Dr. Walter Warnick, Director of the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI), presented WorldWideScience.org at the public meeting of the International Council for Scientific and Technical Information Annual General Assembly, June 22 in Nancy, France.
Lynne Brindley, Chief Executive, the British Library, left, and DOE Under Secretary
for Science Dr. Raymond L. Orbach, center, signed an agreement to partner on the
development of a
global science gateway. Dr.
Walter Warnick, Director of the DOE
Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI), attended the ceremony
held at the British Library in London, England, on January 21, 2007. OSTI will work
with the British Library and international
counterparts to develop the prototype for the global science gateway.

A signing ceremony to partner on the development of a global science gateway,
called WorldWideScience.org, was held at the British Library in London, England,
on January 21, 2007. Representatives of the U.S. Department of Energy,
the British Library and the International Council for Scientific and Technical
Information were observers.
