  1. Resonant Amplification of Turbulence by the Blast Wawes

    We discuss an idea whether spherical blast waves can amplify by a non-local resonant hydrodynamic mechanism inhomogeneities formed by turbulence or phase segregation in the interstellar medium. We consider the problem of a blast-wave-turbulence interaction in the Linear Interaction Approximation. Mathematically, this is an eigenvalue problem for finding the structure and amplitude of eigenfunctions describing the response of the shock-wave flow to forced oscillations by external perturbations in the ambient interstellar medium. Linear analysis shows that the blast wave can amplify density and vorticity perturbations for a wide range of length scales with amplification coefficients of up to 20, with amplification the greater, the larger the length. There also exist resonant harmonics for which the gain becomes formally infinite in the linear approximation.   6. Fabrication and characterization of WO3/Ag/WO3 multilayer transparent anode with solution-processed WO3 for polymer light-emitting diodes.

    The dielectric/metal/dielectric multilayer is suitable for a transparent electrode because of its high-optical and high-electrical properties; however, it is fabricated by an expensive and inefficient multistep vacuum process. We present a WO3/Ag/WO3 (WAW) multilayer transparent anode with solution-processed WO3 for polymer light-emitting diodes (PLEDs). This WAW multilayer not only has high transmittance and low resistance but also can be easily and rapidly fabricated. We devised a novel method to deposit a thin WO3 layer by a solution process in an air environment. A tungstic acid solution was prepared from an aqueous solution of Na2WO4 and then converted to WO3 nanoparticles (NPs) by a thermal treatment. Thin WO3 NP layers form WAW multilayer with a thermal-evaporated Ag layer, and they improve the transmittance of the WAW multilayer because of its high transmittance and refractive index. Moreover, the surface of the WO3 layer is homogeneous and flat with low roughness because of the WO3 NP generation from the tungstic acid solution without aggregation. We performed optical simulation and experiments, and the optimized WAW multilayer had a high transmittance of 85% with a sheet resistance of 4 Ω/sq. Finally, PLEDs based on the WAW multilayer anode achieved a maximum luminance of 35,550 cd/m2 at 8 V, and this result implies that the solution-processed WAW multilayer is appropriate for use as a transparent anode in PLEDs.

    African-American women (AAW) suffer disproportionately from higher rates of cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality compared with white American women (WAW), despite favorable lipid and lipoprotein profile. Therefore, we used nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) to examine lipoprotein particle concentrations and sizes in overweight/obese AAW and WAW with pre-diabetes. We studied 69 AAW and 41 WAW, with mean age 46.5±11.3 years and body mass index (BMI) 37.8±6.4 kg/m(2). All participants completed standard oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) and frequently sampled intravenous glucose tolerance test (FSIVGTT). Insulin sensitivity (Si) was calculated using MINIMOD method. Body composition was assessed using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA). Fasting blood was obtained for traditional lipids/lipoproteins and NMR-derived lipoprotein particle sizes and concentrations. We found that AAW with pre-diabetes were more obese (BMI 38.8±6.7 vs 36.0±5.4 kg/m(2), p=0.02) than WAW. Mean Si was not significantly different. However, the mean serum triglycerides were lower, whereas the high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and apolipoprotein A1 (Apo A1) were significantly higher in AAW versus WAW. The large HDL particle concentration (6.1±3.1 vs 4.6±3.1 µmol/L, p=0.02) was significantly higher in AAW versus WAW. Mean total very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) particle concentration was lower in AAW versus WAW (39.9±24.4 vs 59.2±25.6 nmol/L, p≤0.001). While mean total LDL particle concentrations were not different, mean small LDL particle concentrations were lower in AAW versus WAW (538.8±294.1 vs 638.4±266 nmol/L, p=0.07). We found a more favorable NMR-derived lipoprotein profile in AAW that extends the traditional antiatherogenic lipid/lipoprotein profiles. Clinically, these favorable lipid/lipoprotein profiles cannot explain the paradoxically higher CVD mortality in AAW than WAW and warrant further prospective outcome studies.

    We replace Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) with an MgO nano-facet Embedded WO(3)/Ag/WO(3)(WAW) multilayer for electrodes of high efficiency OLEDs. WAW shows higher values for transmittance (93%) and conductivity (1.3×10(5) S/cm) than those of ITO. Moreover, WAW shows higher transmittance (92.5%) than that of ITO (86.4%) in the blue region (<500 nm). However, due to the large difference in refractive indices (n) of glass (n=1.55) and WO(3) (n=1.95), the incident light has a small critical angle (52°). Thus, the generated light is confined by the glass/WAW interface, resulting in low light outcoupling efficiency (~20%). This can be enhanced by using a nano-facet structured MgO (n=1.73) layer and a ZrO(2) (n=1.84) layer as a graded index layer. Using these optimized electrodes, ITO-free, OLEDs with various emission wavelengths have been produced. The luminance of OLEDs using MgO/ZrO(2)/WAW layers is enhanced by 24% compared to that of devices with ITO.

