Uncertainty Analysis of Seebeck Coefficient and Electrical Resistivity Characterization

In order to provide a complete description of a materials thermoelectric power factor, in addition to the measured nominal value, an uncertainty interval is required. The uncertainty may contain sources of measurement error including systematic bias error and precision error of a statistical nature. The work focuses specifically on the popular ZEM-3 (Ulvac Technologies) measurement system, but the methods apply to any measurement system. The analysis accounts for sources of systematic error including sample preparation tolerance, measurement probe placement, thermocouple cold-finger effect, and measurement parameters; in addition to including uncertainty of a statistical nature. Complete uncertainty analysis of a measurement system allows for more reliable comparison of measurement data between laboratories.

concepts were caused by diverse political ideologies in the second half of the 20th century. Physical education in the former Czechoslovakia was influenced by the Soviet physical culture philosophy. Popularity of sport in the 1960's and the 1970's affected the PE curricula in Western Germany, but later, in the 1980's, sport decreased in importance. After the end of the "Cold War", PE focussed on "life long activities," and the influence of American culture was visible in the PE development in European countries. Recently, an active life style has been supported and the issue of health has become an important part of the PE curricula. CONCLUSIONS: The results of this analysis confirm different approaches to physical education concepts among these countries in terminology, roles, and goals during different time periods. Our findings also show that the educational reforms in Germany and the USA were started 10 and 20 years earlier than in the Czech Republic. Therefore, it is important to carry out further comparisons of current educational reforms that might help to reform Czech physical education.[VÝCHODISKA: Politické, strukturní a ekonomické reformy v České republice po roce 1989 přivodily také rychlé a hluboké změny ve vzdělávání mající vliv i na tělesnou výchovu. V souvislosti se sjednocováním Evropy a globalizačními tendencemi podobné změny probíhají i v dalších zemích. CÍLE: Komplexita situace, rychlé změny a různé pedagogické tradice ztěžují vypracování systémového pohledu na současné reformy tělesné výchovy. The z = 1.6748 C I Absorber Toward the QSO PKS 1756+237

We have detected C I ground-state absorption at zabs = 1.6748 toward the QSO PKS 1756+237 (zem = 1.725), making this only the fourth known C I QSO absorber. The absence of excited-state fine-structure C I lines is compatible with the redshifted Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation at an expected temperature of TCMBR (1+z) = 7.291 K (Mather et al. 1994, ApJ, 354, L37). We find a 2 σ upper-limit on the C I excitation temperature of Tex <= 7.73(+0.53, -0.46) K (Roth & Bauer 1999, ApJ, submitted). Our Keck HIRES spectra (8.3 km s-1 FWHM) obtained in May 1997 also reveal the existence of Ni II and Fe II lines with a sub-solar Ni/Fe abundance ratio, presumably indicative of dust. We have obtained deep, high resolution (0.3'' FWHM) images in H+K' with the UH 2.2m Tip-Tilt system of the QSO field in order to identify the system responsible for the zabs = 1.6748 absorption. We detect two faint candidate systems within 1.5'' and 3'' (≅ 15 and 30 kpc, Hcirc = 65) of the QSO.

The impact of competition in physical activity and sport on the self-perception of individuals with physical disabilities [Vliv soutěžení při pohybové aktivitě a sportu na sebehodnocení jedinců s tělesným postižením

�lánky byly rozděleny a diskutovány podle ověřovaných hypotéz. Při zjišťování trendů byly akceptovány a zviditelněny kulturní odlišnosti. Zjištěné trendy byly srovnávány s výsledky obdobně zaměřených studií u jedinců bez pohybových omezení. VÝSLEDKY: Napříč srovnávanými výsledky diskutovaných článků byl potvrzen pozitivní vztah mezi pohybovou aktivitou, účastí ve sportu a vyšším sebehodnocením. Zjištěny však byly kulturní odlišnosti v sebehodnocení tělesně postižených jedinců. V západních zemích byl zjištěn výrazně pozitivní vztah mezi pohybovou aktivitou, účastí ve sportu a vyšším sebehodnocením jedinců s tělesným postižením. Avšak ve východních zemích není tento vztah jednoznačně pozitivní. Nejednoznačnost vztahu v pracích z "východních" zemí lze vysvětlit obecně nižším sebehodnocením jedinců s tělesným postižením oproti vyspělým západním zemím s vyšší kulturní diverzitou. Fenomén soutěžení a soupeření v pohybové aktivitě a sportu nemá výrazný vliv na sebehodnocení jedinců s tělesným postižením. Pouze sportovci s tělesným postižením na vrcholové úrovni vykazují výrazně vyšší sebehodnocení než ostatní skupiny stejně postižených jedinců. Stejné trendy byly zjištěny u jedinců bez tělesného postižení ve studiích z vyspělých západních zemí. ZÁVĚRY: Z výsledků je patrné, že pohybovou aktivitou a zapojením do sportovních programů lze zvýšit sebehodnocení jedinců se specifickými pohybovými potřebami a přispět k jejich vyšší kvalitě života. Při tvorbě pohybových programů pro jedince s tělesným postižením je však nutné zohledňovat kulturní specifika. Výsledky studií potvrzují teorii úspěšnosti v životě sportovců s tělesným postižením a skutečnost, že pohybové programy mohou propojit soutěžní a dovednostní úroveň jedinců.

At present, the zebrafish embryo is increasingly used as an alternative animal model to screen for developmental toxicity after exposure to xenobiotics. Since zebrafish embryos depend on their own drug-metabolizing capacity, knowledge of their intrinsic biotransformation is pivotal in order to correctly interpret the outcome of teratogenicity assays. Therefore, the aim of this in vitro study was to assess the activity of cytochrome P450 (CYP)-a group of drug-metabolizing enzymes-in microsomes from whole zebrafish embryos (ZEM) of 5, 24, 48, 72, 96 and 120 h post-fertilization (hpf) by means of a mammalian CYP substrate, i.e., benzyloxy-methyl-resorufin (BOMR). The same CYP activity assays were performed in adult zebrafish liver microsomes (ZLM) to serve as a reference for the embryos. In addition, activity assays with the human CYP3A4-specific Luciferin isopropyl acetal (Luciferin-IPA) as well as inhibition studies with ketoconazole and CYP3cide were carried out to identify CYP activity in ZLM. In the present study, biotransformation of BOMR was detected at 72 and 96 hpf; however, metabolite formation was low compared with ZLM. Furthermore, Luciferin-IPA was not metabolized by the zebrafish. In conclusion, the capacity of intrinsic biotransformation in zebrafish embryos appears to be lacking during a major part of organogenesis.

