Seneca’s “De Clementia”. His focus shifted to Scripture shortly thereafter. Certain features of his exegetical approach as part of his “Word of God theology” can thus be observed, especially as they relate to his use of the concept of “doctrina”. His exegesis used not only the principle of “sola Scriptura” as point of departure, but also the principle of “tota Scriptura”, i.e. to take the whole of Scripture into account when expositing a certain biblical text. For Calvin the original intention of the writer of a particular (Bible book is of crucial importance. The exegesis should be done using a sound theological-methodological, historical-grammatical method. Knowledge of the original lang- uages of Scripture is therefore a prerequisite for any exegesis. In his exegesis Calvin emphasises the point that Scripture as the Word of God and the Holy Spirit cannot be separated. As the truth is simple, Calvin avoids any traces of allegory in his exegetical activities and aims to keep his exegesis and ex- position of Scripture simple, brief, clear and understandable – exegesis should always exhibit the quality of clarity and brevity. In all exegesis, Scripture as the Word of God should be accepted as the final authority on any issue, not the church as institute.

De semàntica imprecisa, vol capturar un moment en l'esdevenir de la xarxa en què l'usuari se n'erigeix en element dinamitzador central en virtut d'un augment de la seua capacitat d'expressió, interacció i participació, afavorit per certes tecnologies de recent aparició. No obstant això, certes veus i autors es mostren crítics amb la deriva actual, a la qual acusen de portar aparellada tota una sèrie d'efectes que, lluny de considerar-se desitjables, qüestionarien la idoneïtat evolutiva de la mateixa internet. Expressions com aplanament cultural, culte a l'amateur o intel·ligència col·lectiva (entesa aquesta pejorativament s'amalgamen per a envoltar el terme web 2.0 d'una aurèola de ressonàncies distòpiques. En aquest article es vol relativitzar part dels arguments esgrimits que constituirien aquesta visió distòpica del web 2.0, en situar la reflexió sobre internet en un horitzó de discussió alternatiu que ens permeta comprendre el fenomen sense sucumbir al pessimisme que hi pareix subjaure, d'acord amb la visió de tals autors. Abstract This article describes methodological anomalies that appear frequently in secondary school when the concepts of morphology (or inflection, or grammatical accidents are treated.     Long offset processing has become the standard for TotaFinaElf in the Deep Offshore Nigeria. The advantage of having longer offsets are numerous; higher fold of coverage, improved S/N improved AVA analysis, less multiple contamination etc. A key element in successful long offset processing is the higher order velocity picking. In classical processing of seismic data with standard 2nd order terms for NMO correction, and outer mute at approximately 27 degrees, not to include non flattened events is required. By applying 3 terms 4th order anisotropic non hyperbolic corrections, angles out to 50-60 degrees may be flattened and can be very useful. Typically in modern 3D seismic data processing velocities are picked every 1km or 0.5km. a test was carried out to study the effect of the lateral velocity pick spacing required to properly flatten events at longer offsets. The evaluation of the test w3as carried out by loading all the CMP gathers along the line on a workstation as a 3D so that the flatness on pre-stack could be studied. The analysis showed that for 2nd order NMO 0.5km spacing is adequate to properly interpolate and flatten events at all CMP gathers along the line. However it was shown that for more advanced processing, such as the 4th order anisotropic three terms non hyperbolic velocity corrections, a more dense lateral velocity picking would be advantageous in terms of flattening of reflections.     Full Text Available The intention of this paper is to revisit two known inventories of the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Pedralbes, written in 1364 at the time of the death of both Queen Elisenda of Montcada and the abbess,Francesca Saportella. Drawing together these two texts with other documents and complementary studies of the history and architecture of the siteclearly reveals that the founding and initial design of the site were the result of a previously conceived overall plan, behind which the queen’s devotional life and work can be surmised. The religious community, represented by the abbess Francesca Saportella, participated in the project, as did other noblewomen who accompanied the queen and the abbess in their objective.