    Watch and wait (WAW) is a common approach for asymptomatic, advanced stage follicular lymphoma (FL), but single-agent rituximab is an alternative for these patients. In this nationwide study we describe the outcome of patients selected for WAW. A cohort of 286 out of 849 (34%) stage III-IVA FL patients seen between 2000 and 2011, were managed expectantly and included. The 5-year progression-free survival (PFS) was 35% [95% confidence interval (CI) 29-42]. The 10-year overall survival (OS) was 65% (95%CI 54-78), and the cumulative risk of dying from lymphoma within 10 years of diagnosis was 13% (95%CI 7-20). Elevated lactate dehydrogenase and > four nodal regions involved were associated with a higher risk of lymphoma treatment and death from lymphoma. The WAW patients and a matched background population had similar OS during the first 50 months after diagnosis (P = 0·7), but WAW patients had increased risk of death after 50 months (P < 0·001). The estimated loss of residual life after 10 years was 6·8 months. The 10-year cumulative risk of histological transformation was 22% (95%CI 15-29) and the 3-year OS after transformation was 71% (95%CI 58-87%). In conclusion, advanced stage FL managed by WAW had a favourable outcome and abandoning this strategy could lead to overtreatment in some patients.

    Transparent conductive oxide (TCO) films using WO3/Ag/WO3 (WAW) were fabricated under room temperature conditions. WAW has a low sheet resistance of 12 Ω/sq and a work function of 6.334 eV. This is one of the TCOs with the highest work function. These properties make it useful for application in electroluminescent devices and solar cells. Both theoretical calculation and experimental results show that the two WO3 layers strongly affect transparency, while the Ag layer determines transmittance and electrical performances. These rules can be applied in all dielectric/metal/dielectric structures.

    In this work, n-type silicon based solar cells with WO3/Ag/WO3 multilayer films as emitter (WAW/n-Si solar cells) were presented via simple physical vapor deposition (PVD). Microstructure and composition of WAW/n-Si solar cells were studied by TEM and XPS, respectively. Furthermore, the dependence of the solar cells performances on each WO3 layer thickness was investigated. The results indicated that the bottom WO3 layer mainly induced band bending and facilitated charge-carriers separation, while the top WO3 layer degraded open-circuit voltage but actually improved optical absorption of the solar cells. The WAW/n-Si solar cells, with optimized bottom and top WO3 layer thicknesses, exhibited 5.21% efficiency on polished wafer with area of 4 cm2 under AM 1.5 condition (25 °C and 100 mW/cm2). Compared with WO3 single-layer film, WAW multilayer films demonstrated better surface passivation quality but more optical loss, while the optical loss could be effectively reduced by implementing light-trapping structures. These results pave a new way for dopant-free solar cells in terms of low-cost and facile process flow.

  19. Reactive Sputter Deposition of WO3/Ag/WO3 Film for Indium Tin Oxide (ITO)-Free Electrochromic Devices.

    Functioning both as electrochromic (EC) and transparent-conductive (TC) coatings, WO3/Ag/WO3 (WAW) trilayer film shows promising potential application for ITO-free electrochromic devices. Reports on thermal-evaporated WAW films revealed that these bifunctional WAW films have distinct EC characteristics; however, their poor adhesive property leads to rapid degradation of coloring-bleaching cycling. Here, we show that WAW film with improved EC durability can be prepared by reactive sputtering using metal targets. We find that, by introducing an ultrathin tungsten (W) sacrificial layer before the deposition of external WO3, the oxidation of silver, which leads to film insulation and apparent optical haze, can be effectively avoided. We also find that the luminous transmittance and sheet resistance were sensitive to the thicknesses of tungsten and silver layers. The optimized structure for TC coating was obtained to be WO3 (45 nm)/Ag (10 nm)/W (2 nm)/WO3 (45 nm) with a sheet resistance of 16.3 Ω/□ and a luminous transmittance of 73.7%. Such film exhibits compelling EC performance with decent luminous transmittance modulation ΔTlum of 29.5%, fast switching time (6.6 s for coloring and 15.9 s for bleaching time), and long-term cycling stability (2000 cycles) with an applied potential of ±1.2 V. Thicker external WO3 layer (45/10/2/100 nm) leads to larger modulation with maximum ΔTlum of 46.4%, but at the cost of significantly increasing the sheet resistance. The strategy of introducing ultrathin metal sacrificial layer to avoid silver oxidation could be extended to fabricating other oxide-Ag-oxide transparent electrodes via low-cost reactive sputtering.

    Full Text Available The present paper deals with the interactions between a fully supersonic flame front, situated in a supersonic two-dimensional flow of an ideal homogeneous combustible gas mixture, and an incident shock wawe, which is penetrating in the space of the hot burnt gases. A possible configuration, which was named ,,simple penetration” is examined. For the anlysis of the interference phenomena, shock polar and shock-combustion polar are used. At the same time, the paper shows the possibility to produce similar but more complicated configurations, which may contain expansion fans and reflected shock waves.

  7. Effects of ytterbium on electrical and optical properties of BCP/Ag/WO3 transparent electrode based organic photovoltaic cells

    This study introduces dielectric/metal/dielectric multilayers based on a WO3/Ag/WO3 (WAW) anode and Yb/BCP/Ag/WO3 (Yb/BAW) cathode for use in organic photovoltaic cells (OPVs). Here, the Yb/BCP hybrid multilayer provides an effective electron transport layer (ETL), while the Yb doping ensures that voltage loss due to interfacial band bending is effectively suppressed. Transparent OPVs produced with a structure of WAW/P3HT:PCBM/Yb/BAW are shown to exhibit a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of up to 2.42%, achieving a 65.4% fill factor (FF) under one sun irradiation. These results indicate that the use of Yb in transparent OPVs is vastly superior to other ETLs, as it improves the majority of critical parameters such as short circuit current (Jsc), fill factor (FF) and PCE. This is attributed to a decrease in the series resistance and increase in the shunt resistance, while an increase in electron mobility also helps to ensure faster sweep out. The spectrograph used is a high quantum efficiency commercial Ocean Optics QE65000 Spectrometer with a wavelength range of 350 to 1100 nm, and spectral resolution of about 0.75 nm. High quantum efficiency allowed for many short exposures of the inner (100 msec) and outer (10,000 msec) corona during the eclipse. Important spectral features, and the difference in color between the inner and outer corona are identified. Atmospheric contributions are discussed. Likely candidates for the nature of dust grains contributing to the F-corona measurements are also presented. These are compared with laboratory spectra of silicon nanoparticles.