Full Text Available Olympijské hry se staly událostí zahrnující mnoho sportů, která zaměstnává nejen sportovce z různých zemí, ale také milióny diváků z celého světa. Z hlediska veřejného zájmu tedy převyšují jakoukoliv jinou sportovní nebo kulturní událost. Z iniciativy několika málo zemí a malého počtu sportovců se vyvinul historický fenomén dnešní civilizace, odehrávající se na určeném místě, s vlastními soutěžícími, nabídkou a pravidly. Olympijské hry vyjadřují ideologii různých národů na jediném místě, ideologii náboženství, zvyků, tradic, jazyků nebo obecně kultur. Probíhá při nich masová komunikace mezi soutěžícími a zbytkem celého světa. Sociální, vědecký, sportovně-technický a politický vývoj otevřel sportu jako sociálně-kulturnímu jevu široké obzory a sport se stal obecně prospěšným. Olympijských her se dnes účastní více než sto devadesát zemí. Sportovci a rozhodčí pocházejí z různých sociálních prostředí, což bylo v době, ve které hry vznikly, něco nepředstavitelného. Přesto je sociální komunikace mezi mladými lidmi celého světa v rámci této grandiózní události významným prvkem dnešních olympijských her. Můžeme při nich sledovat mistrovské sportovní výkony i setkávání mladých lidí bez ohledu na ideologii, rasu a náboženství. Právě to činí hry mimořádně krásnými a významnými. Autoři výzkumu se snažili podat podrobnější vysvětlení důležitých kulturních aspektů olympijských her a ukázat jejich sociální kontext. The distribution of QSO redshift (1 + Zi)/(1 + Zj)

Following a general survey conducted by Burbidge and Burbidge (1975) to consider the case for line-Locking in QSO spectra and a later statistical study by Sargent and Boroson (1977), the method of the latter and the QSO sample of the former are investigated further. The results of Sargent and Boroson are confirmed and it is noted that uneven spectral resolution in the QSO sample has over-emphasized the 1.11 peak in the combined emission-absorption and absorption-absorption redshift ratio distribution. The sample is extended to include recently observed QSOs and the absorption redshift selection is designed to exclude all but the most certain absorption redshifts. Care is taken in the selection procedure to ensure that there is no personal bias either way regarding the line-locking hypothesis. A peak is found to occur in the distribution of (1 + sub(Zem))/(1 + sub(Zabs)), given by the extended sample, at 1.11 with a chance probability of 3 x 10 -5 . It is concluded that the present data suggests the peak is real and that a physical interaction between the QSO emission line regions and absorption systems concerned is required to explain its occurrence. Full Text Available The present study is an attempt to assess the pollution intensity and corresponding ecological risk of phosphorus and metals including Cd, Cr, Cu, Zn, Pb and Fe using various indices like geo-accumulation index, enrichment factor, pollution and ecological risk index. In all, 20 surface soil samples were collected from the Ait Ammar iron mine of Oued Zem city, province of Khouribga, in central Morocco. The concentrations of heavy metals in soil samples were used to assess their potential ecological risks. According to the results of potential ecological risk index (RI, pollution index (PI, geo-accumulation index (Igeo, enrichment factor (EF, potential contamination index (Cp, contaminant factor (Cf and degree of contamination (Cd, based on the averages, considerable pollution of metals in soils of study area was observed. The consequence of the correlation matrix and principal component analysis (PCA indicated that Fe, Cu, Zn, Cr and P mainly originated from natural sources and Cd and Pb are mostly derived from anthropogenic sources. The results showed that these metals in soil were ranked by severity of ecological risk as Pb > Cd > Cu > Cr > Zn, based on their single-element indexes. In view of the potential ecological risk (RI, soils from all soil samples showed a potential ecological risk. These results will provide basic information for the improvement of soil environment management and heavy metal pollution prevention in Ait Ammar.

In times of industrialization, much low temperature waste heat is released and no viable technology exists which can produce electricity from this low energy density heat. So the long sought-after class thermoelectric (TE) material which directly achieves conversion between thermal and electrical energy obtains much attention. However, the traditional TE materials are alloys of inorganic materials and expensive, and most of them have some level of toxicity, so the research on organic TE materials is very important. The polyaniline (PANI, i. e., a conducting polymer) and PANI matrix Ge{sub 0.94}Pb{sub 0.01}Bi{sub 0.05}Te composite material were prepared. The chemical structure, microstructure and thermoelectric properties were investigated by FTIR, XRD, SEM and ZEM. Results showed that the molecule chains in the PANI were not ranged very neatly, and Ge{sub 0.94}Pb{sub 0.01}Bi{sub 0.05}Te in the composite material formed interconnected network as 20 wt.-% Ge{sub 0.94}Pb{sub 0.01}Bi{sub 0.05}Te was added. Power factor of the composite material increased greatly while its ZT was almost two times of PANI. The addition of Ge{sub 0.94}Pb{sub 0.01}Bi{sub 0.05}Te was an effective method to increase the thermoelectric properties of PANI.

Full Text Available Approximately 100 thousand men of Czech origin died during the wartime operations in the years 1914 to 1918. The majority were aged between 23 and 35. The reproductive losses have been estimated at another 610 thousand (550 thousand children that were never born due to the absence of a man in the household and another 60 thousand civilian dead. In 1914 the population in the Czech territories numbered 10 million 283 thousand, in 1919 this number decreased to 9 million 921 thousand. The ratio of men to women decreased (in 1920 there were 92.5 men to every 100 women. This imbalance in age frequency, a result of the low birth rate, had a long term effect firstly on the number of marriages, then on the birth rate and eventually on the mortality rate. These long term effects were evidently still present at the close of the 20th Century.