[ca] Aquest treball pretén dur a terme una relectura de dos inventaris ja coneguts del Reial Monestir de Santa Maria de Pedralbes, redactats a la mort de la reina i de l’abadessa Francesca Saportella l’any 1364. Studia humaniora Estonica esimese aastakäigu kaksiknumber. Antiikmütoloogiast lähtudes sündis tarkusejumalanna Ateena oma isa, Zeusi peast. Kuid tal oli ema, kelle nimi oli Metis – meie ajakirja nimes on ta saanud ühe lisatähe. Kui lugejas kutsub ajakirja tekkeloo mütoloogiline taust esile kiusatust allegoriseerida, siis olgu see ärgitavas ja peibutavas mõttes vihje tarkuse käänulisele, imetabasele või tabamatule kujunemisteekonnale, viljakusele, mis võiks olla alternatiiv „tootlikkusele”. Lihtsamalt ja ehedamalt viitab nimeloole ka kaanekujundus, vihjates jõeäärsele paigale Põhja-Liivimaal, kust väljaanne pärineb. Edasi kõnelevad kohamuistendid ka vaimust, mis selles paigas rändab ning seal ulualuse, kui mitte eluaseme on leidnud. Müütidel on alati olnud variante ning varje.     Five organizations (SCK/CEN, KIT, KFKI, CEA, ANL) participated in the Sodium-cooled fast reactor (SFR) Benchmark calculations and all results were collected and compiled by CEA and ANL. The compiled results of the large size cores and medium size cores were presented by V. Pascal (CEA) and T. K. Kim (ANL), respectively. Separately, A. Kereszturi presented his recently updated results. It was observed that there is wide variation in core multiplication factor, kinetics parameters, and reactivity feedback coefficients. In particular, compared to the CEA results, ANL calculated smaller k-eff, Doppler constant, but higher sodium void worth and control rod worth. The core modeling issue (heterogeneous vs. homogeneous) and solution method (diffusion vs. transport) were identified as the potential reasons of these discrepancies, including the minor impacts from the depletion chains and lumped fission product modeling. All participants agreed that additional investigation was needed to identify the reasons of these discrepancies. In addition, V. Pascal presented the informative notes of the reactivity feedback calculations methodology proposed by CEA.     Full Text Available Totes les literatures del món occidental pateixen la síndrome del moviment. Quan hi ha un corrent que predomina, els autors en voga utilitzen tots els mitjans perquè el lector oblidi que hi ha altres manifestacions literàries que o bé són diferents, o bé havien estat interessants immediatament abans d’ells. Cauen en la vella rutina de voler matar els pares. Aquest fet és cada cop més evident en el món modern, on els mitjans de comunicació s’han convertit de vegades en els grans aliats de les aparicions agosarades, arriscades, trencadores dels nous autors. Això no vol pas dir, però, que els autors nous puguin aconseguir el seu objectiu. La pròpia literatura, o el conjunt de lectors, la societat o el que la nova teoria de torn afirmi s’encarrega de fer filtrar els autors que persisteixen en unes contingències determinades, les obres que representen fites en el moviment literari anterior. S’assisteix, aleshores, a una activitat de balanceig en què trobar l’equilibri equival a tenir la capacitat per poder destriar quins seran els objectius de la nova fornada d’autors, sense oblidar els vells creadors que malden per mantenir les seves tendències. És un balanceig de vegades dramàtic en què es veu involucrada tota la màquina que la societat contemporània ha format al voltant de la literatura, que ens guardarem prou de titllar com a necessària o innecessària per al seu creixement. Cauen alguns autors, plens d’ira per la impotència de la seva veu que ja no se sent als mitjans de comunicació, i pugen com l’escuma els creadors novells, omplint tots els espais de què són capaços, amb una golafreria abusiva per aconseguir els estratagemes del poder.

    José Eustasio Rivera nació en Neiva el 19 de febrero de 1888. Cursó la primaria en el Colegio de Santa Librada en su ciudad natal y el bachillerato en la Escuela Normal de Bogotá.
    Posteriormente estudió derecho en la Universidad Nacional y se graduó de abogado en 1917. En 1921 publicó "Tierra de Promisión", su admirable libro de sonetos y al año siguiente fue designado Secretario
    de la Comisión de Limites con Venezuela; en 1924 publicó La Vorágine y en 1928 fue nombrado delegado de la Conferencia Internacional de Emigración de la Habana. Se trasladó enseguida a Nueva York en donde transcurrieron los últimos meses de su vida, habiendo fallecido el 1 de diciembre de 1928, a las 12:50, a los 40 años y 9 meses de su edad.

    Rivera, por su profesión de abogado, atendía cuantiosos pleitos en los Llanos de Casanare, por lo cual permanecía largas temporadas en Sogamaso, puerta de entrada a Los Llanos, alojándose en la pensión de doña Adriana Camargo de Albarracín o en la quinta de su amigo Lisandro Durán que quedaba en las estribaciones que cierran el valle hacia el noroeste. Con el señor Durán compartían fraternalmente la afición por la cinegética, a la que ambos rendían culto en los cerros que rodean la laguna de Tota.