    DiSCuS, a "Database System for Compound Selection", has been developed. The primary goal of DiSCuS is to aid researchers in the steps subsequent to generating high-throughput virtual screening (HTVS) results, such as selection of compounds for further study, purchase, or synthesis. To do so, DiSCuS provides (1) a storage facility for ligand-receptor complexes (generated with external programs), (2) a number of tools for validating these complexes, such as scoring functions, potential energy contributions, and med-chem features with ligand similarity estimates, and (3) powerful searching and filtering options with logical operators. DiSCuS supports multiple receptor targets for a single ligand, so it can be used either to evaluate different variants of an active site or for selectivity studies.     Full Text Available This study investigates the vowels and hamza as it offers the phoenetics’ characteristics for both vowels and hamza in their separate contexts and for the effect of phoenetics contexts on their phoenetics’ characteristics. This study concludes that there is a symmetrical relationship between the characteristics of the vowels and hamza especially when the vowel comes after alif at the end of the word. In addition to waht have been mentioned, this study gropes the effect of syllabic structure in Arabic on the phoenetics’ sequences for the vowels which lead to the convert of waw and ya to hamza after alif. This conversion is discussed despite the difficulties of the articulations of the sounds. Was the hamza suitable phoenetics’ choice for this case? These things are discussed in the following article.

A thorough survey on the propagation models and defense techniques of Internet worm is made in this paper. We first give its strict definition and discuss the working mechanism. We then analyze and compare some repre sentative worm propagation models proposed in recent years, such as K-M model, two-factor model, worm-anti worm model (WAW), firewall-based model, quarantine based model and hybrid benign worm-based model, etc. Some typical defense techniques such as virtual honeypot, active worm prevention and agent-oriented worm defense, etc, are also discussed. The future direction of the worm defense system is pointed out.

    Full Text Available BACKGROUND: Feline injection-site sarcomas are malignant skin tumors of mesenchymal origin, the treatment of which is a challenge for veterinary practitioners. Methods of treatment include radical surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The most commonly used cytostatic drugs are cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin and vincristine. However, the use of cytostatics as adjunctive treatment is limited due to their adverse side-effects, low biodistribution after intravenous administration and multidrug resistance. Colloid gold nanoparticles are promising drug delivery systems to overcome multidrug resistance, which is a main cause of ineffective chemotherapy treatment. The use of colloid gold nanoparticles as building blocks for drug delivery systems is preferred due to ease of surface functionalization with various molecules, chemical stability and their low toxicity. METHODS: Stability and structure of the glutathione-stabilized gold nanoparticles non-covalently modified with doxorubicin (Au-GSH-Dox was confirmed using XPS, TEM, FT-IR, SAXRD and SAXS analyses. MTT assay, Annexin V and Propidium Iodide Apoptosis assay and Rhodamine 123 and Verapamil assay were performed on 4 feline fibrosarcoma cell lines (FFS1WAW, FFS1, FFS3, FFS5. Statistical analyses were performed using Graph Pad Prism 5.0 (USA. RESULTS: A novel approach, glutathione-stabilized gold nanoparticles (4.3 +/- 1.1 nm in diameter non-covalently modified with doxorubicin (Au-GSH-Dox was designed and synthesized. A higher cytotoxic effect (p<0.01 of Au-GSH-Dox than that of free doxorubicin has been observed in 3 (FFS1, FFS3, FFS1WAW out of 4 feline fibrosarcoma cell lines. The effect has been correlated to the activity of glycoprotein P (main efflux pump responsible for multidrug resistance. CONCLUSIONS: The results indicate that Au-GSH-Dox may be a potent new therapeutic agent to increase the efficacy of the drug by overcoming the resistance to doxorubicin in feline fibrosarcoma cell lines

For this reason, we developed Transimulation - a web service measuring translational activity of genes in three model organisms: Escherichia coli, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Homo sapiens. Transimulation quantifies mean translation initiation and elongation time (expressed in SI units, and the number of proteins produced per transcript.   19. Wind Vibration Study of Long-span Steel Arch Structure of Beijing Capital International Airport

    The wind-induced dynamic response of long-span light-weight steel arch structure of the global transportation center (GTC) of Beijing Capital International Airport was studied. A composite technique with combination of WAWS(Weighted Amplitude Wavelet Superposition) and FFT(Fast Fourier Transformation) was introduced to simulate wind velocity time series of hundreds of spatial points simultaneously. The structural shape fac tors of wind load was obtained from wind tunnel model test. The wind vibration factor based on structural displacement response was investigated. After comparing the computational results with wind tunnel model test data, it was found out that the two results accord with each other if wind comes from 0° direction angle, but are quite different if wind comes from 180° direction angle in the area blocked off by airport terminals. The possible reasons of this difference were analyzed. Haar wavelet was used to transform and analyze wind velocity time series and structural wind-induced dynamic responses. The relationship between exciting wind loads and structural responses was studied in time and frequency domains.