Full Text Available Zaměstnanost a ekonomický růst jsou dvěma nejdůležitějšími cíli, sledovanými v rámci Lisabonské strategie, pomocí níž by se z Evropy v dalších letech měl stát celosvětově nejdynamičtější a nejkonkurenceschopnější ekonomický region. Vlády jednotlivých zemí doposud plně nerozpoznaly prorůstový a zaměstnanostní potenciál, který skrývají dopady sportu a průmyslu volného času. Jejich vyhodnocení je velmi složité a přesto, že byly mnohé analýzy ve vyspělých zemích světa publikovány, jejich praktické využití je teprve na počátku. Prostřednictvím vybraných oblastí jsou dokumentovány případové studie potenciálního rozvoje zaměstnanosti iniciované rozvojem sportu. Možný vliv na potenciál zaměstnanosti a uplatnění na trhu práce se také staly jedním z významných faktorů tvorby nových curricul oboru rekreologie, které jsou zpracovávány v souvislosti s projektem Evropských sociálních fondů. [Employment and economic growth are monitored as two of the most important goals within the Lisbon strategy, which should make Europe the world's most dynamic and competitive region in the coming years. Governments of member states have not yet fully recognized the growth and employment potential of sport and leisure time industry. The valuation is very complicated and even though some analyses were already published in developed countries, the practical use is at the beginning. Case studies prove potential growth of employment in selected fields initiated by development of sport and leisure time industry. These fields include tourism, production and selling of sport equipment, services (physical condition, sport events, professional sport, media etc. The Czech Republic has an employment in sport of 0,3% which is just and average within the EU. Full Text Available Spokojenost žáků ve škole, obliba školy a učení zvyšují intenzitu osobního zapojení žáků do výuky, jejich ztotožnění se s procesem vzdělávání, což v konečném důsledku může mít výrazný pozitivní dopad na samotné výsledky vzdělávání. Cílem naší analýzy je podrobnější empirické zmapování oblíbenosti školy a učení se matematice, jak je vnímaná a vykazovaná žáky 4., 8., 9. a 10. ročníků na základě různých mezinárodních šetření TIMSS a PISA. Zaměřujeme se na případ České republiky, jejíž žáci vykazují abnormálně nízkou oblibu školy a učení se matematice i v jiných šetřeních. V první části prezentujeme podrobnější mezinárodní srovnání, v druhé části se soustředíme na oblibu u specifických skupin žáků a ve třetí části na asociace s charakteristikami škol a učitelů. Pro všechny země je charakteristický pokles obliby školy a učení s postupem do vyšších ročníků, nižší obliba u chlapců, pozitivní asociace se vzdělávacími výsledky žáků a vzdělaností rodičů, a to především ve vyšších ročnících. Ve srovnání s evropskými zeměmi je velmi nízká obliba školy a učení se v Česku dána především výrazně negativnějšími postoji chlapců, což se nejvíce projevuje v 8. třídách základních škol, kde je také patrná vysoká míra neobliby u žáků s nejhoršími výsledky. Podíl variace obliby vysvětlitelný faktory na straně učitelů a škol zachycenými šetřením TIMSS je velmi nízký.

Full Text Available Tato studie zkoumá dlouhodobý vývoj vodních ploch na příkladu dvou povodí s podobnými přírodními podmínkami (Povodí Kyjovky a povodí Trkmanky v České republice. S využitím starých topografických map byl vyhodnocen vývoj využití krajiny a proveden rozbor hybných sil změn využití krajiny. Zásadní změny využití krajiny jsou v tomto území spojeny s procesy zemědělské intenzifikace a urbanizace. Nejvyšší výměra vodních ploch byla zaznamenána v obou povodích v roce 1763. V druhé polovině 19. století se významně projevily zásadní hybné síly vedoucí k zániku většiny vodních ploch v obou povodích. Po druhé světové válce došlo k obnově některých vodních ploch v povodí Kyjovky, zároveň byly zakládány i nové rybníky. Naopak v povodí Trkmanky nebyly obnoveny žádné významné vodní plochy.

Full Text Available Veģetācijas dinamikas izpētē reti ir gadījumi, kad monitoringu vienlaicīgi veic vairākās atšķirīgās ekosistēmās. Tomēr šāda veida pētījumi ļauj padziļināti izprast veģetācijas struktūras un pazīmju izmaiņu mehānismus. Šajā pētījumā aplūkotas lakstaugu stāva izmaiņas, sugu aprite un sugu skaita-laika attiecība dažādu biotopu griezumā 12 gadu periodā ILTER monitoringa stacijā Engures ezera dabas parkā. Sugu aprite laikā definēta kā atšķirība sugu sastāvā starp diviem laika periodiem. Sugu skaita-laika attiecība tika novērtēta, izmantojot slīdošo logu pieeju. Detrendētā korespondentanalīze izmantota, lai noskaidrotu ikgadējās izmaiņas sugu sastāvā. Sugu skaits un kumulatīvais skaits, kā arī daudzveidība izteiktāk mainījās sugām bagātākajos nemeža biotopos, bet mazāk - meža biotopos. Sugu aprite stipri atšķīrās starp biotopiem, un tā nebija saistīta ar biotopu stabilitāti, kā tas konstatēts citos līdzīgos pētījumos. Sugu skaita-laika attiecība sešos biotopos bija stipri zemāka, nekā minēts līdz šim publicētos pētījumos. Tas varētu būt skaidrojams ar kopējo platuma grādu sugu daudzveidības gradientu, jo līdzšinējie pētījumi veikti galvenokārt zemajos platuma grādos, bet šajā pētījumā apskatītie biotopi reprezentē boreālo zonu. Augstajos platuma grādos gan sugu daudzveidība, gan aprite ir zemāka nekā zemajos platuma grādos. Veģetācijas dinamika nabadzīgā zālājā skābā augsnē, starpkāpu ieplakā, zāļu purvā un kāpu mežā interpretējama kā fluktuācijas. Sausā un mitrā mežā un piejūras zālājā bija novērojamas veģetācijas virzītas izmaiņas jeb sukcesija (attiecīgi - kserofitizācija, sugu sastāva nomaiņa un aizaugšana. Pludmales veģetācijas izmaiņās konstatētas gan dabiskas sukcesijas pazīmes (veģetācijas saslēgšanās, gan antropogēni izraisītu fluktuāciju pazīmes.

A new and automated method is presented for the analysis of high-resolution absorption spectra. Three established numerical methods are unified into one `artificial intelligence' process: a genetic algorithm (Genetic Voigt Profile FIT, gvpfit); non-linear least-squares with parameter constraints (vpfit); and Bayesian model averaging (BMA). The method has broad application but here we apply it specifically to the problem of measuring the fine structure constant at high redshift. For this we need objectivity and reproducibility. gvpfit is also motivated by the importance of obtaining a large statistical sample of measurements of Δα/α. Interactive analyses are both time consuming and complex and automation makes obtaining a large sample feasible. In contrast to previous methodologies, we use BMA to derive results using a large set of models and show that this procedure is more robust than a human picking a single preferred model since BMA avoids the systematic uncertainties associated with model choice. Numerical simulations provide stringent tests of the whole process and we show using both real and simulated spectra that the unified automated fitting procedure out-performs a human interactive analysis. The method should be invaluable in the context of future instrumentation like ESPRESSO on the VLT and indeed future ELTs. We apply the method to the zabs = 1.8389 absorber towards the zem = 2.145 quasar J110325-264515. The derived constraint of Δα/α = 3.3 ± 2.9 × 10-6 is consistent with no variation and also consistent with the tentative spatial variation reported in Webb et al. and King et al.

