Caracterización raman y edx de películas delgadas de CN X crecidas por ablación láser

Resumen en español En el presente estudio se depositaron películas delgadas amorfas de nitruro de carbono a-CNx utilizando un blanco de grafito pirolítico con una pureza de 5N, sobre substratos de silicio (100) en una atmosfera de gas de nitrógeno, usando la técnica de depósito por láser pulsado. Las películas de a-CNx se crecieron a diferentes temperaturas del substrato y diferentes presiones del gas nitrógeno; se utilizó un láser Nd:YAG con una fluencia de 10 J/cm². Las pelícu (mas) las fueron caracterizadas por espectroscopia μ-Raman y con microanálisis por energía dispersiva de rayos X (ED X). Los espectros Raman muestran los picos característicos de carbono amorfo D (1354 cm-1) y el pico G (1555 cm-1), que corresponden a enlaces sp². Las intensidades de los picos característicos (I D/I G) en los espectros Raman indican que con el incremento de la temperatura del substrato y de la presión del gas de nitrógeno la relación entre las intensidades de los picos D y G (I D/I G) aumenta. El análisis EDX confirma la presencia de los elementos depositados C, N. La pluma del plasma producido por el láser fue caracterizada mediante espectroscopia de emisión óptica. En los espectros de emisión se identificaron especies atómicas (carbono y nitrógeno) y moleculares de CN. Resumen en inglés In the present study a-CNx amorphous carbon nitride thin films were deposited using a pyrolytic graphite target with a purity of 5N on silicon (100) substrate in a nitrogen gas atmosphere using pulsed laser deposition technique. We used a Nd:YAG laser with laser fluence of 10 J/cm². The films were characterized by μ-Raman spectroscopy and Energy Dispersive X-ray ED X microanalysis. The Raman spectra showed the characteristic peaks of amorphous carbon D (1354 cm-1) a (mas) nd G (1555 cm-1), corresponding to sp² bonding. The peak intensity ratio (I D/I G) from Raman spectra increases as substrate temperature and nitrogen gas pressure increase. The (EDX) analysis confirmed the presence of C, N elements. The plume plasma produced by laser was characterized by optical emission spectroscopy. From the emission spectra, carbon and nitrogen atomic species and CN molecule were indentified.

Resumen en español En este trabajo se reconstruye la historia térmica de algunos condros de la condrita ordinaria Nuevo Mercurio H5. Con base en evidencias texturales fue posible discriminar las temperaturas propias de la formación de condros de aquéllas del régimen metamórfico, lo cual constituye el aporte principal de este trabajo. Para este fin se obtuvieron 149 análisis químicos con microsonda electrónica en texturas de exsolución y bordes de piroxeno rico en Ca de tamaño micr (mas) ométrico, y en cristales de enstatita en contacto con los anteriores. Debido a que los piroxenos ricos y pobres en Ca son fases en equilibrio metaestable, por medio del geotermómetro para dos piroxenos se calcularon las temperaturas mínimas de cristalización indicadas por las posiciones del solvi en el campo de estabilidad de cada fase. El rango de temperatura de formación y enfriamiento en estos condros ocurrió entre 915 y 1284 °C y quedó registrado en los núcleos de los fenocristales de enstatita e inclusiones de augita. La presencia de fases de temperatura alta está apoyada por espectrometría Raman. Por otra parte, el rango de temperatura entre 817 y 933 °C se interpreta como el resultado de un metamorfismo progresivo, el cual se registra en los bordes y exsoluciones de piroxeno rico en Ca. Por medio de un análisis mineragráfico de la asociación sulfuro de Fe + aleaciones Fe-Ni se verificó que la temperatura de metamorfismo no sobrepasó la temperatura de 988 °C, correspondiente al eutéctico de este sistema. La presencia de plagioclasa sódica detectada únicamente por difracción de rayos X confirma que el tipo petrológico es 5. Resumen en inglés In this work we reconstructed the thermal history of some chondrules of Nuevo Mercurio H5 ordinary chondrite. We selected pyroxene-rich chondrules of different textural groups (RP, C and PP) showing diopsidic rims and exsolution textures and obtained 149 WDS microprobe chemical analyses. In order to calculate the temperature, we used the QUILF program for two-pyroxene thermometry, which yielded minimal values of crystallization because Ca-poor pyroxene formed prior to Ca- (mas) rich pyroxene. Presence of contraction cracks, clinoenstatite Raman spectra and enclosed olivine in enstatite phenocrysts suggest formation temperatures much greater than 1200 °C. The highest pyroxene temperatures were obtained for augite blebs and grains (1065-1232 °C), pigeonite lamellae (1037-1103 °C) and enstatite cores (1277-1284 °C). On the other hand, calculated temperatures for augite lamellae and diopsidic rims are 933-817 °C, whilst enstatite reached temperatures from 915-988 °C. We found in the five chondrules of Nuevo Mercurio that diopside rims and Ca-rich augite lamellae reached a minimum temperature range between 817 °C and 933 °C, and interpreted this temperature range as the peak of thermal metamorphism. We conclude that pyroxene temperatures from Nuevo Mercurio chondrules had two origins: the highest, albeit minimum temperatures (1283-915 °C) preserved from chondrule formation, and the lowest temperatures (933-817 °C) reflecting prograde thermal metamorphism well inside the chondritic parental body, as suggested by the low cooling rate reported by other authors of 15 °C/Ma. We performed mineragraphic analysis of troilite + Fe-Ni alloys in order to verify that the metamorphic peak did not reach the eutectic temperature of this opaque minerals association at 988 °C. X-ray diffraction data detected sodic plagioclase, a secondary recrystallization product confirming the thermal metamorphism grade 5.

