Se observaron diferencias muy significativas (p Resumen en inglés Two groups of patients with chronic cervical pain were studied. Each ot them was composed of 90 patients of both sexes aged between 21 and 76. The case-base study was treated with low power laser, and the control group with infrared rays. There was statistically significant improvement (p (mas) one was under treatment with a combination of helium-neon and infrared laser, the second one with helium-neon laser, and the third one with infrared laser. Highly significant differences were observed (p

Rodríguez Sotelo, Pedro; Rodríguez Sosa, Víctor Manuel; Toirac Martínez, Rafael; Gómez Barry, Hilario
1996-06-01

To assess the effect of helium-neon (He-Ne) laser on the regeneration of the sectioned and sutured sciatic nerve, 72 Wistar rats were used, divided in three groups, all of them irradiated with He-Ne, xenon light and solar light, respectively. The rats whose nerves were irradiated with xenon and solar light evolutioned the same than the witness group, that is, in their totality they presented trop (mas) hic injuries of higher or lower degree and also motorial injuries. In the He-Ne group only the loss of a nail of a finger was observed, and no motorial disorders were appreciated. REACCIONES CON TEMPERATURA PROGRAMADA ENTRE EL METANO Y CARBÓN ACTIVADO OXIDADO/ TEMPERATURE PROGRAMED REACTIONS BETWEEN METHANE AND OXIDIZED ACTIVATED CARBON/ REACÇÕES A TEMPERATURA PROGRAMADA ENTRE METANO E CARVÃO ACTIVADO OXIDADO

Conde, Laura R.; Conde, Alfonso; Díaz, José de J.
2007-12-01

Resumen en inglés The partial oxidation of methane was studied by reactions in absence of O2, between methane diluted with helium and oxidized carbon. In each reaction the molar fraction of methane was held constant while the temperature was modified continuously. The method probed to be useful to distinguish the presence of three kinds of reactions: one at low temperature with the exhaustible formation of C2H4, other at medium temperature that led to the formation of CO, CO2, H2O, C3H8yC4 (mas) H10 and other at high temperature that led to the formation of C2H4 y C2H6; the products at low and mediumtemperature disappeared as the temperature increased while the products observed at high temperature increased with the increase in temperature. Two mechanisms of reaction are proposed: one of them could explain the discontinuous formation of C2H4, C3H8 and C4H10 at low and medium temperatures; the other could explain the formation of C2H4 and C2H6 at high temperature. The results show the possibility of simultaneous valorization of methane and carbon.