The Lyman limit absorption system zabs = 2.504 was previously used to measure D/H by Burles & Tytler using a spectrum with signal to noise approximately 60 per pixel in the continuum near Ly α at zabs = 2.504. The larger dataset now available combines to form an exceptionally high signal to noise spectrum, around 147 per pixel. Several heavy element absorption lines are detected in this LLS, providing strong constraints on the kinematic structure. We explore a suite of absorption system models and find that the deuterium feature is likely to be contaminated by weak interloping Ly α absorption from a low column density H I cloud, reducing the expected D/H precision. We find D/H =2.48^{+0.41}_{-0.35} × 10^{-5} for this system. Combining this new measurement with others from the literature and applying the method of Least Trimmed Squares to a statistical sample of 15 D/H measurements results in a "reliable" sample of 13 values. This sample yields a primordial deuterium abundance of (D/H)p = (2.545 ± 0.025) × 10-5. The corresponding mean baryonic density of the Universe is Ωbh2 = 0.02174 ± 0.00025. The quasar absorption data is of the same precision as, and marginally inconsistent with, the 2015 CMB Planck (TT+lowP+lensing) measurement, Ωbh2 = 0.02226 ± 0.00023. Further quasar and more precise nuclear data are required to establish whether this is a random fluctuation.

Ale i zásoby celého radu ïalších surovín (ropy, uhlia, zlata, železných rúd, chromitu, cínu, ilmenitu, medi, grafitu, atï. sú významné, ekonomicky ažite¾né a ich potenciál je obrovský. Za uvedené nerastné bohatstvo je „zodpovednᓠrozmanitá geologická stavba krajiny. Taktiež i morfológia a klíma (vlhká, tropická prispeli ku vytvoreniu niektorých ložísk (bauxity v krasových priehlbniach, atï.. Súèasná produkcia, okrem ropy (3,5 Mt/rok, zahròuje: 10,7 Mt uhlia, 3,5 Mt chromitu, asi 1 000 kg zlata, grafitu, kaolínu a mnohé iné minerály. Intervening O vi Quasar Absorption Systems at Low Redshift: A Significant Baryon Reservoir.

Far-UV echelle spectroscopy of the radio-quiet QSO H1821+643 (zem=0.297), obtained with the Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (STIS) at approximately 7 km s-1 resolution, reveals four definite O vi absorption-line systems and one probable O vi absorber at 0.15quasar in redshift; these are likely intervening systems unrelated to the background QSO. In the case of the strong O vi system at zabs=0.22497, multiple components are detected in Si iii and O vi as well as H i Lyman series lines, and the differing component velocity centroids and b-values firmly establish that this is a multiphase absorption system. A weak O vi absorber is detected at zabs=0.22637, i.e., offset by approximately 340 km s-1 from the zabs=0.22497 system. Lyalpha absorption is detected at zabs=0.22613, but no Lyalpha absorption is significantly detected at 0.22637. Other weak O vi absorbers at zabs=0.24531 and 0.26659 and the probable O vi system at 0.21326 have widely diverse O vi/H i column density ratios with N(O vi)/N(H i) ranging from

The Sightline to Q2343-BX415: Clues to Galaxy Formation in a Quasar Environment

We have discovered a strong DLA coincident in redshift with the faint QSO Q2343-BX415 (R=20.2, zem=2.57393). Follow-up observations at intermediate spectral resolution reveal that the metal lines associated with this proximate DLA (PDLA) consist of two sets of absorption components. One set is moving toward the quasar with velocities of ~150-600 km s-1 this gas is highly ionized and does not fully cover the continuum source, suggesting that it is physically close to the active nucleus. The other, which accounts for most of the neutral gas, is blueshifted relative to the QSO, with the strongest component at ~-160 km s-1. We consider the possibility that the PDLA arises in the outflowing interstellar medium of the host galaxy of Q2343-BX415, an interpretation supported by strong C IV and N V absorption at nearby velocities, and by the intense radiation field longward of the Lyman limit implied by the high C II*/H I ratio. If Q2343-BX415 is the main source of these UV photons, then the PDLA is located at either ~8 or ~37 kpc from the active nucleus. Alternatively, the absorber may be a foreground star-forming galaxy unrelated to the quasar and coincidentally at the same redshift, but our deep imaging and follow-up spectroscopy of the field of Q2343-BX415 has not yet produced a likely candidate. We measure the abundances of 14 elements in the PDLA, finding an overall metallicity of ~1/5 solar and a normal pattern of relative element abundances for this metallicity. Thus, in this PDLA there is no evidence for the supersolar metallicities that have been claimed for some proximate, high-ionization, systems. Based on data obtained at the W. M. Full Text Available The Czech Republic is often said to be one of the most secular countries in Europe, or even in the world. For this, in accord with the secularization thesis, the modernization is often mentioned, where it was supposed that it automatically leads to the decline of religion in society. In my paper, I recapitulate the basic points of the secularization thesis and dissect its criticism which seems to be aimed at the idea, that secularization represents just an unintended effect of modernization. Based on this criticism, I deduce resources for analysis of the religious situation in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, I prove that Czech society is not so much atheist, but more dechristianised, and I focus on reasons of this dechristianization in political, social and class conflicts, which had, according to my opinion, a great impact on Czech church’s religionism. In this paper, I address the conflicts between socialist movement and the Catholic Church, which as a result had a substantial effect on the dechristianization of the czech working class.