    Full Text Available Recent additions to the repertoire of gene expression regulatory mechanisms are polyadenylate (polyA tracks encoding for poly-lysine runs in protein sequences. Such tracks stall the translation apparatus and induce frameshifting independently of the effects of charged nascent poly-lysine sequence on the ribosome exit channel. As such, they substantially influence the stability of mRNA and the amount of protein produced from a given transcript. Single base changes in these regions are enough to exert a measurable response on both protein and mRNA abundance; this makes each of these sequences a potentially interesting case study for the effects of synonymous mutation, gene dosage balance and natural frameshifting. Here we present PATACSDB, a resource that contain a comprehensive list of polyA tracks from over 250 eukaryotic genomes. Our data is based on the Ensembl genomic database of coding sequences and filtered with algorithm of 12A-1 which selects sequences of polyA tracks with a minimal length of 12 A’s allowing for one mismatched base. The PATACSDB database is accessible at: http://sysbio.ibb.waw.pl/patacsdb.   1. Preparation and characterization of ultrafine Fe-Cu-based catalysts for CO hydrogenation

    The ultrafine particles of a new style Fe-Cu-based catalysts for CO hydrogenation were prepared by impregnating the organic sol of Fe(OH)3 and Cu(OH)2 onto the activated Al2O3, in which the organic sol of Fe(OH)3 and Cu(OH)2 were pre-pared in the microemulsion of dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid sodium(S)/n-butanol(A)/toluene(O)/water with V(A)/V(O) = 0.25 and W(A)/W(S)=1.50. This catalyst was characterized by particle size analysis, XRD and TG. The results of particle size analysis showed that Fe(OH)3 particles with a mean size of 17.1 nm and Cu(OH)2 particles with an average size of 6.65 μm were obtained. TG analysis and XRD patterns suggested that 673 K is the optimal calcination temperature. CO hydrogenation produced C+2 OH with a high selectivity above 58 wt% by using the ultrafine particles as catalyst, and the total alcohol yield of 0.250 g·ml-1·h-1 was obtained when the contents of Al2O3 and K were 88.61 wt% and 1.60 wt%, respectively.

  2. MR imaging of multiple fibroadenoma in breast: comparison with color doppler images and histologic findings

    To understand the different signal intensities seen on contrast enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in multiple fibroadenoma of the breast, and to compare these with color Doppler ultrasonographic (CDUS) and histologic findings. MRI (1.0 Tesla, TIWI, T2WI, 3D-gradient echo dynamic contrast enhancement study) findings of 24 histologically proven cases of fibroadenoma in five patients were evaluated and compared with the histologic components (myxoid, adenomatous, fibrous). In addition, vascular flow, as seen on CDUS and histologic section, was compared. The observed degree of signal intensity waw classified into three groups, as follows: negative, 8.3%, mild to moderate, 54.2%; marked, 37.5%. On histologic section, the greater the fibrotic component, the higher the intensity of MRI enhancement, the greater the glandular component, and the intensity. CDUS showed vascular flow in only one tumor larger than 3cm in diameter. Vascular patterns of tumors on CDUS were dots in mass and detouring pattern, but in this case and in strongly enhanced cases, tumor vascularity-as seen on histologic section-showed no significant increase. Different signal intensities seen on contrast enhanced MRI in multiple fibroadenoma of the breast may be related more to the amount of glandular and fibrotic component than to increased tumor vascularity.

  3. Transcatheter Closure of Patent Ductus Arteriosus and Atrial Septal Defects Using the Amplatzer Occluder

    Objective:To evalte the efficiency,safety and complications of transcatheter closure of patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) or secundum atrial septal defects (ASD)using the Amplatzer occluder device.Methods:30 patients underwent transcatheter closure of PDA or ASD with the Amplatzer occluder.The lateral descending aortographies were performed to evaluate immediate results in the 20 patients of PDA.Hemodynamics was studied before and after the procedure.X-ray and echocardiography were performed in order to detect residual shunt and recanalization.Results:The device was successfully implanted in 28 patients.There was on clinical evidence of hemolysis andon incidence of device emboliszation.The median operation time waw 56min and median fluoroscopy time was 11min .The devices'positions were optmal and on residual shunt was found 24h and 1month after the procedure No complicatios were observed during the 3-month follow-up in 25 patients.Conclusions:The Amplatzer occluder device is a highly efficient prosthesis that can be safely applied in most patients with PDA or ASD.

  4. Probing dark energy with the shear-ratio geometric test

    We adapt the Jain--Taylor (2003) shear-ratio geometric lensing method to measure the dark energy equation of state, and its time derivative from dark matter haloes in cosmologies with arbitrary spatial curvature. The full shear-ratio covariance matrix is calculated for lensed sources, including the intervening large-scale structure and photometric redshift errors as additional sources of noise, and a maximum likelihood method for applying the test is presented. Combining with the expected results from the CMB we design an optimal survey for probing dark energy. A targeted survey imaging 60 of the largest clusters in a hemisphere with 5-band optical photometric redshifts to a median galaxy depth of zm=0.9 could measure w0 to a marginal 1-sigma error of $\\Delta$w0=0.4.     The solvent extraction of KAu(CN)2 from alkaline solution by quaternary ammonium salts (trialkylmethylammonium chloride or cetyltrimethylammonium bromide) waw investigated by means of 198Au radioactive tracer method. Various parameters,such as the gold (I) concentration in aqueous phase,the modiffer,emulsifiation at the interface of two phases, and phase ratio used in the extraction of gold (I) were studied. The results demonstrate that almost all gold (I) in the aqueous phase was practically extracted into the organic phase. The water content in the organic phase decreased significantly with increase of gold (I) concentration using long chain alcohol as modifier,in contrast with the system with tributyl phosphate (TBP) as modifier. Emulsification at the interface of two phases decreases with an increase of modifier concentration in the organic phase or with the addition of a small amount of lysozyme into the aqueous phase. The method with 198Au tracer can be directly used to determine the Au(I) concentration both in aqueous and organic phases, which is especially suitable for the low concentration of Au(I).

