Residuos de plaguicidas organoclorados en 4 tipos de aceites vegetales/ Organochlorine pesticide residues in 4 types of vegetable oils.

Resumen en español Esta investigación tuvo como objetivos identificar y cuantificar residuos de los plaguicidas organoclorados (POC) hexaclorobenceno (HCB), lindano, cis-clordano, heptacloro, aldrín, dieldrín, endrín y o,p’-diclorodifeniltricloroetano (o,p’-DDT) en aceites de maíz, soya, girasol y mezclas de aceites, que se expenden en la ciudad de Maracaibo, Venezuela. Se analizaron 30 muestras de 4 tipos de aceites de 10 marcas comerciales. La extracción de residuos de POC se real (mas) izó según la técnica de la AOAC. Para la identificación y cuantificación se utilizó un cromatógrafo de gases con detector de captura electrónica (GC-ECD), y para la confirmación, un cromatógrafo de gases acoplado a un espectrómetro de masas (GCMS). Todos los residuos de POC investigados fueron detectados en las muestras analizadas. Se detectaron en mayor concentración (mg/ g) aldrín (0,0088), lindano (0,0054) y o,p’-DDT (0,0035). Resumen en español Con la finalidad de proteger a los cultivos de las plagas sin provocar más daño al ambiente y al humano, se ha generado la búsqueda de nuevos insecticidas y repelentes amigables y efectivos. El objetivo de este trabajo fue comparar la actividad biológica de trans-anetol, de extractos acuosos, aceites y turbios, obtenidos de la destilación por arrastre de vapor, de flores, hojas y planta completa de Tagetes filifolia sobre la mosca blanca Trialeurodes vaporariorum. La (mas) repelencia se evaluó al exponer dentro de un olfatómetro adultos del insecto a un disco tratado por 24 h, mientras que la toxicidad a adultos, inhibición de la oviposición y del crecimiento de ninfas, se evaluó mediante el confinamiento de adultos en una jaula entomológica sobre una hoja tratada y mediante el tratamiento de ninfas con el método de aspersión. Los extractos acuosos y turbios de las diferentes estructuras no causaron repelencia, ni efecto insecticida. En cambio, los aceites y el trans-anetol causaron alta mortalidad (69%) y repelencia de adultos (70%), inhibición de la oviposición (90%), interferencia en el crecimiento ninfal (50%) y emergencia de adultos (50%), pero no afectaron la duración del ciclo de T. vaporariorum (21-30 días). El trans-anetol y el aceite floral tuvieron mayor efecto sobre adultos de mosca blanca, a nivel de la Concentración Letal y Concentración de Repelencia. La actividad biológica de los extractos se relacionó positivamente con la concentración. Por tanto, los aceites de T. filifolia evaluados representan una herramienta útil en el manejo integrado de T. vaporariorum. Resumen en inglés In order to protect crops from pests without causing more damage to the environment and humans, the search for new friendly and effective insecticides and repellents is underway. The objective of this study was to compare the bioactivity of trans-anethole, aqueous extracts and oils and residues, obtained by steam distillation, from flowers, leaves and whole plant of Tagetes filifolia on the whitefly Trialeurodes vaporariorum. Repellency was evaluated by exposing adults of (mas) the insect inside an olfactometer to a disk of treated leaves for 24 h, while the toxicity to adults, inhibition of oviposition and nymphal growth was studied by caging adults on treated leaves and by treating nymphs with a spray method. The aqueous extracts and residues of the different structures did not cause repellency or an insecticidal effect. Nevertheless, the oils and trans-anethole caused high mortality (69%) and repellency in adults (70%), inhibition of oviposition (90%), interference in nymphal growth (50%) and adult emergence (50%), but did not affect the life span of T. vaporariorum (21-30 days). The trans-anethole and floral oil had the greatest effect on whitefly adults at the level of Lethal and Repellency Concentrations. The biological activity of the extracts was positively correlated with concentration. Therefore, the oils of T. filifolia evaluated represent a tool in the integrated management of T. vaporariorum.