Full Text Available Po 2. světové válce se sport ocitl v nových společenských poměrech, určených existencí dvou světových hospodářských soustav. Dlouholetý předseda Mezinárodního olympijského výboru (dále MOV Avery Brundage odolal tlaku mezinárodních sportovních federací i národních olympijských výborů na vyplácení tréninkových a cestovních nákladů, jeho následovník lord Michael Killanin už uzdu povolil. Stavidla s definitivní platností otevřel ambiciózní Juan Antonio Samaranch, který se stal neomezeným diktátorem olympijského hnutí v 80. a 90. letech 20. století. Právě on umožnil vyplácení vysokých finančních částek sportovcům, a tím i účast profesionálních sportovců na olympijských hrách. Jaký vlastně byl vztah tzv. amatérského a profesionálního sportu? Byli sportovci v socialistických zemích amatéři nebo profesionálové? Jak socialistické země akceptovaly změny v olympijském hnutí v osmdesátých letech minulého století? Na tyto otázky se snaží předložený text odpovědět, přičemž hlavním zdrojem informací jsou soudobé dokumenty a denní tisk. Full Text Available Krajina České republiky v současnosti čelí nebezpečí sucha, které je způsobeno mnoha faktory. Mezi ně patří změny krajiny a krajinného pokryvu. V článku jsou sledovány změny vodních a mokřadních ploch a délky vodních toků na podkladě starých vojenských mapování a současného stavu. Vodní a mokřadní plochy v nížinách zásadně ubyly a krajina byla vysušována s cílem zvýšit zemědělskou a lesnickou produkci. Zatímco na konci 18. století vodní a mokřadní plochy zaujímaly skoro třetinu sledovaného území Novodvorska a Žehušicka ve středních Čechách, v současnosti je to jen 3,5 %. V každé ze sledovaných period ubylo přibližně 10 % jejich rozlohy, významný úbytek těchto ploch v krajině tak nastal již v 19. století. Vodní a mokřadní plochy byly změněny převážně na ornou půdu. Délka vodních toků poklesla zejména v průběhu 19. století. Současná data ukazují nárůst jejich délky, který je ale způsoben budováním zavodňovacích a odvodňovacích kanálů, jejichž délka je také započítána do celkové délky vodních toků, byť nejsou celoročně protékány vodou.

Full Text Available „Jiné instituce, jiná pravidla, jiný vztah“ – tak by se dal shrnout často opakovaný motiv rozhovorů s pracovníky různých institucí – škol, OSPOD, NNO – vzhledem k jejich spolupráci během zavádění tzv. inkluzivního vzdělávání. Podobně jako v dalších zemích i v ČR probíhá v reakci na sociokulturní diverzitu ve společnosti rozvoj tzv. inkluzivního vzdělávání. Změna vzdělávací politiky přináší prostor pro redefinici rolí aktérů, kteří se angažují především v oblasti práce s dětmi se sociálním znevýhodněním, a otevírá nové pole pro spolupráci mezi nimi. Ve studii jsou analyzovány kultury organizací, vzájemné recepce skupin aktérů a vymezování jejich rolí a vzájemných očekávání vzhledem k jejich spolupráci. Data byla zpracována skrze analýzu aktérů a kvalitativní rozhovory s aktéry NNO, škol a OSPOD ve dvou českých městech. Z nasbíraných dat vyplynulo, že kultura organizací (Cook & Yanow, 1993; Schein, 1990, má velký vliv na vztah s klienty i možnosti spolupráce s ostatními aktéry, nicméně je jen málo reflektována Cestou může být jasná komunikace hodnot i extenzivní normativní profesionalismus (Klaassen & Maslovaty, 2010. Diskuze o rolích aktérů ve vzdělávání je tedy zároveň diskuzí o identitě, diverzitě a kultuře organizací.

Full Text Available Išēmisks insults visbiežāk notiek vidējās cerebrālās artērijas apasiņošanas baseinā. Tika veikts retrospektīvs Insulta reģistra datu pētījums. Pētījumam tika atlasīti un apstrādāti pacientu dati laika periodā no 2013. gada janvāra līdz 2014. decembrim. Datu analīzei tika atlasīti 478 pacienti, kuriem ar angiogrāfijas metodi, bija apstiprināta ACM oklūzija. Puse no pacientiem bija vīrieši 237 (49,6% ar vidējo vecumu 69,51 gadi, sievietēm vidējais vecums bija 74,58 gadi. Biežākais insulta cēlonis bija kardioembolija - 294 (61, 5% gadījumos. Sīko asinsvadu saslimšana nebija kā cēlonis ACM M1 segmenta oklūzijas gadījumā. Reperfūzijas terapiju saņēma 209 (43,7% pacienti. Iestājoties neiroloģiskais stāvoklis abās grupās bija līdzīgs, taču izrakstoties lielāks uzlabojums bija reperfūzijas terapijas grupā NIHSS 6,82 salīdzinot ar konservatīvas terapijas grupu - NIHSS 8,2 (SD ± 6,23 (p < 0,05. Izrakstoties pacientu funkcionālais stāvoklis bija labāks reperfūzijas grupā, mRS 0-2 bija 39,2% gadījumu, kā arī slikts funkcionālais iznākums (mRS 4-5 bija sastopams retāk - tikai 34,5% gadījumu. Mirstība arī bija zemāka reperfūzijas grupā - 7,6%, salīdzinot ar konservatīvās terapijas grupu - 13,4%. Biežākais cēlonis ACM M1 segmenta oklūzijas insultam ir kardioembolija. Pacientiem ir liela atkārtotu insultu incidence. Iestājoties reperfūzijas terapijas un konservatīvas terapijas grupu pacientiem neiroloģiskais stāvoklis bija līdzīgs. Taču reperfūzijas grupā pacientiem izrakstoties bija ievērojamāks uzlabojums novērtējot neiroloģisko stāvokli. Arī funkcionālais stāvoklis izrakstoties bija labāks pacientiem, kas saņēma reperfūzijas terapiju.

Full Text Available V šetření TIMSS 2011 se objevil index nazvaný „důraz školy na studijní úspěch“ (SEAS. Cílem článku je osvětlit skutečnost, že české školy vykazují poměrně nápadné hodnoty tohoto indexu. Dále pomocí SEAS analyzuje vztah mezi postoji českých škol k reformě a znalostmi a dovednostmi jejich žáků. Teoretický úvod popisuje konstrukt akademický optimismus a index SEAS zavedený v šetření TIMSS. Následně je provedena explorativní sekundární analýza dat o úrovni složek SEAS v případě českých škol se zaměřením na nápadné odchylky hodnot. Práce vychází z výsledků žáků čtvrtých ročníků v matematickém testu TIMSS 2011 a z odpovídajících učitelských a ředitelských dotazníků. Pro analýzu vztahů v datech jsou použity základní prostředky popisné a inferenční statistiky. Zjištění ukazují na disproporčně nízkou důvěru ředitelů ve snahu žáků ve škole dobře prospívat, která je společná regionálnímu klastru zemí. Dále analýza přinesla nečekaná zjištění o vztahu mezi postoji ředitelů a učitelů ke kurikulární reformě a výsledky jejich žáků v matematice. Z literatury známá i naše původní zjištění o komponentách indexu SEAS v podmínkách českých škol přinášejí zajímavé pohledy mj. na vnímání reformních procesů v českých školách a doplňují tak literaturu o implementaci, resp. recepci reformy.

