Resumen en español En la medicina regenerativa e ingeniería tisular, son necesarios soportes con alta porosidad que puedan ser adaptados para imitar la naturaleza de la matriz extracelular (ECM) en términos de estructura, composición química y propiedades mecánicas. En este trabajo se utiliza la quitosana, un polímero natural biocompatible, como soporte y fue preparado por la técnica de separación de fases inducida térmicamente con el fin de que adquiriera características apropiad (mas) as. Se investigó la influencia de diversos parámetros como la concentración del polímero, la temperatura de la separación de la fase y la incorporación de nanotubos de carbono de pared múltiple (MWNTC). Se encontró que las propiedades mecánicas del soporte se incrementan considerablemente con la adición de bajos porcentajes de MWNTC. La caracterización de los materiales se obtuvo por microscopia electrónica de barrido (SEM), análisis termogravimétrico (TGA), espectroscopia infrarroja (FTIR), así como sus propiedades mecánicas y su velocidad de degradación hidrolítica. Resumen en inglés In regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, scaffolds with high interconnected porosity are necessary because they can be potentially tailored to mimic the natural extracellular matrix (ECM) in terms of the structure, chemical composition, and mechanical properties. In this work the preparation of Chitosan, a natural biocompatible polymer was used as scaffolds and was prepared by thermal induced phase separation in order to acquired an appropriate characteristics, th (mas) e influence of several parameters as polymer concentration, quenching temperature and the incorporation of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) was investigated where it was found that the mechanical properties of the scaffolds increase considerably with the addition of small percentage of MWCNT. The Materials characterization was made by Scanning Electronic Microscopy, Thermal Mechanical Analysis, Fourier Transformed Infrared Spectroscopy and hydrolytic degradation rate.

Resumen en español Existe un gran interes hacia los vidrios sulfuros debido a la alta conductividad inherente del ion litio en estos compuestos, dada la polarizabilidad del ion sulfuro. En el presente trabajo se presenta un estudio sistemático de la conductividad del sistema vitreo Li2S-Sb2S3-P2S5 y se discute su posible aplicación en baterías de estado sólido. La síntesis de vidrios fue realizada por el método de fusión-templado y su amorficidad fue confirmada mediante el uso de dif (mas) racción de rayos X (DRX), microscopía y calorimetría diferencial de barrido (CDB). La conductividad de estos vidrios fue analizada por medio de espectroscopía de impedancia (EI). La conductividad iónica de las muestras alcanzó valores del orden de μS/cm a temperatura ambiente, que permite ubicarlos como electrolitos sólidos de litio. Además, se reportan los valores de energía de activación y factor preexponencial de acuerdo al modelo de conductividad lineal tipo Arrhenius y por otro lado se ajustaron los datos de impedancia con un modelo de circuito equivalente del tipo R(RQ)(RQ). Los resultados son comparables a otros tiovidrios de litio basados en P2S5, SiS2, GeS2, As2S3 etc. Aunque las conductividades iónicas obtenidas no son suficientes para aplicaciones en baterías tradicionales, estos nuevos vidrios podrían ser utilizados en microbaterias de estado sólido de litio en forma de las películas delgadas. Resumen en inglés There is a great interest in sulfide glasses because of their high lithium ion conductivity. This work presents the study of new glasses based on Li2S-Sb2S3-P2S5 system which are ionic lithium conductors with possible application in solid state batteries of lithium. The synthesis of glasses has been performed by classical quenching technique and glassy nature was confirmed by various techniques as X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Microscopy and Differential Scanning Calorimetry ( (mas) DSC). Conductivities have been determined by Impedance Spectroscopy (IS). Some compositions of high lithium content have presented ionic conductivities close to 10-6 S/cm at room temperature that permits to consider them as solid lithium conductors. In addition, the values of activation energy, Ea, pre-exponential factors, gσ0, and circuit equivalent model R(RQ)(RQ) were reported. The results are comparable to those ones of other lithium glasses based on P2S5, SiS2, GeS2, As2S3 etc. Despite ionic conductivities are insufficient for application on common batteries, those new glasses based on Li2S-Sb2S3 and prepared as thin films could be used on solid state microbatteries of lithium.

Caracterización de películas luminiscentes de óxido de hafnio activadas con Eu3+ depositadas por la técnica de rocío pirolítico ultrasónico

Resumen en español Mediante la técnica de rocío pirolítico ultrasónico, se depositaron películas de óxido de hafnio activadas ópticamente con europio trivalente. Estas películas son amorfas a temperaturas de substratos menores de 350°C, mientras que para temperaturas mayores las películas son policristalinas presentando la fase monoclínica del HfO2. Se estudiaron los espectros fotoluminiscentes de esas películas como función de algunos parámetros de depósito, tales como las t (mas) emperaturas de substratos y las concentraciones del ion activador (Eu3+). Excitando con radiación de una longitud de onda de 395 nm, todos los espectros de emisión fotoluminiscente presentan bandas centradas en 578, 591, 598, 612, 653 y 703 nm, asociadas a las transiciones electrónicas del europio trivalente. A medida que las temperaturas de substratos se incrementan, se observa un aumento de las intensidades fotoluminiscentes. Asimismo, se observa una inhibición de la intensidad de la fotoluminiscencia a partir de determinados valores de la concentracion del ion activador. También se muestran los resultados de las composiciónes químicas de los materiales depositados y las características de la morfología superficial de dichas películas. La banda principal de excitación, centrada en 395 nm, hace de este material un excelente candidato para aplicaciones en lámparas de estado sólido con emisión de luz blanca. Resumen en inglés By means of the ultrasonic spray pyrolysis technique, trivalent europium doped hafnium oxide films were deposited. These films are amorphous at substrate temperatures lower than 350°C, for higher substrate temperatures the films are polycrystalline presenting the HfO2 monoclinic phase. The photoluminescence spectra for these films were studied as a function of the substrate temperature and the doping concentration. Samples excited with 395 nm radiation showed photolumine (mas) scence emission bands centered at 578, 591, 598, 612, 653 and 703 nm, associated to the electronic transitions of the trivalent europium. As the substrate temperatures are increased, an increment of the photoluminescence emission intensity was detected. Also, a concentration quenching of the photoluminescence intensity was observed. In addition, the chemical compositions of the deposited coatings and the characteristics of their surface morphologies are shown. The excitation band peaked at 395 nm, makes this material an excellent candidate for applications in solid state white lamps.
