Full Text Available Le cancer du sein, ainsi que celui ovarien, est une maladie fréquente chez les femmes, ayant un traitement assez difficile et, malheureusement, de sérieuses répercutions sur le physique ; c’est pourquoi il s’avère essentiel que la maladie soit dépistée dès les phases précoces. La prédisposition génétique est responsable de 5% des cancers et de 25% des cas apparus avant l’age de 30 ans [Breast Cancer Linkage Consortium, 1997]. Nous présentons ici l’implication des gènes suppresseurs des tumeurs BRCA1 et BRCA2 sur cette prédisposition.

This document presents the different taxes imposed to petroleum products in France: domestic tax on petroleum products (TIPP) and added value tax (TVA). A comparison is made with the fiscality into effect in other European countries for some petroleum products. Then, the fiscality is detailed for the different petroleum products and automotive fuels with its regional modulations. Finally, the fiscal measures adopted in 2007 are detailed. They concern the transposition of the European directive 2003-96/CE into French right and some fiscal regime changes given to some economical sectors particularly penalized by the rise of petroleum energy prices in 2007. Objective: To investigate the effect of Panax notoginseng saponins (Pns) against cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury. Methods: Focal cerebral ischemia-reperal ischemia-reperfusion model in rat was established by occlusion the middle cerebral artery for 2 h, after 3 h reperfusion. The serum concentration of IL-8 was detected with radioimmunoassay (RIA). Results: Png 50 mg·kg -1 ip, qd x 7d before MCAO decreased the serum content of IL-8 after ischemia-reperfusion. Conclusion: Pns has protective effect against cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury by decreased the serum content of IL-8

The rapid measurement of anti-reactivities, in particular very low ones (i.e. a few tens of {beta}) appears to be an interesting method for the automatic start-up a reactor and its optimisation. With this in view, the present report explores the various methods studied essentially from the point of view of the time required for making the measurement with a given statistical accuracy, especially as far as very low activities are concerned. The statistical analysis is applied in turn to: the methods for the natural background noise (auto-correlation and spectral density); the sinusoidal excitation methods for the reactivity or the source, with synchronous detection ; the periodic source excitation method using pulsed neutrons. Finally, the statistical analysis leads to the suggestion of a new method of source excitation using neutronic random square waves combined with an intercorrelation between the random excitation and the resulting output. (authors) [French] La mesure rapide des antireactivites, en particulier celle des tres basses (soit quelques dizaines de {beta}), apparait comme une voie interessante pour le demarrage automatique d'un reacteur et son optimalisation. Dans cette optique, le present rapport explore diverses methodes etudiees essentiellement sous l'angle de la duree de mesure necessaire a une precision relative statistique donnee, plus particulierement en ce qui concerne les tres basses reactivites. L'analyse statistique porte successivement sur: les methodes du bruit de fond naturel (autocorrelation et densite spectrale); les methodes d'excitation sinusoidale de reactivite ou de source, avec detection synchrone; la methode d'excitation periodique de source par neutrons pulses. Enfin l'analyse statistique amene a proposer une methode nouvelle d'excitation de source par creneaux neutroniques aleatoires alliee a une intercorrelation entre l'excitation aleatoire et la sortie resultante. Full Text Available Avec plus de deux mille participants, cinq cent cinquante communications orales et posters dont quatre-vingt-onze en « Health and Nutrition », il devient presque impossible de suivre même partiellement le programme d’autres divisions. Ce congrès, et particulièrement la Division Health and Nutrition, devait beaucoup au Secrétaire général de l’AOCS, Marc Bieber, mort malheureusement quelques jours plus tôt. The instrument described here allows the direct and almost immediate measurement, with a precision of the order of 1 per cent, of the time taken by a reactor to double its power. The method of measurement consists of noting the instants when the power of the reactor passes the levels P{sub 1} and P{sub 2} such that P{sub 2} = 2 P{sub 1}, and of measuring the time lapse between these two instants. The instrument picks out, in the course of one rise in power, several levels, P{sub 1}, P{sub 2}, P{sub 3}... etc, chosen in such a manner as to give several successive measurements of the doubling time. It is also capable of making these same measurements when the reactor is working below the critical level. C’est aux professeurs de les appliquer et aux auteurs de manuels de les suivre. De là il va sans dire qu’ils ont une certaine influence sur la perception des cultures anglophones chez l’apprenant. Les programmes se basent sur des concepts didactiques développés explicitement pour l’enseignement des cultures dans les cours de langues en Allemagne. Cet article tente d’analyser les principes didactiques essentiels et d’examiner leurs implications méthodologiques. Par ailleurs, il examine les paramètres d’une approche culturelle orientée vers le Canada qui pourrait satisfaire aux exigences de l’enseignement de l’anglais langue étrangère en Allemagne.