Full Text Available According to the 1867 constitution the Habsburg Monarchy’s armed forces consisted of the common army, the navy, the Austrian Landwehr and the Landsturm. The armed forces had authority over three ministries and were themselves subject to the rule of three parliamentary institutions. From the beginning the growth of the armed forces had not kept pace with that of the population as a whole. There was a low volume of conscripts and poor training of reservists. This resulted in a relatively small army both in peace time and during war and meant that by the spring of 1918 Austria-Hungary had practically exhausted its available human resources. This was exacerbated by the high number of losses, both through death and capture. On the battlefield the number of deaths is thought to have been between 905,000 and 1,200,000 with 1.8 million injured. At the same time the number of deaths and illness in the hinterland increased while the rate of fertility dropped. In order to resolve this the government applied a number of measures: the upper age limit of conscription increased, the necessary standards for recruitment were lowered, training period was shortened, more use of weapons, factory workers were replaced with women, prisoners of war and workers from the occupied territories. However at this time the importance of the “war economy” was also growing which resulted in an increase in firms requesting the release of their employees from military service. In 1918 the Habsburg Monarchy had not only exhausted its human resources but was also on the brink of economic collapse.

Les résultats permettent d'identifier comment les représentations so- ciales des enseignantes guident leurs atti- tudes, valeurs et comportement à l'intérieure de la salle de classe.ResumoEste artigo se deriva da pesquisa As represen- tações sociais sobre a inclusão. Um olhar des- de o campo da educação básica, cujo fim foi identificar as representações sociais que têm os mestres, diretores e supervisores da edu- cação básica no México sobre a inclusão da diversidade escolar. Especificamente, expõe- se a análise do discurso produzido por aque- las professoras denominadas colaboradoras. A partir de uma metodologia qualitativa, analisam-se as condições em que se produ- zem e circulam as representações sociais des- tas mestras e os problemas que enfrentam na tarefa de incorporar a inclusão nas salas de aula. Os resultados permitem identificar como essas representações sociais guiam suas atitudes, valores e comportamentos dentro da sala.

Multi-Objective Optimization of Transmission Lines / Elektropārvades Līnijas Daudzkriteriālā Optimizācija

Introduction of new advanced electrical connections into a transmission grid reduces the capacity of existing overhead lines (OHLs). At the same time, designing & building of new OHLs and substations involves considerable technical, environmental and economical problems. The authors propose a concept of the multi-objective optimization for selection of transmission line routes, towers (their type, placement and geometry), of conductors, insulators, dampers, earthing and lightning protection systems, span lengths, etc.. The optimization is organized in five stages. At the first and second stages a search for optimum solutions is performed along with determination of the main impacting factors. The next two stages present a two-objective optimization based on Pareto's approach. At the last stage (exemplified by a case study), the probability of the restriction removal conditions is assessed, and preventive measures are identified. The presented approach uses a real line design and is intended for minimizing the total invested capital and maximizing the net present value. In the framework of this approach 20 alternatives have been elaborated, which can successfully be applied in the cases described in the paper. Full Text Available The article deals with the advent of the formation of public opinion in the Czech lands in the end of 18th century. Specific attention focuses on the reflection of the French Revolution and its effects on the Czech environment, especially on minds of serfs. The article deals with unofficially disseminated information described by sheriffs in their reports, censorship of the press, surveys of the mood of the population and contemporary legends spread among the people. In this context, the paper shows that the given historical period gave birth to the modern public opinion in the Czech lands.

Full Text Available OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect that the "Paralympic School Day" had on the attitudes of children attending the International school in Ostrava, Czech Republic, toward the inclusion of peers with a disability in general physical education classes. METHODS: Students (71, including 42 boys and 29 girls, with a mean age of 12.70 and 11.67 years respectively, originating from 5 countries, participated in the program. All participants completed the questionnaire "Children's Attitude Toward Integrated Physical Education-Revised" (CAIPE-R (Block, 1995 and the Adjective checklist (Siperstein, 1980 before and after the implementation of the program. The CAIPE-R questionnaire examines two areas (subscales - general attitudes and sport specific attitudes. RESULTS: Results indicated significant differences only in general attitudes among girls measured by the Adjective checklist. Other changes were non significant. Among boys there were slight non significant positive changes in the adjective checklist (t = 0.75, p = 0.46 and in attitudes toward inclusion in PE (t = 0.61, p = 0.55 and non significant negative changes in attitudes toward the modification of sport rules (t = -0.25, p = 0.81. Among girls we found non significant negative changes in attitudes toward inclusion in PE (t = -0.64, p = 0.53 and non significant negative changes were also found in attitudes toward the modification of sport rules (t = -1.26, p = 0.22. Full Text Available Purpose of the article: Purpose of this article is to analyze and evaluate the conditions of Private equity and Venture capital financing in the Czech Republic and selected other European countries. The research is conducted in the form of comparative study. This research also identifies the barriers of this type of financing and proposes solutions for improvement. Scientific aim: The scientific aim of this article is observed mainly in the thorough analysis of available information about this topic and in the formulation of measures that would help to improve the conditions of PE/VC financing in the Czech Republic. Methodology/methods: In order to acheve the scientific aim of this research the following scientific methods are used: analysis, synthesis, inductive reasoning, description and comparison. Graphical visualization is used for demonstration of results. Findings: Several limitations and problems that hinder the development of PE/VC financing were identified. For example insurance and pension funds cannot invest in this type of assets. There is also little or no support from the government and public funds of funds or so called funds of venture capital do not exist. Following measures are proposed in order to improve the situation. Full implementation of the 2003/41/ES regulation formulated by the European parliament on June 3rd 2003. Public support of PE/VC financing - for example in a form of tax deductible loss originating from the PE/VC investment. Government support of new enterprises through so called fund of funds. Conclusions: Venture capital and private equity are great possibilities for enterprises with a high grown potential. A list of limitations and their solutions is proposed by this research based on the comparative study. These findings can be used to improve the conditions of this type of financing in the Czech Republic.