    Es sabido que Rivera padeció en varias ocasiones crisis de delirio agudo febril con convulsiones en una de las cuales falleció en Nueva York. Otra le había sobrevenido en 1918 en Orocué; luego se le repitió en Sogamaso en 1920 en que fue atendido por el Dr. Julio Sandoval, distinguido médico de la localidad. La crisis se repitió con características de gravedad en Purificación, Tolima, en marzo de 1921...

Šiam tikslui taikomas vadinamosios rekalibruotos glotochronologijos metodas, išplėtotas Sergejaus Starostino.Tyrimas įgalino gauti tokių rezultatų:Protoslavų dialektas išsikristalizavo 13 a. pr. Kr. protobaltų dialektinio kontinuumo pietiniame pakraštyje. Jį galima lokalizuoti plote nuo Silezijos iki centrinės Ukrainos ir tapatinti su vadinamąja Trzinieco-Komarovo kultūra.Tarp 9 ir 7 a. pr. Kr. protoprūsų kalba atsiskyrė nuo centrinio baltų dialekto, kuriam šiandien atstovauja lietuvių ir latvių kalbos. Tai koreliuoja su lavonų deginimo papročio atsiradimu Baltijos jūros pietiniame krante, rytų Pabaltijyje liekant mirusiųjų laidojimui žemėje.Pirmasis slavų dialektinio kontinuumo skilimas, datuojamas 6 a. pirmuoju trečdaliu ir sietinas su rytų slavais, turbūt atstovaujančiais seniesiems Antams ir bulgarams-makedonams. Šį atsiskyrimą galėjo sąlygoti avarai, nuo 658 m. gyvenę žemutinio Dono areale, arba kuri nors rytų germanų gentis – gotai, gepidai ar abi.Beveik tuo pačiu metu, apie 600 m., latvių protėviai atsiskyrė nuo lietuvių protėvių. Dėl vadinamųjų „Pogańske gwary z Narewu“ laikomasi W. P. Schmido (1986 išvados, kad žinomas žodynėlio fragmentas yra lietuvių, latvių ir šiaurės rytų jidiš kalbų mišinys. Taigi baltų dialektologijos požiūriu minimojo paminklo siejimą su jotvingiais reikia atmesti.Apie 720–740 m. suskilo  pietvakarių slavai. Vakarų slavai atsiskyrė 10 amžiuje, pietų slavai – apie 960 m., o rytų slavai tik 12 amžiuje. Ypatinga yra polabų kalbos padėtis: atrodo, kad ji atskilo nuo pietvakarių slavų kontinuumo dar prieš jo skaidymąsi, jei ne anksčiau.

    Full Text Available Segons l’article 8 del Conveni europeu dels Drets Huamans (CEDH, integrat en el dret britànic i francès, “tota persona té dret al respecte de la seva vida  [...] familiar”. Immigració i reagrupació familiar eren un lògic i lícit seguiment de la immigració laboral alentida per França i el Regne Unit després de la Segona Guerra Mundial com un mitjà per proporcionar una mà d’obra per les seves fàbriques. Més recentment, una tercera categoria de migrats ha sorgit, sovint anomenats immigrants il·legals, que són atrets per el sistema polític francès o britànic de beneficis socials. Amb el temps, ha sorgit una confusió, entre la migració autoritzada i no autoritzada. Si l’article 8 permet als Estats membres fixar alguns límits al dret de reunificació familiar amb el fi de tenir en compte un interès nacional predominant, ha de seguir sent un dret. Els sol·licitants de reunificació familiar no han de ser assimilats als immigrants il·legals o inclòs criminals, a menys que ho siguin. Recentment, els Estats membres d’Europa estan cada vegada més preocupats per possibles fraus i abusos del dret a la reagrupació familiar. Qualsevol desestimació d’una sol·licitud de reagrupació familiar pot ser discutida als tribunals. En el context específic de la cultura social, política i legal de França i del Regne Unit (i en relació amb el Regne Unit, centrant-se sobre tot en Anglaterra i Gal·les, que tenen el seu propi sistema legal, aquest estudi té com objectiu determinar com els tribunals inferiors nacionals operen respecte dels litigis de reunificació familiar. En concret veurem si els jutges nacionals parteixen de tractar de restaurar l’esperit original de l’article 8 i del dret que protegeix el poder reunir-se amb la seva pròpia família.