Thus bifurcation phenomena are naturally included in the new integrability theory. Typical examples include the classically nonintegrable Riccati equation, certain non-Euclidean mean field theories, certain parabolic reaction diffusion equations and the hyperbolic nonlinear telegrapher's equation. By using the concept of strong necessary conditions (CSNCs), we derive Bogomolny equations and Bogomol’nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield (BPS) bounds for two certain modifications of the baby BPS Skyrme model: the nonminimal coupling to the gauge field and the k-deformed ungauged model. In particular, we study how the Bogomolny equations and the equation for the potential reflect these two modifications. In both examples, the CSNC method appears to be a very useful tool. We also find certain localized solutions of these Bogomolny equations.

Full Text Available L'imparfait, cette valeur controversée en français (comme d'ailleurs pour une grande partie aussi dans les autres langues romanes, grâce à une riche tradition latine oscille essentiellement entre ses emplois aspectuo-temporels d'une part et ses distributions modales de l'autre, encore qu'il faille compter sur une forte osmose entre les deux. Quand il apparaît avec les verbes dits modaux, il peut en résulter des interférences extrêmement riches et subtiles d'ordre polysémique (à l'intérieur d'un verbe et d'ordre synonymique (pour certains couples de verbes, mais qui en fin de compte, sur le plan suprasegmental, laissent rarement un doute, puisque englobées dans des séquences contextuelles suffisamment extensives qui concourent à la désambiguïsation des énoncés.

Il n’y a pas de modifications dans le système nerveux (y compris dans le nerf sciatique quand la teneur en acide oléique augmente dans l’alimentation.– Quelques modifications mineures sont observées au niveau des concentrations des autres acides gras : diminution de l’acide palmitique, en particulier dans le foie et le muscle, mais pas de modifications pour l’acide stéarique.– La somme des acides gras (n-6 est constante, sauf pour le coeur, le rein et le nerf sciatique – mais sans modification du 22:5(n-6. The results of corrosion tests on magnesium and some magnesium alloys (Mg-Zr and Mg-Zr-Zn) in moist air (like G1 reactor) and in CO{sub 2}: (like G2, G3, EDF1 reactors) are reported. The maximum temperature for exposure of magnesium to moist air without any risk of corrosion is 350 deg. C. Indeed, the oxidation rate follows a linear law above 350 deg. C although it reaches a constant level and keeps on very low under 350 deg. C. However, as far as corrosion is concerned this temperature limit can be raised up to 500 deg. C if moist air is very slightly charged with fluorinated compounds. Under pressure of CO{sub 2}, these three materials oxidate much more slowly even if 500 deg. C is reached. The higher is the temperature, the higher is the constant level of the weight increase and the quicker is reached this one. However, Mg-Zr alloy behaves quite better than pure magnesium and especially than Mg-Zr-Zn alloy. (author)Fren. Agent-based crowd behaviour consists a significant field of research that has drawn a lot of attention in recent years. Agent-based crowd simulation techniques have been used excessively to forecast the behaviour of larger or smaller crowds in terms of certain given conditions influenced by specific cognition models and behavioural rules and norms, imposed from the beginning. Our research employs conditional event algebra, statistical methodology and agent-based crowd simulation techniques in developing a behavioural econometric model about the selection of certain economic behaviour by a consumer that faces a spectre of potential choices when moving and acting in a multiplex mall. More specifically we try to analyse the influence of demographic, economic, social and cultural factors on the economic behaviour of a certain individual and then we try to link its behaviour with the general behaviour of the crowds of consumers in multiplex malls using agent-based crowd simulation techniques. We then run our model using Generalized Least Squares and Maximum Likelihood methods to come up with the most probable forecast estimations, regarding the agent's behaviour. Our model is indicative about the formation of consumers' spectre of choices in multiplex malls under the condition of predefined preferences and can be used as a guide for further research in this area.

Full Text Available La question des autochtones est devenue, durant les deux dernières décennies, une préoccupation majeure dans différents pays du monde, comme en Argentine où environ 600 000 individus se reconnaissent comme tels, soit 1,5 % de sa population totale. Toutefois, ces populations sont encore trop souvent marginalisées à l’échelle de certaines régions, comme c’est le cas pour les Mapuche du Parc National Nahuel Huapi, situé dans les provinces du Rio Negro et de Neuquén. Si les textes internationaux et parfois nationaux réhabilitent certains droits humains essentiels de ces populations, les réalités locales sont plus contrastées, du fait d’intérêts souvent divergents des acteurs régionaux. Full Text Available La volonté de l’État de mieux prévenir les risques, notamment par un meilleur contrôle de l’usage des sols, est souvent perçue localement comme une contrainte. Il est difficile pour les acteurs locaux d’accepter le déclin d’une gestion jusque-là essentiellement techniciste de l’aléa au profit d’une gestion visant à réduire la vulnérabilité. Pourtant, après une phase d’opposition à la politique préventive, certaines communes commencent à intégrer le risque d’inondation dans leurs stratégies de développement territorial. Le risque est conçu non comme une contrainte extérieure, mais comme un élément de l’identité territoriale, et une occasion de mettre en œuvre de nouveaux modes d’aménagement.