. Erfolgreicher scheint die Methode der pho­netischen Vergleichung zu sein. Nach ihr können die GN Per̃sas, Veisiẽjis, Zapsỹs, Zebrỹs, Zem̃brė, Zervýlios und Zervýnas dem Stratum der spezifisch jatwingischen Hydronymie zu­geteilt werden.Jedoch scheint in unserem Falle diese Methode auch nur über begrenzte Möglichkeiten zu verfügen, weil die Lautbestände der Substrats- und Superstratssprache nur geringe Unterschiede aufweisen. Die dargelegten Umstände bringen es nahe, eine dritte Methode, nämlich die typolo-gisch-areale, anzuwenden.Die im Südwestlitauen angetroffenen ON/GN mit dem Suffix -ing-is,-ė: Pilvìngis, Rū́singė, Stabìngis (nach K. Būga, Angerìngis, Apsìngis, Kačìngė, Kūliñgė, Nedìngis, Pašilingė̃, Saũsvingis und Suvìngis (nach dem Verfasser stellen ein geschlossenes Areal dar, das an den Verbreitungsbereich der altpreußischen ON/GN von demselben Bildungstypus grenzt. Da­raus kann man folgern, daß dieses Areal eine Kontinuation des Bereiches der altpreußischen ONbildungstypen ist. Deshalb können die ,,-ing-is,-ė“-Bildungen als jatwingische Substrats­relikte betrachtet werden.Die heutingen litauischen Familiennamen vom Typus Saulýnas, deren ursprünglicher Verbreitungsbereich mit dem Areal der -ingis-suffigen ON/GN zusammenfällt, sind typologisch (Suffix sicherlich auch etymologisch mit den altpreußischen -yn-suffigen Personennamen (Antoryn, Dirsenyn, Kantewidyne verknüpft und stellen als Bildungstypus die jatwingische Kon­tinuität dar.Unsere obigen Ausführungen zeigen, daß die erfolgreiche Erforschung des jatwingischen Substratsnamengutes auf folgenden Prinzipien beruht: 1. auf der Stratifikation des Namengutes nach dem Substrat und Superstrat, 2. auf der beschränkten Anwendung der rein lexikologischen Methoden und 3. auf der vorzüglichen Anwendung der phonetischen Vergleichungs- und typologisch-arealen Methoden.Die unentbehrliche Bedingung einer solchen Untersuchung u. Full Text Available Progressivity of Basic Elements of the Slovenian National Alpine Ski School Ski school programmes in different countries are adapted to the local conditions and skiing trends. The aim of the study was to establish the progressivity of the three basic elements of the Slovenian ski school in terms of the duration of individual turns and their phases. Eight participants were recorded as they performed three basic elements of the Slovenian national ski school: wedge curves – E1, turns with a wedge push-off – E2 and basic swinging – E3. According to the ski school, the elements were divided into phases. The results of the computer-aided video analysis showed that in the beginning types of skiing in the same conditions on the same length of terrain, the average durations of turns and the times of comparable initiation and steering phases of the elements shortened on the methodical upward scale (from E1 to E3. The number of turns executed on the same length of terrain from E1 to E3 increased. A larger step in motor task complexity was indicated when a pole plant was included in skiing elements. Further, relatively large differences were observed in time durations among subjects executing the same elements. In conclusion, it can be assessed that the basic elements of the ski school are placed gradually in terms of progressivity in time durations. First it will examine this in the dramas of Arthur Schnitzler Zug der Schatten and Frank Wedekind’s Erdgeist, then will turn to the demarcated realm of Central European Modernism (with support from Moritz Csáky’s characterization of Zentraleurope as located in the works of Karel Čapek. Přes tuto skutečnost je role rodiny v etapách různých historických změn zkoumána zřídka. Výzkumný concept studie je založen na "teorii přechodu" (tj. raná sportovní socializace, na principu "generačního přenosu" (tj. interakce rodiče-děti, a to v rámci různého mikro (rodinného a makro (sociálně-ekonomického kontextu. CÍLE: Cílem studie je nalézt vztahy mezi ukazateli rané socializace v rodinném kontextu fotbalových hráčů - reprezentantů České republiky ve třech rozdílných socio-ekonomických časových obdobích. METODIKA: Byly zkoumány tři generace fotbalových hráčů národní reprezentace. Výzkumný vzorek P (n = 69 sestával ze tří sub-skupin: P1 (n = 23 - současná generace fotbalové reprezentace v letech kolem roku 1991, P2 (n = 23 - generace reprezentující v letech 1981 - 2001 a P3 - generace reprezntující v letech 1965 - 1987. Data byla získána semi-strukturovaným rozhovorem orientovaným na rodinné zázemí v etapě rané sportovní socializace každé generace. Odpovědi byly analyzovány a data tříděna v kategoriální škále (5 domén po 4 kategoriích. Dále byla data zpracována deskriptivní statistikou a srovnání vybraných kategorií mezi generacemi neparametrickým testem Chí-kvadrát na hladině významnosti p < 0,05. VÝSLEDKY: Shodná role otců byla nalezena ve všech třech generacích a take ve shodných kategoriích (typ výchovy, začlenění do fotbalu, motivační přístupy. Role matek byla odlišná ve vztahu ke generační emancipaci žen, ale vždy podporující sportovní vývoj dětí. ZÁVĚRY: Výsledky podtrhují význam rané sportovní socializace v rodině, důležitost generačního přenosu, funkci otce, matky i sourozenců jako motivátorů, a to bez ohledu na příslušnost ke kterékoliv ze t

Ni odna vpadina ne imeet nikakih morfologicheskih osobennostej, kotorye prepjatstvovali by svobodnomu vtekaniju i vytekaniju glubinnyh vod. Povyshenie temperatury vody po napravleniju ko dnu vpadiny, nachinaja s glubiny 3-5 km, javljaetsja prichinoj vertikal'nogo konvektivnogo peremeshivanija glubinnyh vod. Teoreticheski dokazano, chto, nesmotrja na stabilizirujushhij jeffekt vrashhenija zemli, ustojchivaja jacheistaja konvekcija dolzhna sushhestvovat' v glubinnyh slojah dazhe v sluchae ves'ma malyh sverhadiabaticheskih gradientov temperatury. Raspredelenie soderzhanija kisloroda po vertikali s harakternym vozrastaniem procenta nasyshhenija i absoljutnoj koncentracii O{sub 2} s glubinoj ot sloja minimuma (1000 m) do dna pozvoljaet predpolagat' nalichie ne tol'ko vertikal'nyh, no i gorizontal'nyh dvizhenij ili gorizontal'nogo peremeshivanija vo vsej tolshhe glubinnyh vod. V protivnom sluchae biohimicheskoe potreblenie kisloroda (ne menee 0,1 ml/l v god) privelo by k polnomu istoshheniju ego zapasov v glubinnyh vodah v sravnitel'no korotkij srok (40-60 let). Sushhestvovanie znachitel'nyh po skorosti (5-17 sm/sek) gorizontal'nyh techenij na glubinah 1000-3000 m bylo ustanovleno neposredstvennymi izmerenijami v Atlanticheskom i Tihom okeanah. Ne tol'ko cirkuljacija vod v fizicheskom smysle osushhestvljaet perenos rastvo rennyh i vzveshennyh veshhestv v okeane. Nepreryvnoe peremeshhenie zhivyh organizmov sozdaet dopolnitel'nuju ugrozu togo, chto radioaktivnye veshhestva, posle akkumuljacii ih v tkanjah zhivyh organizmov budut razneseny poslednimi i peredany po pishhevym cepjam na bol'shie rasstojanija i s bol'shoj skorost'ju, kak jeto uzhe

