    Full Text Available La representación Hamiltoniana generalizada de sistemas brinda una estructura que puede ser utilizada con ventaja en muchas áreas, entre las cuales se puede mencionar el diseño de observadores y el diagnóstico de fallas basado en modelos. Muchos de los trabajos en estos te mas tienen como punto de partida al sistema en forma Hamiltoniana generalizada y, en general, se omite la explicación de cómo llegar a esta representación, por ejemplo, a partir de un modelo no lineal basado en las ecuaciones de Euler - Lagrange. En este tra bajo se presenta un análisis detallado de cómo es que se obtiene la representación Hamiltoniana generalizada de un sistema a partir de las n ecuaciones diferenciales de segundo orden obtenidas con el formalismo Euler - Lagrange. Con la finalidad de mostrar e n lo particular, después del caso general, cómo se obtiene la representación Hamiltoniana generalizada, se presentan algunos casos de estudio.

    Summary: The ethanolic extracts of barks and leaves of Tectona hamiltoniana (Verbenaceae) were tested for anti-cancer activity against MCF-7 (Human breast cancer) and NCI-H460 (Lung cancer) cell lines employing sulpho rhodamine B (SRB) bioassay. These extracts demonstrated cytotoxicity with GI/sub 50/ values ranging between 24-33 macro g/mL against both cell lines. Upon further fractionation, dichloromethane fraction appeared to be most active against the MCF-7 cell line (GI/sub 50/ value of 3.4+-0.9 macro g/mL) leading to the isolation of lupane type triterpenoids, betulinic acid (1), betulin aldehyde ( 2 ) and betulin (3). Compound 2 and 3, both showed significant cytotoxic effect against both cancerous cell lines (GI/sub 50/ value range 6-11 macro M). (author)

  3. Estudio dinámico de un potencial perturbador dependiente de dos parámetros

    El objeto del presente trabajo consiste en el estudio dinámico de un sistema dinámico caracterizado por la función hamiltoniana correspondiente a un satélite planetario perturbado por la acción del Sol y del achatamiento del planeta madre. Cuando dicha Hamiltoniana se promedia respecto de los términos de corto período, esta queda con dos grados de libertad, y su estudio puede ser realizado con las herramientas clásicas de la dinámica no-lineal. Se tratará de determinar regiones regulares y caóticas de movimiento. En el caso de estas últimas, es de particular interés la determinación de su orígen.

    In this report a detailed analysis is performed of IBM (interacting boson model) version 2, which explicitly introduces the isotopin degree of freedom. The different forms of the IBM-2 Hamiltonian usually considered in the literature, are discussed and explicit relations existing between them are deduced. Moreover, the semiclassical limit of the most general IBM-2 Hamiltonian is studied in details. Because of partial dynamic symmetries, the expectation of chaotic dynamic behaviour near to regular dynamics is shown. [Italian] In questo rapporto viene condotta un'analisi dettagliata del modello IBM nella versione 2 (IBM-2), il quale introduce esplicitamente il grado di liberta' di isopin. In particolare sono discusse le diverse forme dell'hamiltoniana IBM-2 solitamente considerate in letteratura, ricavandone in maniera esplicita le relazioni fra esse esistenti. Viene poi studiato il limite semiclassico dell'hamiltoniana IBM-2 piu' in generale. Si dimostra come, nel modello IBM, siano previsti comportamenti dinamici caotici a fianco di dinamiche regolari ed in particolare come queste persistano molto piu' di quanto ci si attenderebbe a priori per l'esistenza di simmetrie dinamiche parziali.

  7. Next-to-leading order QCD predictions for the hadronic WH+jet production

    We calculate the next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD corrections to the WH 0 production in association with a jet at hadron colliders. We study the impacts of the complete NLO QCD radiative corrections to the integrated cross sections, the scale dependence of the cross sections, and the differential cross sections ((dσ/dcosθ), (dσ/dp T )) of the final W-, Higgs boson and jet. We find that the corrections significantly modify the physical observables, and reduce the scale uncertainty of the leading-order cross section. Our results show that by applying the inclusive scheme with p T,j cut =20 GeV and taking m H =120 GeV, μ=μ 0 ≡(1/2)(m W +m H ), the K-factor is 1.15 for the process pp→W ± H 0 j+X at the Tevatron, while the K-factors for the processes pp→W - H 0 j+X and pp→W + H 0 j+X at the LHC are 1.12 and 1.08, respectively. We conclude that to understand the hadronic associated WH 0 production, it is necessary to study the NLO QCD corrections to the WH 0 j production process which is part of the inclusive WH 0 production.