At last, MQTT protocol waw used to complete the alarm information push.   9. The presence of bromuconazole fungicide pollutant in organic waste anaerobic fermentation

    The presence of bromuconazole fungicide pollutant in organic waste anaerobic fermentation was carried out as well as the influence phenol and benzoate, and biodegradation of bromuconazole. Bromuconazole is a fungicide effective against Ascomycetes, Basidiomycetes and fungi imperfecti in cereals, grapes, top fruits and vegetables. It is also effective against Alternaria and Fusarium sp. The remaining fungicide in leaves might contaminates landfill. One month of organic waste added with bromuconazole was anaerobically incubated in 500 mL bottles at 30°C without shaking in dark room. High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) with UV detector and a 100 RP 185μm Lichrosphere column was used to determine bromuconazole concentration. Methane content was determined by Gas Chromatography (GC) method equipped with a flame ionization detector and a metal column packed with 5% neopentyl glycol sebacate and 1% H3PO4 on Chromosorb W-AW (mesh 80-100). After incubation for 225 days, bromuconazole of 200 mg/L inhibited the production of methane (99.5 mM) significantly, but did not inhibit the production of volatile fatty acids. The addition of 100 mg/L phenol or 146 mg/L benzoate increased the production of methane, 143 mM and 135.2 mM, respectively compared with control (121.8 mM). In anaerobic conditions, the presence of toxic pollutants such as fungicide bromuconazole in landfills sites may cause further problems with the accumulation of volatile fatty acids in leachate. Further study to determine the threshold, the presence of bromconazole in low concentration (less than 200 mg/L) on the methane production is recommended.

    In the frame of the FP7 POPDAT project the Ionosphere Waves Service (IWS) has been developed and opened for public access by ionosphere experts. IWS is forming a database, derived from archived ionospheric wave records to assist the ionosphere and Space Weather research, and to answer the following questions: How can the data of earlier ionospheric missions be reprocessed with current algorithms to gain more profitable results? How could the scientific community be provided with a new insight on wave processes that take place in the ionosphere? The answer is a specific and unique data mining service accessing a collection of topical catalogs that characterize a huge number of recorded occurrences of Whistler-like Electromagnetic Wave Phenomena, Atmosphere Gravity Waves, and Traveling Ionosphere Disturbances. IWS online service (http://popdat.cbk.waw.pl) offers end users to query optional set of predefined wave phenomena, their detailed characteristics. These were collected by target specific event detection algorithms in selected satellite records during database buildup phase. Result of performed wave processing thus represents useful information on statistical or comparative investigations of wave types, listed in a detailed catalog of ionospheric wave phenomena. The IWS provides wave event characteristics, extracted by specific software systems from data records of the selected satellite missions. The end-user can access targets by making specific searches and use statistical modules within the service in their field of interest. Therefore the IWS opens a new way in ionosphere and Space Weather research. The scientific applications covered by IWS concern beyond Space Weather also other fields like earthquake precursors, ionosphere climatology, geomagnetic storms, troposphere-ionosphere energy transfer, and trans-ionosphere link perturbations.