Aquesta mutació pública arrossega, al seu torn, el trastocament dels possibles o impossibles llocs on resguardar-se’n, l’àmbit privat i, dins, la intimitat. Joan Maragall desplega una gran varietat de reflexions a l’entorn d’aquest trasbals, al llarg de tota la seva presència pública –i de la que no ho és tant. No només el pensa, sinó que l’experimenta d’una manera molt viva des d’una peculiar singularitat. The PBDE 1eve1s of fish in Hubei were 1ower than those in other regions in China. On the principa1 compo-nent ana1ysis, BDE-183,BDE-153 and BDE-47 were the main homo1ogues, and accounted for 47.56%, 20.18% and 11.73%of tota1 PBDEs respective1y. The main sources of po11ution were the re1ease of PBDEs from the production process of furniture and auto parts. Dai1y dietary intakes of PBDEs for the Hubei residents were estimated by mu1tip1ying the measured concentra-tions of PBDEs in food with the dai1y consumption data of the residents. In the Iower concentration groups of Cu2+(0. 086 mg.L-1 and 0. 172 mg.L-1) and the higher concentration groups of chIorpyrifos (0. 006 0 μg.L -1 and 0. 012 0 μg.L-1), the totaI SOD activity showed inhibitory effect; the trend of the higher concentration group of Cu2+ ( 0. 344 mg.L-1 and 0. 688 mg.L-1 ) showed ″inhibition_promotion_inhibition″, however, the Iower concentration groups of chIorpyrifos (0. 001 5 μg.L-1 and 0. 003 0 μg.L-1 ) showed the″inhibition_promotion″ changes in trends;MDA contents changed simiIarIy, and within a certain range of concentrations, MDA contents presented a graduaIIy rising trend with increasing Cu2+ and chIorpyrifos concentration, which indicated that Cu2+ and chIorpyrifos acceIerated Iipid peroXidation in muscIe tissues of N. denticulate. In addition, AChE activity in Cu2+ and chIorpyrifos soIutions showed inhibitory effect, and in the soIutions with higher concentration of Cu2+ and chIorpyrifos, the activity was graduaIIy decreased with the increase of concentration, indicating that Cu2+ and chIorpyrifoscs impacted the normaI physioIogicaI functions of N. denticulate, and the higher the concentration, the greater the damage effect. Based on the anaIysis resuIts, we confirmed that the totaI SOD, MDA and AChE pIayed significant roIes as physioIogicaI indicators in evaIuating toXic effect of heavy metaIs and organic_phosphorus pesticide on N. denticulate.

    Full Text Available 1. No presente trabalho são descriptos dois casos de xanthelasmatose (xanthoma com perturbações accentuadas do metabolismo dos lipides e esteroes. 2. Um dos casos apresentou notavel cholesteroluria não mostrando o doente lesões renaes, ao passo que o outro caso sendo portador de pyelonephrite não eliminava cholesterol. 3. Foram feitas dosagens de cholesterol, acidos graxos totaes e lecithina, no sangue, urina e tumores, obtendo-se valores muito elevados. As demais provas (histo-chimicas, polarização microscopica confirmaram a presença de abundante infiltração de lipides e cholesterol nos tecidos. 4. A prova de carga de Bürger feita no caso I demonstrou diminuição da tolerancia para o cholesterol. 5. A therapeutica insulinica fez baixar o cholesterol e a glycose do sangue sem, comtudo, offerecer melhora clinica do paciente. No caso II houve baixa da cholesterolemia e da glycemia com desapparecimento dos tumores, evidenciando a diversidade das formas clinicas destes casos. 6. A intradermo-reacção feita com o cholesterol no caso I produziu reacção positiva, suggerindo um estado de hypensensibilidade para as substancias de infiltração no xanthelasma (xanthoma. 7.     greater than all other site categories. Phosphorus was significantly greater than for reservoir sites or headwater streams. Few concentrations of trace metals were greater than the minimum reporting limit, and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency drinking-water standards were rarely exceeded. Detections, when they occurred, were most frequent for sites below urban areas and wastewater-treatment plant effluents. A small number of samples for analysis of acetanilide, triazine, carbamate, and chlorophenoxy acid pesticides indicate that some of these compounds are generally present in area waters in small concentrations. Organochlorine and organophosphorus pesticides are ubiquitous in the study area in very small concentrations. Trihalomethanes were detected at sites below urban areas and wastewater-treatment plants. Otherwise, volatile organic compounds and semivolatile compounds were generally not detected. Suspended-sediment, nitrogen, phosphorus, lead, and zinc loads into Falls Lake, Jordan Lake, University Lake, Cane Creek Reservoir, Little River Reservoir, and Lake Michie were calculated. In general, reservoirs act as traps for suspended sediment and constituents associated with suspended