    Full Text Available Mutaqien Z, Zuhri M (2011 Establishing a long-term permanent plot in remnant forest of Cibodas Botanic Garden, West Java. Biodiversitas 12: 218-224. Cibodas Botanic Garden (CBG has unique characters; almost 10% of which is forested area adjacent to the natural forest of Mt. Gede Pangrango National Park. The area is a transition between natural forest and artificial habitat which mostly consists of exotic plant species. The permanent plot in CBG was established in 2007-2009. Two hundred and eighty four units of 10x10 square meters sub-plot were established in four locations, i.e. Wornojiwo, Kompos, Jalan Akar, and Lumut forest. Vegetation analyses were conducted for trees, saplings, shrubs, and herb species. The inventory found 137 species plants consisting of 74 tree species dominated by Villebrunea rubescens (Bl. Bl. and Ostodes paniculata Bl., 30 shrub species dominated by Strobilanthes hamiltoniana (Steud., 24 herb species dominated by Cyrtandra picta Bl., 6 fern species mainly consisted of Diplazium pallidum Moore, and 3 climber species dominated by Calamus reinwardtii Mart. In comparison with the natural forest of Mt. Gede Pangrango National Park, the CBG permanent plot showed a good representative of the vegetation of lower montane forest. A regular monitoring during the successive years is needed to maintain diversity, monitor forest dynamics and anticipate the spread of invasive plant from CBG.

  10. Transferências orbitais dentro do modelo quase bicircular no sistema Terra-Lua-Sol

    O problema quase bicircular planar consiste na determinação da dinâmica de um corpo, de massa desprezível, que se move sob o campo gravitacional de três corpos. No caso estudado, o quarto corpo é considerado um satélite artificial e os demais são a Terra, a Lua e o Sol, formando o sistema de três corpos. Este modelo permite a construção de uma hamiltoniana similar a do problema restrito de três corpos (PRTC), incluindo termos periódicos não autônomos, provenientes da presença do Sol, portanto pode ser entendido como uma perturbação ao PRTC. Suas órbitas periódicas aparecem isoladas e possuem o mesmo período solar. Os pontos de equilíbrio colineares possuem o mesmo caráter de estabilidade linear dos pontos lagrangianos (L1, L2 e L3) do PRTC, sendo do tipo sela x centro x centro, instável na direção x e estáveis nas direções y e z. As órbitas periódicas tridimensionais ao redor do ponto colinear é chamada órbita Halo. O objetivo deste trabalho é determinar órbitas de transferências de baixo consumo de combustível para um veículo espacial partindo de uma órbita de estacionamento ao redor da Terra em direção a uma órbita Halo do ponto L1, situado entre a Terra e Lua. Esta tarefa pode ser transformada no problema de valor de contorno: dado um ponto inicial na órbita de estacionamento, um ponto final na órbita halo e o tempo de transferência, deseja-se obter a trajetória que liga estes dois pontos e que minimize os incrementos de velocidade do veículo. Essas transferências são realizadas baseadas no método de Lambert e analisadas de modo a fornecer um baixo consumo. Posteriormente, é feita uma comparação de consumo com as órbitas de transferência equivalentes do PRTC.