    World carbon dioxide emissions from the combustion of fossil fuels have increased at a rate of about 3 percent per year during the last 40 years to over 24 billion tons today. While a number of methods have been proposed and are under study for dealing with the carbon dioxide problem, all have advantages as well as disadvantages which limit their application. The anaerobic bacterium Chlorobium thiosulfatophilum uses hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide to produce elemental sulfur and cell biomass. The overall objective of this project is to develop a commercial process for the biological sequestration of carbon dioxide and simultaneous conversion of hydrogen sulfide to elemental sulfur. The Phase I study successfully demonstrated the technical feasibility of utilizing this bacterium for carbon dioxide sequestration and hydrogen sulfide conversion to elemental sulfur by utilizing the bacterium in continuous reactor studies. Phase II studies involved an advanced research and development to develop the engineering and scale-up parameters for commercialization of the technology. Tasks include culture isolation and optimization studies, further continuous reactor studies, light delivery systems, high pressure studies, process scale-up, a market analysis and economic projections. A number of anaerobic and aerobic microorgansims, both non-photosynthetic and photosynthetic, were examined to find those with the fastest rates for detailed study to continuous culture experiments. C. thiosulfatophilum was selected for study to anaerobically produce sulfur and Thiomicrospira crunogena waws selected for study to produce sulfate non-photosynthetically. Optimal conditions for growth, H2S and CO2 comparison, supplying light and separating sulfur were defined. The design and economic projections show that light supply for photosynthetic reactions is far too expensive, even when solar systems are considered.     The lithospheric architecture of Africa consists of several Archean cratons and smaller cratonic fragments, stitched together and flanked by polycyclic fold belts. Here we investigate the structure and chemistry of spinels from lithospheric mantle xenoliths from distinct tectonic settings, i.e. from the Saharan metacraton in Libya (Waw-En-Namus) which could show archaic chemical features, Cameroon (Barombi Koto and Nyos Lakes) where the Sub Continental Lithospheric Mantle was modified during the Pan-African event and fluxed by asthenospheric melts of the Tertiary Cameroon Volcanic Line and Morocco (Tafraoute, Bou-Ibalrhatene maars) in the Middle Atlas where different metasomatic events have been recorded. From a structural point of view it is to notice that the Libyan spinels can be divided into two groups having different oxygen positional parameter (u > 0.2632 and u different among the different samples with one Libyan group (LB I) showing Tc in the range 490-640 °C and the other 680-950 °C (LB II). Cameroon and Morocco spinels show a Tc in the range 630-760 °C. About 150 different spinels have been studied for their trace element content and it can be seen that many of them are related to Cr content, while Zn and Co are not and clearly distinguish the occurrences. Differences in the trace element chemistry, in the structural parameters and in the intracrystalline closure temperatures suggest that a different history should be considered for Cameroon, Morocco and LB I and LB II spinels. Even if it was not considered for this purpose, we tentatively used the Fe2 +/Fe3 + vs. TiO2 diagram that discriminate between peridotitic and the so-called ;magmatic; spinels, i.e. spinel crystallized from melts. LB I and LB II spinels plot in the peridotitic field while Cameroon and Morocco spinels fall in the magmatic one.     研发了一种采用干电极的脑-机接口系统,此系统克服了现有脑机接口用脑电信号采集及信号处理系统笨重而不便于携带的缺点.此系统采用半导体微加工工艺制作的“干”电极作为采集脑电信号的电极,佩戴方便且能长时间使用.整个便携式脑机接口系统在脑电信号采集、处理和传输三个方面都采用了利于便携的设计,信号处理采用专用的集成电路,信号的采集和处理端与信号接收端采用射频芯片收发数据.整个系统的重量只有39g.该脑-机接口系统以人体的专注程度作为控制外部设备的控制信号,经过训练的受试者可以通过脑电信号实现对机器的控制.%A new portable wireless brain-machine interface (BMI) system was designed and fabricated using the techin-que of dry electrode. The dry electrode was used in this system to record Electroencephalography (EEG) , and it was fabricated using the standard micromachining techniques so it is easy to wear. The system was composed of the three parts of signal recording, processing and transmission. Electroencephalography was recorded by the dry electrode , and was amplified, processed by using the application specific integrate circuit ( ASIC) , and the processed signal waw transmitted to the receiver by the wireless module. The EEG recording and processing module weighs 39g only. The system can be used to obtain the attention amplitude of the testees, and those trained testees could have the ability to control the machine through the EEG signal.

    Full Text Available Some remarks on the equivalence keywords in the iSybislaw system information (based on selected grammatical terms The article focuses on one of the issues connected with the development of the information retrieval system iSybislaw. The system contains a biographical database of Slavic linguistics which is available on­line at www.isybislaw.ispan.waw.pl. An important element of the system are key words, and the main aim of the international team of Slavist linguists developing the iSybislaw system in cooperation with the Slavic Academic Information Centre (CSIN is to create a multilingual dictionary of terms related to various areas of Slavic linguistics, that is to establish terminological equivalents in Slavic languages and in the English language. Establishing multilingual terminological equivalents is essential not only for Slavic theoretical linguistics but also for language corpora which require morphosyntactic marking, especially parallel corpora. The analysis presented here allows for drawing the conclusion that the dictionary of multilingual key terms of Slavic linguistics for the iSybislaw system should be developed (or at least verified by specialists in individual areas of Slavic linguistics (phonetics, morphology, syntax, word formation, dialectology, ethnolinguistics, etc.. Because of the adopted principle that Polish keywords are used as descriptors in the iSybislaw system, the linguists should compare the Polish system of terms with the terminology used in other Slavic languages.   17. Clinical analysis of total knee arthroplasty in patients with late rheumatoid arthritis%人工全膝关节置换术治疗晚期类风湿性关节炎的疗效研究

    目的::探讨人工全膝关节置换术(total knee arthroplasty,TKA)治疗晚期膝关节类风湿性关节炎的手术方法及临床疗效。方法:回顾性分析2006年7月至2014年11月,采用全膝关节置换术治疗晚期膝关节类风湿性关节炎患者36例(45膝)。其中男24例,女12例。年龄58~79岁,平均72岁。临床症状主要表现为患膝疼痛,屈曲挛缩畸形及功能受限。术后随访膝关节(HSS评分)及放射X片影像学改变。结果:所有病人术后平均随访43个月,无1例出现假体周围感染、深静脉血栓形成等并发症。5例术后出现腓总神经麻痹,经过营养神经等保守治疗,术后半年恢复。膝关节HSS评分由术前(51.75±4.14)分上升至术后(85.75±2.47)分,与术前HSS评分比较,P<0.01,差异有统计学意义,其中优31膝,良9膝,优良率达89豫。膝关节假体X线片影像学随访未见假体松动。结论:人工全膝关节置换术中通过精确的截骨纠正下肢力线以及合理的软组织松解治疗晚期类风湿性关节炎可获得满意的临床疗效。%Objective: To explore the clinical effect and techniques of total knee arthroplasty (TKA) on the patients with late knee rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methods From july 2006 to November 2014, TKA waw performed in 36 patients with 45 knees suffered from late RA, including male 24 knees and female 12 knees, with an average age of 72 years (58 ~ 79 years). All patients experienced severe pain and knee flexion contracture. The patients were all followed up and evaluated with HSS score and X radiographic examination. Results The average period of follow-up was 43 months. The mean HSS score was improved from preoperative 51.75±4.14 points to postoperative 85.75 ± 2.47 points, with statistically significant difference (P< 0.01). According to HSS, 31 knees were rated excellent, 9 good, and the choiceness rate was 89%. There were no complications such as infection and