Full Text Available Dans la présente étude nous allons essayer de démontrer que la BD représente certainement un phénomène de civilisation, qui donne la possibilité aux apprenants d’une langue étrangère de mieux comprendre un comportement culturel spécifique. Elle aide les apprenants à améliorer leur compétence socio-culturelle, parce qu’elle fait ressortir des éléments de civilisation pertinents, des clichés fréquemment rencontrés dans le monde francophone. La langue utilisée dans les BD est le français de tous les jours, l’accent est mis sur la conversation dans les plus diverses situations et à l’aide des registres de langue différents. Ce sont des motifs suffisants qui recommandent l’utilisation de la BD en classe de FLE, sans oublier de mentionner un atout essentiel : l’humour.

Full Text Available The dynamics of the law is natural in the existence and evolution of the state legal system. The law has to be actual, always actual, if not in a perfect harmony, at least in an efficient harmony with the social status of a country. The constitution, by being itself a law, more precisely a fundamental law, has to comply with the existences of the system dynamics. But not in any way. In order to fulfill its regulating and especially, civilizing role, constitutional revisions have to meet certain substantiations of content and legislative technique, but also certain demands of constitutionalism. One of these demands is that the revision (amendment, supplementation, etc. of a constitutional text is not a step backwards as regards democracy and rule of law. The efficiency of constitutional revisions is questionable if they restrict or remove classic rules and principles such as: freedom respect, property respect, free access to justice, earned rights, presumption of innocence.

One implication of this is that it is unlikely that these bids are subject to collusion among bidders, or “shilling” on the part of sellers. Parenthetically, we also show that numbers from the naturally occurring Fibonacci and Lucas sequences also obey Benford’s Law.

Certain known economic analysis models for a LMFBR fast breeder and CANDU thermal solitary reactors are presented, based on the concepts of discounting and levelization. These models are subsequently utilized as a basis for establishing an original model for the econometric analysis of certain thermal reactor systems or/and fast breeder reactors. Case studies are subsequently conducted with the systems: 1-CANDU, 2-LMFBR, 3-CANDU + LMFBR which enables us to draw certain interesting conclusions for a long range nuclear power policy. (author)

Full Text Available L'examen qualitatif de contenus stomacaux de Barbeaux du Haut-Rhône français met en évidence un régime alimentaire assez varié, essentiellement zoophage, avec une composante permanente constituée, par ordre de dominance décroissante, de larves de Diptères, d'Ephéméroptères, de Trichoptères et de Nématodes. Ce régime parait, d'autre part, davantage lié à la taille, à l'âge du poisson et au faciès du cours d'eau, qu'à la composition de la faune benthique. Le Barbeau est planctonophage et microbenthophage pendant son jeune âge ; il devient essentiellement benthophage en vieillissant.

Full Text Available This retrospective look at the 1979 British Council travelling exhibition to Paris, Un Certain Regard Anglais, considers whether it was an accurate picture of English art practices at the end of the decade. I examine the aims of its English and French curators, and its reception by art critics and audiences. I find that the exhibition raises timely questions about how national characteristics might be reflected in art practice, and how, despite the cultural and societal shifts of the 1970s, omissions on the grounds of colour and gender prevail. With this in mind, my short essay finds that the radical objectives which are often attributed to this period of English art practice were not so widespread as history would have us believe.

Trees are commonly utilized to describe the evolutionary history of a collection of biological species, in which case the trees are called phylogenetic trees. Often these are reconstructed from data by making use of distances between extant species corresponding to the leaves of the tree. Because of increased recognition of the possibility of hybridization events, more attention is being given to the use of phylogenetic networks that are not necessarily trees. This paper describes the reconstruction of certain such networks from the tree-average distances between the leaves. For a certain class of phylogenetic networks, a polynomial-time method is presented to reconstruct the network from the tree-average distances. The method is proved to work if there is a single reticulation cycle.