    A well-established phenomenon in general relativity is the dragging of inertial frames by a spinning object. In particular, due to the dragging of inertial frames by a ring orbiting a central black hole, the angular velocity Ω H BH-ring of the black-hole horizon in the composed black-hole-ring system is no longer related to the black-hole angular momentum J H by the simple Kerr-like (vacuum) relation Ω H Kerr (J H ) = J H /2M 2 R H (here M and R H are the mass and horizon-radius of the black hole, respectively). Will has performed a perturbative treatment of the composed black-hole-ring system in the regime of slowly rotating black holes and found the explicit relation Ω H BH-ring (J H = 0, J R , R) = 2J R /R 3 for the angular velocity of a central black hole with zero angular momentum, where J R and R are respectively the angular momentum of the orbiting ring and its proper circumferential radius. Analyzing a sequence of black-hole-ring configurations with adiabatically varying (decreasing) circumferential radii, we show that the expression found by Will for Ω H BH-ring (J H = 0, J R , R) implies a smooth transition of the central black-hole angular velocity from its asymptotic near-horizon value Ω H BH-ring (J H = 0, J R , R → R H + ) → 2J R /R H 3 (that is, just before the assimilation of the ring by the central black hole), to its final Kerr (vacuum) value Ω H Kerr (J H new )= J H new /2M new2 R H new [that is, after the adiabatic assimilation of the ring by the central black hole. Here J H new = J R , M new , and R H new are the new parameters of the resulting Kerr (vacuum) black hole after it assimilated the orbiting ring]. We use this important observation in order to generalize the result of Will to the regime of black-hole-ring configurations in which the central black holes possess non-zero angular momenta.   14. Spectral analysis of multi-dimensional self-similar Markov processes

    In this paper we consider a discrete scale invariant (DSI) process {X(t), t in R + } with scale l > 1. We consider a fixed number of observations in every scale, say T, and acquire our samples at discrete points α k , k in W, where α is obtained by the equality l = α T and W = {0, 1, ...}. We thus provide a discrete time scale invariant (DT-SI) process X(.) with the parameter space {α k , k in W}. We find the spectral representation of the covariance function of such a DT-SI process. By providing the harmonic-like representation of multi-dimensional self-similar processes, spectral density functions of them are presented. We assume that the process {X(t), t in R + } is also Markov in the wide sense and provide a discrete time scale invariant Markov (DT-SIM) process with the above scheme of sampling. We present an example of the DT-SIM process, simple Brownian motion, by the above sampling scheme and verify our results. Finally, we find the spectral density matrix of such a DT-SIM process and show that its associated T-dimensional self-similar Markov process is fully specified by {R H j (1), R j H (0), j = 0, 1, ..., T - 1}, where R H j (τ) is the covariance function of jth and (j + τ)th observations of the process.

  15. Anomalous magnetic aftereffect in Nd3(Fe,T)29 (T = Ti or Re) intermetallic compounds

    Full text: The intermetallic compounds Nd 3 (Fe,Ti) 29 and Nd 3 (Fe,Re) 29 order ferromagnetically with Curie Temperatures, T c , of 430 and 370 K respectively. They have a monoclinic crystal structure, space group A2/m (Nd 3 (Fe,Ti) 29 type) with two rare earth sites and eleven Fe(T) sites, which is an intermediate structure between the rhombohedral Th 2 Zn 17 and tetragonal ThMn 12 structures, and is closely related to hexagonal CaCu 5 . Ferromagnetic materials, depending on their magnetic prehistory, may exhibit a time dependent magnetisation. The term 'magnetic aftereffect' is used to describe this behaviour, which may fall into three categories: 1. Reversible or diffusion aftereffect which is associated with the diffusion of impurity atoms or holes within the ferromagnetic lattice. 2. The irreversible or fluctuation aftereffect, which results in a logarithmic time dependence of magnetisation, J(t)=J(0)+Sln(t+t 0 ), where S is the magnetic viscosity and t 0 a parameter to establish the origin of the time scale measurements. 3. Quantum tunnelling of magnetisation which is observed at very low temperatures. A range of magnetic aftereffects have been observed in both Nd 3 (Fe,Ti) 29 and Nd 3 (Fe,Re) 29 . Of particular interest is the case where the material is fully saturated by application of a field in the positive direction, the applied field is then reversed to trace out part of the major demagnetisation curve into the third quadrant, and thence along a recoil curve, such that in zero applied field the magnetisation is zero (H=0, J=0). (This corresponds to dc field magnetisation.) This magnetic prehistory results in two interesting effects; spontaneous remagnetisation e.g. remagnetisation without application of an external field, and thermal remagnetisation e.g. an increase in magnetisation as the temperature is increased. Additionally, the behaviour of the magnetic viscosity has been explored on the major demagnetisation curve as a function of temperature