    以杭州湾跨海大桥北通航孔斜拉桥为背景,采用ANSYS有限元分析软件对其施工中最大双悬臂及最大单悬臂状态进行了风致抖振响应时域分析.采用谐波合成法进行了随机风场模拟,对塔、梁和索承受的风荷载分别进行了简化,并给出了静风力、抖振力和自激力的时域表达式及自激力在ANSYS中的实现方法;采用“鱼骨式”模型作为斜拉桥主梁的计算模型,分析考虑了结构的几何、气动非线性.分析结果表明:在施工阶段设计风荷载下,主梁悬臂端及塔顶处位移响应较小,风荷载效应与恒载效应组合后,塔根部截面最大拉应力为0.707 MPa;根据抖振响应分析结果和其他因素综合考虑,对杭州湾跨海大桥北通航孔斜拉桥提出了施工过程中有效可行的抗风措施.%Based on the project of north channel cable-stayed bridge of Hangzhou Bay Sea-crossing Bridge, the time-domain analysis of wind-induced buffet was carried out under the double and single jib condition by ANSYS. The random wind field was simulated by WAWS. Buffeting wind loads, which were exerted on tower, girder and cables, were simplified separately. The time-domain expressions of static wind force, buffeting force and full coupled auto-excited force, and how to exert the full coupled auto-excited force in ANSYS were proposed in this paper. Single beam elements were adopted to proceed the time-domain analysis, and the geometric and aerodynamic nonlinear of the structure was considered. Time-domain analysis results show that under the design wind loads at construction stage, the displacement response is smaller at the cantilever end of main girder and the top of pylon. The maximum tensile stress of the section at the root of pylon is 0. 707 MPa after combination of wind loads and dead loads.     目的 确定七氟烷抑制全麻患儿喉罩通气道拔除反应的最低肺泡有效浓度(MAC).方法 择期全麻手术患儿25例,ASA Ⅰ或Ⅱ级,年龄3~8岁.吸人8%七氟烷麻醉诱导后置人喉罩,吸入3%七氟烷维持麻醉.术中均保留自主呼吸.术毕吸除口腔分泌物后维持预定七氟烷浓度10 min,采用序贯法调整七氟烷浓度,初始呼气末七氟烷浓度为1%,相邻浓度比值为1.2,喉罩通气道拔除反应阳性时,则下一例患儿升高1个浓度梯度;喉罩通气道拔除反应阴性时,则下一例患儿降低1个浓度梯度.拔除喉罩后1 min内患儿出现有目的性的肢体运动、屏气、喉痉挛和低氧血症(spO2<95%)为喉罩通气道拔除反应阳性,否则为阴性.将阳性反应到阴性反应的中点设为平衡点,计算所有平衡点七氟烷浓度的平均值,即为MAC.结果 七氟烷抑制喉罩通气道拔除反应的MAC为0.98%.结论 七氟烷抑制全麻患JL(3~8岁)喉罩通气道拔除反应的最低肺泡有效浓度为0.98%.%Objective To determine the minimum alveolar concentration(MAC)of sevoflurane for blunting the responses to removal of the laryngeal mask airway(LMA)in 50%anesthetized children.Methods Twenty-five ASA Ⅰ or Ⅱ children aged 3-8 yr undergoing elective surgery under general anesthesia weTe enrolled in this stuay.Anesthesia was induced with inhalation of 8%Sevoflurane.LMA was inserted when the children lost eyelash reflex and the lower jaw was relaxed.Anesthesia was maintained with 3%sevoflurane.All the children kept spontaneous breathing during operation.Assisted ventilation waw performed when necessary to maintain PET CO2 at 35-45 mm Hg.After the surgery the target end-tidal sevoflurane concentration was maintained for 10 min before LMA was removed.Up-and-down sequential allocation was used to determine山e MAC.The initial end-tidal concentration was 1%and was increased/decreased by 20%in the next patient if the extubation response was positive or

    in AHH distance of the affected shoulder was observed after 4 weeks. Shoulder subluxation waw cured in 13 patients, with AHH distance <0.75 cm after 4 weeks of treatment. Conclusion The PNF technique applied was effective for the early treatment of subluxation after stroke. Motor function in the affected upper limb could be improved significantly and pain alleviated.