Estudio de la cristalización de Cu2O y su caracterización por difracción de rayos X, espectroscópica Raman y fotoluminiscencia

Resumen en español Se reportan los resultados de la cristalización de óxido cuproso (Cu2O) por el método de cristalización secundaria de sustratos de óxido de cobre policristalino en atmósfera de aire seco. El método consiste de dos etapas; en la primera se oxidan placas de cobre policristalino a 1020°C por algunas horas acorde con su espesor, en la segunda se promueve el crecimiento de los cristalitos por recocido térmico a temperaturas de ~1100°C por varias decenas de horas. Se (mas) estudió la cinética de crecimiento de los cristales, y las muestras de Cu2O se caracterizaron por difracción de rayos-X (DRX), espectroscópica Raman y fotoluminiscencia (FL) en función de las condiciones de cristalización. Los resultados de la caracterización por Raman y DRX indican que en las muestras sólo existe la fase Cu2O. Las mediciones de FL para el intervalo de temperaturas de 10 a 180K permitieron identificar las principales vías de recombinación radiativa. Además de la transicion excitónica X° en 610 nm se detectaron tres bandas en 720, 810 y 920 nm generadas por recombinación de excitones ligados en vacancias de cobre y oxígeno. Las transiciones generadas por recombinación de excitones ligados a vacancias se modifican de acuerdo a la duración del proceso de cristalización. Resumen en inglés The growth of poly crystalline cuprous oxide (Cu2O) foils with great single-crystalline areas by the secondary crystallization method from polycrystalline copper in dry air atmosphere is reported. The method comprises two stages; in the first one polycrystalline copper foils were converted in cuprous oxide at 1020°C by some hours depending of their thickness, in the second stage the growth of great crystalline areas are promoted by annealing the Cu2O foils at temperature (mas) s near to 1100°C by extended periods. The growth kinetics of the crystallites was studied; X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy scattering and photoluminescence (PL) measurements were done as a function of the crystallization conditions. The XRD and Raman scattering measurements reveal the existence of pure Cu2O phase. The PL spectra taken from 10 to 180K define the main paths of the radiative recombination processes. Besides of the excitonic transition X° at 610 nm, three strong bands at 720, 810 and 920 nm associated with relaxed excitons at oxygen and copper vacancies, respectively was detected. The relative intensity of the PL transitions of excitons at vacancies change according to the duration of the crystallization process.