Otsutstvie dostatochnyh znanij o vozmozhnyh vrednyh posledstvijah ni v koem sluchae ne dolzhno privesti nas k oshibochnomu chuvstvu bezopasnosti. Takim obrazom, sleduet vnimatel'no izuchit' vse drugie vozmozhnosti jeffektivnogo udalenija othodov atomnoj promyshlennosti. Vvidu jetogo V. Filbert izuchil vopros udalenija othodov vo l'dy arkticheskogo i antarkticheskogo rajonov zemli. Tshhatel'noe issledovanie i opyty processov, vyzvannyh sbrasyvaniem radioaktivnyh materialov v morja, javljajutsja neizbezhnoj neobhodimost'ju. Doskonal'noe znanie jetih problem javljaetsja neizbezhnym dlja otveta na mnogie nerazreshennye voprosy v jetoj oblasti. V svjazi s jetim issledovanie processov smeshenija i rasseivanija v morjah priobretaet pervostepennuju vazhnost'. Budet proveden obzor, pokazyvajushhij nastojashhij uroven' teoreticheskih znanij i prakticheskogo opyta. V opredelennyh predelah statisticheskie dannye mogut osvetit' vopros o peremeshhenii v morjah nekotoryh koncentrirovannyh veshhestv iz odnoj tochki v rajone so srednim radiusom ot 10 do 1500 km. Jetot metod zavisit ot faktov, svjazannyh s turbulentnym rezhimom, poka eshhe ne izvestnym dlja mnogih morskih rajonov. Privoditsja ob{sup j}asnenie razlichnyh uslovij, sushhestvujushhih v razlichnyh rajonah okeana, a takzhe vo vnutrennih morjah. Jak se již stalo zvykem, na tomto místě nechceme podat zprávu o textech v pořadí jejich formální důležitosti či odborné zajímavosti – takto jsou uspořádány v přehledném obsahu čísla. Rádi bychom upozornili spíše na to, co byste možná jinak přehlédli. Tentokrát jsou to především přesahy do jiných světů, pootevřená vrátka k umění anebo hravé asociace na témata příliš vážná. Pokud se tomuto občerstvujícímu pohledu nevyhýbáte, podívejte se v první řadě na recenzi rozsáhlé diplomové práce Miroslavy Šulcové – popisuje v ní, jak je možné utvářet velmi osobní vztah k přírodě, a to prostřednictvím výtvarné tvorby s principy land-artu a akčního umění. Josef Straka uvádí knihu Jiřího Sádla (Prázdná země, listopadová část roku a rozehrává v ní celou škálu významů či náznaků, které nabízejí texty známého biologa. O poněkud mystické cestě k sobě samým podává svědectví Jiří Olšovský. Úvahy o bytostném vztahu člověka a přírody se zdají být tématem opravdu plodným, neboť tento okruh se bude brzy rozšiřovat o další texty, které k vydání teprve připravujeme. Zaměření našeho časopisu umožňuje publikovat i hravé a inteligentní inspirace do výuky vysokoškolské (Hrnečku vař Jiřího Nečase ovšem ukazuje pouze, jak neomezený růst modelovat, nikoliv jak mu poručit „Dost“ nebo základní (Bezpečná cesta do školy Jitky Heinrichové je popisem skutečného problému, ale i námětem pro zajímavou práci s dětmi. Do diskuzí o všeobecném základním příjmu a kontroverzi mezi environmentalismem a produktivismem vstupuje Pavel Baran – upozorňuje na kongres Basic Income Earth Network, který se vlastně již konal. insecticida pulverizado. Por toma de muestras de tierra y recuento de zonas delimitadas se estudio la distribucion bajo la superficie del suelo. Las muestras de agua tomadas en arroyos intermitentes y los ensayos realizados con insectos, mamiferos, reptiles y aves indicaron la distribucion inicial y subsiguiente del insecticida y sus metabolitos en el sistema ecologico. Los estudios de la poblacion animal siguieron durante los veranos de 1961 y 1962; en el verano de 1963 se reuniran todavia algunos datos. Los resultados preliminares indican que la poblacion de insectos vuelve a la normalidad unas tres semanas despues del tratamiento; no se observo efecto alguno en los animales vertebrados de la zona tratada. Ehtot insektitsid shirokogo dejstviya byl vybran dlya izucheniya v svyazi s ego vozrastayushchej rol'yu v bor'be s mnogimi vazhnymi nasekokymi-vreditelyami listvennykh i khvojnykh lesov Soedinennykh Shtatov. Dlya rasshireniya znanij po ehkologii lesnykh massivov, a takzhe bolee polnogo ponimaniya vliyaniya insektitsidov na faunu byla ispol'zovana svoeobraznaya vozmozhnost' izucheniya ehtikh problem odnovremenno posredstvom primeneniya mechennykh izotopami insektitsidov. S{sup 35} byla vybrana vvidu nizkoj ehnergii beta-izlucheniya (0,167 Mehv) i dostatochno korotkogo perioda poluraspada (87,1 dnya). Predvaritel'noe issledovanie uchastka zemli 0,1 akra letom 1961 goda pokazalo stepen' vozmozhnogo' primeneniya v usloviyakh obshchej radiatsii, a takzhe vozmozhnost' razrabotat' podgotovitel'nye metody dlya vzyatiya prob. Letom 1961 goda byl proveden obzor fauny dvukh bassejnov reki ploshchad'yu v 20 akrov kazhdyj. V mae 1962 goda odin iz nikh byl obrabotan tekhnicheski-chistym malationom v kolichestve 2 funtov na 1 akr v smesi s ksilolom, tritonom X-155 (ehmul'gator) i vodoj. Malation