    Objective To investigate the status of deciduous caries and early childhood caries among 3-5 year-old children of Uyghur and Chinese in Urumqi, and to explore the correlative factors of early childhood caries. Methods According to the criteria recommended by the Third National Oral Health Investigation, and Oral Health Surveys:Basic Methods of World Health Organization, the deciduous caries of 474 Urghur and Chinese children aged from threeto five in nine kindergartens were clinically examined. Data were collected by questionnaire from their parents, and the result waw analyzed using Logistic regression analysis. Results The result of logistic regression analysis showed that the variables including nationality, frequency of drinking milk, eating cookie or drinking sweet beverage before sleep, brushing teeth with help, and educational background of the mother were closely related to the incidence of infantile caries.Conclusion The nationality, frequency of drinking milk, eating cookie or drinking sweet beverage before sleep, brushing teeth with help, and educational background of the mother are correlative factors of early childhood caries.     目的:探讨先天性小耳畸形的临床特点及全耳廓成形及听力重建术的方法和效果.方法:统计、整理2005-01-2010-10期间在我科住院治疗的58例(62耳)小耳畸形患者的资料,本组患者均为先天性耳廓畸形伴外耳道闭锁、听骨链畸形、重度传导性聋.所有患者术前行颞骨CT检查并三维重建,听力学检查.手术分2期进行,一期行耳廓一次成形,外耳道重建,中耳重建手术;二期行耳后植皮,颅耳角再造,对术前、术后的资料进行回顾性分析.结果:耳廓成形加外耳道、中耳重建术后再造耳廓外形良好,耳廓和外耳道口位置接近正常,大部分患者术后听力获得改善.结论:对先天性耳廓畸形并外耳道闭锁的患者,术前应精心设计,根据多层螺旋CT三维重建结果确定听力重建入路及中耳畸形程度,全耳廓成形及听力重建术后可以同时改善耳廓外形和提高听力.%Objectives To Study the clinical features of congenital microtia and atresia . To evaluate the methods and results of the same microtia surgery, ear canal and middle ear reconstruction.     The effects of maximal dynamic exercise (sprint has been studied on the ECG of 100 greyhound who run in programmed 350 m races. Two ECG were taken in each animal: one before the race and the other after the effort. After the race there is a significant increase of the voltage in the waves P, R and T in DII, DIII and aVF, and the T waves are symetrical in 96% of the subjets. The highest voltage and duration of the P wawes represent the efficacy of the atrial function on the maintenance of the cardiac output. The increase of the amplitude of the R and T waves would be a consequence of the systolic volumen increase and the establishment of transitory myocardial ischemia. The average heart rate increases in 21.740"30.109 b.p.m., beeing the difference significant. When we analyse the ECG after exercise with the resting ECG in relation with age, weight, sex, category and rank we deduce that the differences arent related with those groups, except to the heart rate and age, observing that the capacity in increasing it decreases with age.

Después de la carrera hay un aumento significativo del voltaje de las ondas P, R y T en DII, DIII y aVF, y las ondas T son simétricas en el 96% de los sujetos. El mayor voltaje y duración de las ondas P representan la eficacia de la función auricular para el mantenimiento del volumen minuto.     Objective To develop the EPCsTet-On-EphAlSiRNA cell line which can regulate the EphA1 gene expression by doxycycline. Methods EPCs were transfected with pWHE146 vector by liposome transfection reagent. The transfected cells were screened in medium containing G418 and G418-resistant clones were isolated. All individual G418-resistant clones were selected by transient transfection with plasmid pTRE-hyg-luc. And the low background and high induction of luciferase in response to doxycycline clones were selected. The isolated clones were named EPCsTet" On. Followed, EPCsTefOn cells were transfected with pTHE-EphAlSiRNA vector by liposome transfection reagent. The transfected cells were selected in medium containing hygromycin(hyg) and the double'stable cell lines(G418- and hyg-resistant) EPCsTet-On-EphAlSiRNA were isolated. Induced by doxycycline, RT-PCR and Western blotting were used to test the expression of EphAl. Results Low background and high induction EPCsTet-On-EphAlSiRNA were established successfully. EphA1 mRNA could be induced to down-expressed in EPCsTet-On-EphAlSiRNA by doxycycline. Compared with no doxycycline group which has statistical significance(P< 0.05). In addition the expression rate of EphAl was decreased significantly by doxycycline in a concentration-dependent manner. Conclusion The double-stable cell line EPCsTet-On-EphAlSiRNA waw successfully established, which could be induced EphA 1 dowrrexpressed by doxycycline and provided an ideal experimental platform for further study of EPCs in angiogenesis of liver cancer.%目的 建立可调控EphA1基因表达的内皮祖细胞系EPCsTetOn-EphAl1SiRNA.方法 将pWHE146质粒转染到内皮祖细胞系中,筛选出稳定表达的细胞克隆;扩增后瞬时转染pTRE-hyg-luc质粒,强力霉素诱导表达后,检测荧光素酶活性,挑选出高表达、低背景的受强力霉素调控的EPCsTet-On细胞株;再将重组质粒pTRE-EphA1SiRNA转染入EPCsTet-On细胞株,筛选出稳定表达细

    Full Text Available All letters in an alphabet are of high importance and are necessary for the language. However, it is certain that some letters in a language are used more frequently compared to others. It is possible to notice this even by taking a glance at dictionaries. Also, it can be argued that some letters are of vital importance in some languages due to grammar rules. Letter ‘waw’ serves several purposes especially in Arabic, Persian, and Ottoman Turkish. In terms of its attributionswithin Turkish-Islamic culture and art, it can be easily realized that thesymbolic value of the letter is very high.In addition to its functions in grammar, throughout the historyletter waw has represented all Islamic art in general and aesthetic ofcalligraphy in particular; furthermore, metaphysical, religious, andcultural meanings were also designated to the letter. Since as a letter itsymbolizes both God and human being, it brought about the idea that itcan be seen as the manifestation of the thought ‘unity of existence’which has an important place within Islamic Mysticism. Letter ‘waw’especially with the style written according to the jaly thuluth principles,is a form frequently seen both in architectural and literal works of art.Calligraphers produced various works in which letter ‘waw’ isemphasized or centered. Since some of the compositions have becomevintage samples, almost every calligrapher re-wrote them repeatedly.This study tries to analyze the aesthetical dimensions of letter ‘waw’within the art of Islamic calligraphy along with its grammatical andsymbolic meanings.     improvement of ionospheric services by coordinating the development of specific algorithms, models,