sediments. During 1989-94, annual suspended-sediment load to Falls Lake ranged from 29,500 to 88,200 tons. Because Lake Michie trapped from 83 to 93 percent of the suspended sediment delivered by Flat River, Flat River is a minor contributor of suspended sediment to Falls Lake. Yields of suspended sediment from Little River, Little Lick Creek, and Flat River Basins were between 184 and 223 tons per square mile and appear to have increased increased slightly from yields reported in a study for the period 1970-79. Annual suspended-sediment load to Jordan Lake ranged from 271,000 to 622,000 tons from 1989 through 1994 water years. The Haw River contributed more than 75 percent of the tota load to Jordan Lake. La que suponemos especie materna, a la cual el híbrido se acerca morfológicamente y puede que fisiológicamente, es una mala hierba rastrera bien conocida de las praderas alpinas en toda Europa. [ct] L’alteració antròpica de l’hàbitat dóna pas a la cohabitació d’espècies importades que mai coexistirien en el seu àmbit natural. Centaurea solstitialis i Centaurea moncktonii són dues espècies invasores les distribucions de les quals a Euràsia gairebé no se solapen. Després de la seva introducció a Amèrica del Nord, l’expansió invasiva va portar a distribucions superposades. Malgrat que els requeriments ambientals de les dues espècies són diferents, la proximitat d’hàbitats diversos (dins de l’abast dels pol·linitzadors ha donat lloc a diversos casos d’hibridació natural entre ambdues. L’ encreuament resultant entre dues espècies, llunyanament emparentades, és una planta perenne estèril. Molts dels caràcters de l’híbrid són intermitjos entre les seves espècies parentals, però morfològicament és més semblant a Centaurea moncktonii (probablement l’espècie materna, i al seu torn també d’origen híbrid. La nova espècie podria convertir-se en una mala herba invasora gràcies a la seva reproducció vegetativa. La que suposem espècie materna, a la qual l’híbrid s’acosta morfològicament i potser fisiològicament, és una mala herba prostrada ben coneguda de les pastures alpines a tota Europa.

    Full Text Available ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis nilai ekonomi total yang menunjukkan besar aset sumberdaya Kambing Peranakan Etawah (PE sistem kandang kelompok di Desa Girikerto Turi Sleman. Pengambilan sampel secara sensus pada tiga kelompok ternak yaitu "Mandiri" di Dusun Nganggring, "Pangestu" di Dusun Kemirikebo, dan "Sukorejo l" di Dusun Sukorejo sebanyak 116 sampel. Untuk menghitung nilai ekonomi total dengan mengidentifikasi manfaat sosial yaitu nilai guna langsung, nilai guna tidak langsung, maupun nilai pilihan. Selain itu juga mempertimbangkan biaya sosial meliputi biaya langsung atau operasional, biaya eksternal, dan biaya relokasi. Nilai manfaat dan biaya yang dapat dipasarkan (marketahle menggunakan harga pasar, sedangkan yang tidak dipasarkan (no marketable yaitu nilai pilihan (kemauan membayar atau willingness to Pay dari masyarakat dan peternak Kambing PE, sistem kandang kelompok serta biaya relokasi (kemauan menerima tawaran alau Willingness to Accept peternak kambing sistem individu menggunakan Contingent Valuation method (CIVM. Untuk mengetahui terjadinya perubahan di luar kondisi normal dengan menggunakan analisis sensitivitas meliputi perbaikan manajemen pemeliharaan, perubahan harga output clan input, serta perubahan lingkungan. Nilai ekonomi totaI pada kondisi normal untuk periode 5 tahun mendatang dengan asumsi tidak ada perkembangan populasi tiap tahunnya dalam satuan Unit Ternak (UT sebesar 3.416.464.641 rupiah pertahun. Most of the monocotyledqns species present in the experimental area consisted of Cyperus rotundus L., Brachiaria plantaginea (Link Hitch and Cynodon dactylon (L. Pers. Reduction observed was only for Brachiaria plantaginea as metribuzin doses increased, the sa me occuring with dycot iledons species existent in the area except for Oxalis oxypt era Prop. wich was not controlled by the doses using. The avera ge of the tota l weed density minus Cyper us rotundus, Oxalis oxyptera and Cynodon da+-ylon was 141, 124, 62 and 59 plants.m² for 0,0; 0,35; 0,70 and 1,05 kg a.i.ha-1 metribuzin, respectively. The lowest dose of metri buzin (0,35 kg a.i.ha-1 was as sufficient to promote reduction on weed shoot biomass at the highest did (1,05 kg a.i.ha-1. However, the mean of the total weed density was drastically recuded in the doses of 0,70 and 1,05 kg a.i.ha-1. The metribuzin caused damage to soybean plants at highest dose (1,05 kg a.i.ha-1 employed with a slight leaf injury '(chlorosis until 25 days after emergence. After this period it was observed a total recovery of the plants treat ed with this dose. The yield and the harvest index were not affected by doses of metribuzin.