In the frame of the MIDIA activities (coordination of whole body counters operating in Italy) an intercomparison on dose evaluation methods was promoted and carried out between October 1995 and March 1996 by 5 WBC centres. The main results related to the estimation of Intake and effective dose equivalent on the four case studies are reported. A comparison with European preliminary results is also presented. Finally perspectives related to the quality assurance of internal dosimetry estimates are indicated. Not only because its age and complexity, but because the uniqueness of its vision in which the sacred underlies the art of theatre and interferes with it. This research is based on textual criticism to emphasise the role of the sacred and its avatars (deities, ceremonies of consecration, symbols with religious and performing functions... in the economy of theatre art as it is seen by the ancient Indian treatise on drama. The present work aims at the investigation of the following : - Assessment of radiation induced damage on thyroid gland includes: - Serum triiodothyronine (T-3) hormone. - Serum tetraiodothyronine (T-4) hormone. - Assessment of radiation induced change on testis including: - Serum testosterone. - Histopathological study on testis. - Investigation of the radioprotective role of ''estradiol benzate''estrogen as a female sex hormone on the radiation induced changes in the above mentioned parameters at single and fractionated doses tested either before and after radiation exposure. Also its selected the beneficial dose of estrogen as a protective agent on the parameters selected for the present study in irradiated rate. The aim of this study was to describe imaging markers of decision-making under uncertain conditions in normal individuals, in order to provide baseline activity to compare to impaired decision-making in pathological states. In this cross-sectional study, 19 healthy subjects ages 18-35 completed a novel decision-making card-matching task using a Phillips T3 Scanner and a 32-channel head coil. Functional data were collected in six functional runs. In one condition of the task, the participant was certain of the rule to apply to match the cards; in the other condition, the participant was uncertain. We performed cluster-based comparison of the two conditions using FSL fMRI Expert Analysis Tool and network-based analysis using MATLAB. The uncertain > certain comparison yielded three clusters - a midline cluster that extended through the midbrain, the thalamus, bilateral prefrontal cortex, the striatum, and bilateral parietal/occipital clusters. The certain > uncertain comparison yielded bilateral clusters in the insula, parietal and temporal lobe, as well as a medial frontal cluster. A larger, more connected functional network was found in the uncertain condition. The involvement of the insula, parietal cortex, temporal cortex, ventromedial prefrontal cortex, and orbitofrontal cortex of the certain condition reinforces the notion that certainty is inherently rewarding. For the uncertain condition, the involvement of the prefrontal cortex, parietal cortex, striatum, thalamus, amygdala, and hippocampal involvement was expected, as these are areas involved in resolving uncertainty and rule updating. Full Text Available L’article passe d’abord en revue plusieurs types de rire dans la littérature, dont le rire fondé sur le mépris des défauts humains, élément essentiel de la comédie classique; le rire fou, véritable explosion d’énergie comique, spécialité de Rabelais; le rire gracieux de la pastorale et de la comédie élégante; et le rire complice des clowns qui contournent les obstacles.  À ces genres de rire, il faut ajouter le rire compatissant, lequel, à partir du 19e siècle, allie la mise en évidence de défauts ridicules des personnages avec une certaine sympathie pour leur humanité.  L’essor de l’égalité de principe entre les êtres humains, trait spécifique des temps récents, rend possible ce type d’humour qui modère le mépris et le rejet de nos semblables au nom de la compassion et de la pitié.

Full Text Available Les 9èmes Journées Nationales de RANACLÈS (1999-2001 se sont tenues au CALUP (Centre d'Apprentissage des Langues de l'Université de Provence, faculté St Charles, Marseille, du 29 novembre au 1er décembre 2001. RANACLÈS (Rassemblement National des Centres de Langues de l'Enseignement Supérieur, association créée en 1992, est la branche française de CERCLES, Confédération Européenne des Centres de Langues de l'Enseignement Supérieur.  Le congrès RANACLÈS réunit des responsables de centres ayant pour mission de fournir des formations en langues à des étudiants spécialistes d'autres disciplines (universités, écoles, Instituts Universitaires de Technologie, Instituts Universitaires Professionnalisés.... Les participants, essentiellement des pédagogues de terrain, trouvent, lors du congrès annuel, une occasion de partager leurs expériences, de s'informer et de réfléchir sur leur pratique. Le thème retenu cette année était celui de la motivation. Les ateliers ont présenté des expérimentations "motivantes" intégrant les TICE, essentiellement dans une perspective de pédagogie de projet. L'atelier des exposants a certainement souffert de questions de calendrier (Salon de l'Éducation, tout proche, à Paris et n'a rassemblé que quelques constructeurs (équipement et quelques diffuseurs. Dust particles produced by calcium carbide and iron-alloy factories strongly inhibit the germination of the spores of Physcia pulverulenia. The spores of Xanthoria parietina and above ali of Lecanora hageni are much more resistant. This agrees with the distribution of these Lichens around the factories. The three species show the same scale of resistance with respect to town dust. The basicity of the particles plays certainly a part in the inhibition of spores, but this can not be the only active factor. Up to now attention has been drawn upon the damages caused by gaseous pollutants to Lichen gonidia. The present work shows that solid particles can sometimes be responsible for Lichen scarcity and that the Lichen fungus is also sensitive to certain pollutants. 9 references, 1 figure, 5 tables.
