PROCESOS DE INTERCAMBIO TÉRMICO EN EL CRISOL DEL HORNO ALTO

Resumen en español En el crisol del horno alto (HA) ocurre con más intensidad el intercambio térmico y determina la calidad del metal (arrabio), la productividad del horno y los parámetros de operación. Las energías térmica y química necesarias para el proceso del HA se generan en el raceway (cavidad enfrente a las toberas). Este trabajo trata de los avances en la teoría del intercambio térmico en el crisol del HA que opera con parámetros de viento combinado. Se estudian los proce (mas) sos de calentamiento de los productos de la fusión en el raceway y del baño líquido en el crisol y el efecto de la inyección de carbón pulverizado (ICP) en el intercambio térmico en la zona oxidante. Un aumento en la productividad del horno requiere un aporte calórico complementario para el calentamiento del arrabio y de la escoria, y por tanto una elevación de la temperatura de llama. La ICP aumenta la radiación en el raceway, y esto permite operar con una temperatura de llama más baja. Estas conclusiones teóricas se confirman por cálculos para dos hornos altos en Ucrania y España, y por análisis estadístico de la operación de la mayoría de los hornos altos de países de la Unión Europea. En un horno de Alemania se ha investigado, usando la técnica láser, el efecto de la ICP y de otros parámetros del viento combinado, sobre el raceway Resumen en inglés Heat exchange occurs most intensively in the hearth of the blast furnace (BF) and determines metal quality, furnace productivity and operating parameters. The heat and chemical energy needed for the BF process is generated in the raceways. This paper is dedicated to the advancement of the heat exchange theory in the hearth of a BF operating with combined blast. The heating processes of products of melting in the raceway and in the liquid bath of the hearth and the effect (mas) of pulverized coal injection (PCI) on heat exchange in the oxidizing zone and its extension are studied. An increase in furnace productivity requires additional heat power for the heating of pig iron and slag and therefore a rise in flame temperature. PCI increases radiation in the raceways, thus permitting BF operation with a lower flame temperature. These theoretical conclusions are confirmed by calculations for two BFs in the Ukraine and Spain and by statistical analysis of the operation of the majority of BFs in EU countries. At one BF in Germany the effect of PCI and other combined blast parameters on the raceway extension was investigated using the laser technique.