Most of the respondents surveyed also indicated that there should be more information about health care services and their prices, institution’s medical equipment and devices as well as their methods of treatment. The best practice for the e-Health website is classifying it into four groups: information on the health care institution, information relating to the services provided, information on the medical staff working in the office, other information. 48 % of the respondents were not familiar with the online registration possibility, and 74 % of survey participants would like to use the feature. Only 13 % of the respondents knew that they could fill prescription online and only 10 % were aware of the electronic medical record. All of this leads to the conclusion that Lithuanian consumers lack information about the e-health.

Roger Griffini teooria järgi iseloomustab paremäärmuslaste võrgusuhtluse väikeste mitteparteiliste üksuste – grupuskulite (nt veebilehed, blogid paljusus ja suhteline marginaalsus, rahulolematus praeguse maailmakorraga, ideede revolutsioonilisus ning risoomne ehk mitte-hierarhiline kommunikatsioonistruktuur. Täiendame Griffini teooriat kultuurisemiootika ideedega. Semiosfääri kontseptsioon võimaldab paremini analüüsida grupuskulite kommunikatsiooni eripära ja seal tekkivaid tähendushierarhiaid. Koodteksti mõiste selgitab aga, miks, vaatamata hüpermeedias kättesaadavale arvamuste paljususele, domineerivad grupuskulaarses kommunikatsioonis väga kindlad tähendusloome viisid.    S U M M A R Y The purpose of this article is to create a conceptual framework which would aid in the understanding of the characteristic ways the Estonian extreme right has created the prevalent identities and meanings that are currently in circulation in the media. The analysis is based on non-participant observation, by means of which we have attempted to isolate the main foci and dominant practices of self-description found in web communications among members of the Estonian extreme right. Based on the number of visitors to sites, the concentration of topics posted and frequency of citation, we take the following as representatives of extreme right positions: the blogs „The Nationalist“ („Rahvuslane“, „NS“, and „Nationalist“ („Rahvuslik“, and the alternative web pages „Be Aware“ („Ole Teadlik“ and „BHR Ruzzland“. Markers of the extreme right were present in the pages we examined at different levels of intensity; in fact, not every post to these pages clearly, not every page could be labelled as extreme right. Cylindros hyalinos e granulosos, bem como leucocytos e cellulas renaes, associadas á albuminoria, era presentes. Os exames chimicos do sangue, revelaram: Proteinas totaes 7,61 grs. em 1000 cc.; Albumina 2,39 grs em 1000 cc.; Globulina 5,22 grs. em 1000 cc.; Uréa 6,42 grs. em 1000 cc.; Fibrinogeneo 0,324 grs. em 1000 cc.; Indican +++; Cl. plasmatico 339 mgrs. em 100 cc.; Cl. globular 170 mgrs. em 100 cc.; Cholesterol 163 mgrs. em 100 cc.; Creatinia 260 mgrs. em 100 cc.; Ph. inorganico 13,4 mgrs. em 100 cc.; Calcio 10,3 mgrs em 100 cc.; Potassio 28 mgrs. em 100 cc.; Sodio 328 mgrs. em 100 cc.. O exame hematologico revelou 11% de hemoglobina; 960.000 hematias por mm.³; e 5.200 leucocytos por mm.³. A formula leucocytaria revelou augmento dos neutrophilos, com 74% dos segmentados. A proporção entre sôro o coagulo foi 9 x 3 cc. A reacção de Wassermann no sôro sanguineo foi negativa. A insufficiencia renal se traduziu no caso em estudo, por modificações humoraes, particularmente pela azotemia elevada, pelo augmento da creatinina, do phosphoro inorganico e do indican.
