Evaluación de control neuronal con arquitectura óptima para convertidor DC/DC/ Evaluating neural control with optimal architecture for DC/DC converter

Resumen en español El control de convertidores DC/DC, topologías utilizadas ampliamente en la reducción activa de contenido armónico para equipo monofásico no lineal de baja potencia, plantea grandes retos de diseño debido a lo complejo del modelo matemático y su característica dinámica altamente no lineal. Técnicas de inteligencia artificial como las redes neuronales, suponen grandes mejoras en el diseño y desempeño final, dada su capacidad de aprender dinámicas complejas y gen (mas) eralizar su comportamiento. La motivación de este trabajo fue la de plantear (y posteriormente evaluar la respuesta dinámica) un lazo de control directo con redes neuronales, que permitiera adicionalmente eliminar elementos de prueba y error en su diseño. Se propone un control directo basado en red neuronal artificial, cuyo diseño se realizó de forma óptima utilizando modelos de búsqueda bioinspirada, esto para optimizar simultáneamente dos aspectos diferentes pero fundamentales de la red: la arquitectura y los pesos de las conexiones. El control es aplicado a un convertidor boost. Los resultados obtenidos permiten observar el desempeño dinámico del esquema, para el cual los tiempos de respuesta y los delta de voltaje en la salida permiten concluir que los criterios seleccionados para el diseño del control son apropiados y representan un aporte en el desarrollo de aplicaciones de control de sistemas conmutados DC/DC. Resumen en inglés Controlling DC/DC converters (topologies widely used in the active reduction of harmonic content for singlephase nonlinear low power equipment) raises great design challenges due to the mathematical model's complexity and its highly nonlinear dynamic characteristics. Artificial intelligence techniques, such as neuronal networks, suppose great improvements in design and final performance, given their capacity for learning complex dynamics and generalising their behaviour. (mas) This work was aimed at proposing (and evaluating dynamic response later on) direct control link with neuronal networks which also allowed eliminating test elements and error in its design. Artificial neuronal networkbased direct control was designed as well as possible using bioinspired search models. This simultaneously optimised two different but fundamental aspects of the network: architecture and the weight of the connections. The control was applied to a boost converter. The results led to observing the scheme's dynamic performance; response time and exit voltage delta led to concluding that the criteria selected for designing the control were appropriate and represented a contribution towards developing control applications of DC/DC switchmode systems.

Resumen en español En el presente trabajo se hace un análisis actual de la capacidad instalada de producción de energía eléctrica utilizando fuentes de energía renovable en Portugal y se analiza la situación actual relacionada con convertidores electrónicos de potencia. Además el trabajo aporta información sobre la simulación de topologías de convertidores de potencia en los sistemas de energía eólica, los convertidores usuales de dos niveles, el convertidor multinivel y el con (mas) vertidor matricial. Se usa el método de la modulación de los pulsos de disparo mediante vectores espaciales de tensión y el control por modo de deslizamiento. Resumen en español Este trabajo muestra las características de operación de un convertidor matricial (CM) empleado en conversión CA-CA trifásica, operado con control escalar y con control vectorial del voltaje de salida. La conversión directa CA-CA por medio de convertidores matriciales permite modular la tensión, frecuencia y fase del sistema eléctrico trifásico a objeto de controlar el comportamiento de la carga, y permitir la regeneración de energía de la carga a la alimentaci� (mas) �n principal. Con un control adecuado, esta configuración puede ser más versátil que el sistema tradicional de conversión CA-CA indirecta, formado por la conexión en cascada de un conversor AC-DC, usualmente no controlado, y un conversor DC-AC tipo inversor trifásico. Los convertidores matriciales son complejos debido a que su matriz de conmutación usa dieciocho interruptores unidireccionales y cada conmutación es crítica. En este trabajo se consideran cuatro métodos de control escalar y un método de control vectorial. Los algoritmos de control se prueban mediante simulación digital en una PC en Matlab y a continuación se aplican experimentalmente, utilizando plataforma de desarrollo basada en el procesador digital de señales AD-21364 de Analog Devices. Resumen en inglés This paper offers the operational characteristics of the matrix converter (MC) used in AC-AC conversion operated with a scalar control and with a vector control of the outlet voltage. Direct AC-AC conversion using matrix converters allows for the modulation of the tension, frequency and phase of the three-phase electric system in order to control the behavior of the load and account for the regeneration of power of the load to the main supply. With an adequate control thi (mas) s configuration may be more versatile than the traditional indirect AC-AC conversion system formed by the cascade connection of a usually uncontrolled AC-AC converter and a three-phase DC-AC inverter-type converter. The matrix converters are complex since their commutation matrix uses eighteen unidirectional switches, and each commutation is critical. This work considers four scalar control methods and one vector control method. The control algorithms are tested through digital simulation in a PC in Matlab and then are experimentally applied using a development platform based on the AD-21364 signal digital processor of Analog Devices.
